Although Lineker and the panel was downplaying the game, I thought it was good. Hedge of the seat stuff, and it was for a place in the next round for Christ sake!. And we went to the "American express stadium" and beat them so "That will do nicely".

What a very controlled performance that was, they never had a sniff of goal, Sels had nothing to do which shows how well we defended, even Pep had to admit that. We were the better side in the second half and I thought we would get something out of the game which we deserved. So we've played Arsenal and Man City in consecutive games, two clean sheets and now we can look forward with 4 points in the bag to securing either 2nd or 3rd spot! Nuno had the team spot on for today's game. COYR.

Totally agree mate I said before this run of 3 games Newcastle Arsenal and City if we can get 3pts from them we are top 4 finishers imo and we got 4
Nuno got his selection tactics and formation spot on today and we were deserved winners big shout out to Neco and Aina today they nullified Doku and Saviniho

An odd game last night as we huffed and puffed for the first hour. Ipswich never really threatened and we had no threat upfront either, even when Woods came on it made no difference. Brighton will want some revenge but in a way that suits our style as we are a better counterattacking team as opposed to playing lesser teams and expecting to dominate. Massive game on Saturday, could be crucial for our European hopes and it would be great to get one over City.

Williams has been a great member of our back line this season, cannot for the life of me think why anyone would think that signing him from Liverpool was anything other than great business. Williams and Aina have both cemented their places.

I read your article Stokey with a big smile on my face. Spot on as usual. A while ago I listened to Ian Holloway eulogising over Nuno as a tactician, he thought he was one of the best tactical coaches in the premiership. He is also obviously very well liked and respected by the players, that is a very rare mix of talents.

Totally agree. I think that we should start with either Elanga or CHO not both against teams like Arsenal, we needed that extra body in midfield early doors to give us a bit more go forward instead of conceding possession. However a very organised defence never really looked like being overrun, having said that Arsenal don’t have the strikers that Newcastle do.
