Nottingham Forest owners are going to splash the cash and show their authority in the January market by signing two new wingers and two new defenders in order for them to get in the playoffs

Believable26 Unbelievable16

They are also going to try again to get work permits for Bader Al Matawa and the other Kuwaiti they tried to sign before.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see there being too many changes in January. I'd expect a right winger and left sided defender only. Think coppinger will return to donny and Derbyshire and mcgoldrick to stay on loan where they are. With regards to bader, I think we will try and fail with the work permit again. Whats your thoughts ed?

Simon {Ed034's Note - i would expect a big name trasfer, maybe someone like jenas, even if it only to stay on loan until then end of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

SOD will only ask for what he wants....having enough trouble finding balance as it is! A winger is clearly being sought and he has stated he wants another defender.

Am I allowed to ask where his proclamation comes from? Is based on? Just a guess?

Agree0 Disagree0

Given reports that we have tried and failed in loan bids for pennant, hall and Brady the past week or so it seems that right wing will be a priority. I'd love jenas until end of season, got a feeling he has a big part to play for us this season.

Sunderland will revive their interest if he is fit and he will go...its the Prem after all.

Forest main target in the January transfer window is Jason Roberts!
EA

Believable9 Unbelievable31

I believe something was said about building a club for the future Roberts was good in his time but I think we need someone a little younger.

Agree0 Disagree0

We needed him last year but not now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah cos we do not have enough strikers and SOD is not having trouble integrating everyone as it is?

Agree0 Disagree0

Only have 3strikers. Reading only used to get promoted. Why shouldn't we?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be happy to see him in our goal shy squad

Agree0 Disagree0

No. No he is not.

Agree0 Disagree0

EA as in "this news came from EA Sports Fifa 13"?

Agree0 Disagree0

3 goals today....good enough?

If SOD loses the next back to back games I heard that the Hasawi's will bring in the little master Billy Davies back to the city ground {Ed034's Note - hi Billy, hope your keeping well ;-) lol

Believable8 Unbelievable49

Don't believe that for one moment

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want him, SOD is better and will not be going any time soon

Agree0 Disagree1

Lets all move on from the whole billy thing please. That's the past, lets look to the future. COYR

Agree0 Disagree0

LMFAO...

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol.just dislodged a lung laughing!

Agree0 Disagree0

We played some great football under king Bill and i was gutted he was sacked, then over looked when sc was let go. but i am happy with the board/sod so far n cant see this happenin. ftid coyfr

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope SOD gets the job done but if not then get Billy back....better than all the other unemployed half wits out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard similar about SOD being under threat if we lose a few on the trot. Not sure about the Billy bit. Hope the board are patient. SOD's Red and White Army!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice one Ed. Thanks for the interest Bill, but no thanks. Sad if you've spent all the compo from last year already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Weve just spent a fortune getting the academy back up an running and renamingv it after billy shut it !! its not just about getting it right on the pitch?

pinxton

Agree0 Disagree0

At last the Billyites have moved on and hopefully seen him for what he was insecure, self obsessed, devisive with no interest in club building {Ed034's Note - the kept us up and then took us to two play offs. i am not saying i want him back but he does not deserve that sort of stick

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree ED, Billy did get us to the play offs and as for shutting the academy it wasnt Billy that did that it would of been the board. I like SOD but if he does go then i want Billy Davies back at Nottingham Forest {Ed034's Note - it does make me laugh that billy gets blame for shutting it. do people really think he had the final say on that?

Agree0 Disagree0

Bill would not use young players or fringe players that is a fact. Billy publicly stated he did not want a reserve team and would prefer friendlies. Accept it, much as he did a lot of good he is not the manager for these owners who want to develop the youth, the academy and production of our own stars. BD has never been that type of manager, he seeks out experience and seasoned players.

Obviously the person who made up this rubbish and others do not follow the owners statements? They have stated this is a consolidation year, they have backed SOD to redevelop the club and its structure and they have highlighted promotion in 2 to 3 years. people calling for SODs head should look back at last season and realise we have a long way to go to challenge clubs like Cradiff, Wolves, Blckburn, Blackpool etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

If king billy is so good how come he still on the dole is it because no one wants him or is it down to family tax credits?

Agree0 Disagree0

Getting him back would be a backward step. No thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Saying the board shut the academy doesnt mean he (BD) didnt have anything to do with it, billy scrapped the res's straight away an derby entered theirs the same season, they were playing at alfreton town near me.
also billy wanted to loan out the decent talent in the youth ranks and shunned anyone making it into the squad, he preffered to spend some money on fresh faces.
if billy was doing all this instead of using the academy then why should the board keep it open ?
also, as soon as billy left ND restarted the academy with a promise of 1 mill funding a year (same board)
billy shut the academy

pinxton {Ed034's Note - very much blind hatred of billy. regardless of what billy wanted to do with the reserves (and if you actually know the reason behind why he wanted to pull out of the reserve league, it actually makes sense), the reason to shut the academy was not down to billy. even if he advised to do it, it wasn't him who had the final say.
i really do not understand the abuse some fans give the manager that kept us up and then got us into the play offs twice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy Davies did good things with the first team, he gave little if no attention to the rest of the playing staffs development and lost us John Pemberton with his attitude.

That said, he served a purpose but he is not the manager now nor will he be. The owners want development from within, from the reserves (under 21s) and the academy. This is not and never will be Billy Davies forte and he is well known for not trusting young players which is why he bought in experience.

The sooner people let it go the better, he is not coming back under this regime.

Camp WILL be signing a new deal. He wants a buy out clause if a prem team come in for him and there is some bonus' to sort out in the terms but will all be sorted and he will be staying. SOD wants compitition for no1 spot tho so expect a good standard keeper to come in soon. Might have to wait till jan tho. You reds!

Believable19 Unbelievable5

If he wants a buy out clause then I say dont bother if hes already looking to jump ship first chance he gets, he had a mardy on all last year! we only want people who are commited

Agree0 Disagree0

Was great under billy but sh!te since, never bin premier league class, got to big a chip on that great big head. theres better out there

Agree1 Disagree0

No way would they allow a clause unless it's with an obscene fee attached. Let's have Hart in!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm torn on this one regarding a buy out clause,it shows where he wants to play and it also shows a certain amount of commitment to us.if he puts the performances in and gets us in the play off positions then moved in January I wouldn't be too happy but if he did well all year, we didn't quite make it to the play offs and then he moved id be pleased for him.forest in the play offs and then the prem with camp in goal would be great but when our defence gets settled it will be that good I could play in goal! :-) 2 tone

Agree0 Disagree0

You believe this nonsense? Nobody knows details of any talks not even SOD as he publicly stated! Camp had no offers, his ego misled him, he will sign but is not in the driving seat at all. {Ed034's Note - totally agree that nobody knows, but that also goes for yourself i presume. at the end of the day camp is a very good goalkeeper and one we all should be getting behind to help our club move forward

Nottm Forest will bid in the region of £400,000 for Motherwell's Nicky Law

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Hope not, don't need him and he's not good enough anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone has only posted this rumour as Nicky Law is from Nottingham. Probably posted by one of his mates!
