Nottingham Forest are set to offer Christophe Berra a contract when he becomes a free agent on July 1st.

Believable22 Unbelievable31

Surely if we after him we can offer him contract now, why wait.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think we can wait until Monday

Agree0 Disagree1

If everything is true then were having 5 new players, a new kit and a new sponsor all on July the 1st
Some how I think Monday will come and go

Agree3 Disagree1

New kit won't be revealed until July 16th. General sale from 19th july. New sponsor should be known first week in July. Finally big wes will be back within a week.

Agree0 Disagree2

Oh God no, He's a liability. Leave him in League 1, that's about his standard

Agree0 Disagree1

Awful defender. Very slow and just all round poor. No thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's barely Conference standard bloody awful player no wonder Wolves went down!

Nottingham forest have enquired for walsall winger jamie paterson a goalscoring winger, 21 years old.
Huddersfield had a bid rejected, burnley and blackpool also believed to be interested

Believable30 Unbelievable14

Sounds very much like the deal could be done by 1 July. Don't know a lot about him.

Agree1 Disagree1

Looks like a deal is almost done for this young winger, thanks to Ned. There was interest from a few other clubs, so hopefully he'll do alright.

Agree0 Disagree1

Does anybody know what side he plays? We have Stephen mclaughlin on the left, (young upcoming we all hope) and hope this guy is right sided. Potentially two young good future wingers. COYR {Ed034's Note - left

I've heard Forest are interested in Walsall winger Jamie Paterson, Huddersfield also interested.

It's official according to EMT Forest have had a bid for Wes rejected!

Believable27 Unbelievable9

I would take him back, he only really went so we could get more players in. Offer them 1 million and a day off from emptying the bins, that should seal the deal!

Agree1 Disagree0

Any idea how much are we putting another bid in? Do you know ed? {Ed034's Note - nope. I would expect £1m to be enough though

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand it was £750k. £1-1.2m should do it. Apparently he wants the move.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you think he can step up to the premier league if we get promoted?

Agree0 Disagree0

Playing for the Club he loves in the top flight of English football? Course he can step up!

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't want the cart horse {Ed034's Note - you mat not bit the vast majority of forest fans do

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring him home Billy bring him home

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love big wes back top bloke and player

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo please bring him home. Captain Morgan COYR

Agree0 Disagree0

But to be honest folks, why would Leicester sell their captain to their local rival and who would they replace him with?. If they went close to promotion this time, why rock the boat. He has another three/four years in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would absolutely love this to happen. Rumoured 750k. Surely we will up that over next few days and wes will push the move

Simon

Agree0 Disagree0

He went for all the right reasons and would be coming back for exactly the same, never caused any bother
I'm sure fawaz will open the chq book if needed, come on wes put a transfer request in to come home

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wants to come back to us then festre will let him go for the right price, once a player has had his head turned to a new club their form drops because their harts no longer in it, look what happend to camp

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to see the major oak back home

Agree0 Disagree0

We cold really do with his commanding presence at the back alongside halford, Lichaj and Reyes (none of whom look like big powerful defenders. ) would be a great signing

Agree0 Disagree0

They've got the money to replace him aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

Billy Davies would of done a cracking job if he signs Morgan. In my eyes he's taken everything into account. Wes the tank. Reyes with pass. Lichaj who will be going in for all challenges. Maybe one more defender now as cover and I'd be happy. Next WINGERSSSSS :)

Agree1 Disagree0

Halford looked big to me last season, hope he's not shrunk!

Agree0 Disagree0

Modern day forest legend we need local players, its in their hearts, they know what it means to play for us. bring back wes.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2013 18:30:52
Been confirmed by nat jackson that we've had a bid rejected by the foxes for big wes, going to be announced on EMT in a min

Nottingham Forest want free agent Franco Di Santos to fire them into the premier league.

Believable14 Unbelievable21

Bit of a come down from hooper isn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks!Hes rubbish a can't score won't score type of player.

Agree2 Disagree0

No disrespect to Di Santo but we need to be buying 2 or 3 "proper" players or forget about the Prem I`m afraid. I don`t think we`ll have the minerals without. We need young players at the top of their game who perform week in week out. QPR will go straight back up and competition for the other 2 spots will be super fierce and we won't be in 1 of them. We need to go that extra mile or be prepared for a top 10 spot.

Agree1 Disagree1

If there is a god this will not happen!

Agree0 Disagree0

QPR to go back up. I wouldn't bet on that yet?

Agree2 Disagree1

Reading will be the team to watch QPR are the next Pompey you heard it here 1st!

Agree0 Disagree1

If you think Hoopers coming anywhere near Nottingham forest in this transfer window your clearly out of your mind. That goes for half of the other names that have been suggested ie Carlton Cole. Reminds me of the time we nearly signed Gareth Bale. Remember that little gem?

Agree0 Disagree0

The Bale deal was not a rumour, it was nearly complete but spurs pulled out because of an injury to their left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say qpr are more likely to go down than up. if they don't go up they'll do a portsmouth for sure

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't score with my sister never mind 20 a season striker no thanks {Ed034's Note - I've heard even Derbyshire could ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair the bale deal was agreed from what I heard and was only stopped when ekoto got injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Just waiting for Gomez From Blackburn Rumour too start

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone reackon that Kevin Phillips would be useful as a player to bring in?

Agree0 Disagree1

Di Santo was very highly rated as a Chelsea youngster and, although I didn't rate him a few seasons ago, he definitely improved under Martinez. Technically speaking, he is of much higher quality than Blackstock or Henderson (he played for Argentina last season!) and I believe he'd score and assist quite a few goals in this division. Unfortunately we already have those aforementioned players on long-term contracts and the club appear to have their eyes set on a 'special' signing so a deal looks unlikely.
I assume this has been made up by somebody anyway, is Di Santo seven on a free? At least its a feasible story, I s'pose I. e. If you honestly believe Gary Hooper is going to return to the championship this season then you must be a little bit mental (and that's putting it kindly)

Thanks for reading,
Gaz x {Ed034's Note - thanks gaz mwah lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Philips already signed a year extension with Palace weeks ago, he will only be a bit part player anyway.

Surely we would be looking at someone younger than Kevin?

Sharp will do the business provided he has good service and doesn't have to run out wide as we don't have any proper wingers. yet. {Ed034's Note - no he hasn't. He has been offered one and they are talking, but nothing has been signed

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats with all the negativity? if you think we're in a position to sign proven Prem goalscorers you're dreaming.

He's only 24, got 3 years of Prem experience behind him, capped by Argentina. best years ahead of him and fair to say he'd be a handful in the Championship.

Agree1 Disagree0

No negativity here. Just a dose of reality. This is where we are, which is infinitely better than 18 months ago. If Fawaz I serious, which I hope he is, he`ll need to spend big, or very shrewdly (no cheaply) if he wants Forest in the Prem. So far the signs have been. ok, but not brilliant.

i av heard changing the name of the city ground, to generate more funds for billy.

Believable11 Unbelievable31

So long as it retains the name City Ground, I have no concerns - eg The Messila City Ground or The Al-Hasawi City Ground?

Agree1 Disagree2

Yep totally agree keep city ground in the name, perhaps someone should tell Fawaz why it got its name even though its outside the city, but maybe he knows?
Anyway only a rumour a.

Agree0 Disagree2

You could tell me as well? What's the story with the name?

Agree1 Disagree1

It makes no odds what the grounds official name is. Newcastles ground is the sports direct stadium but still largly know as st james part.

Agree0 Disagree1

It actually got changed back to Saint James Park not long after.

Agree0 Disagree1

Whether any new name includes the words 'City Ground' or not, everyone will still call it that. No idea what the problem is

Agree0 Disagree0

What happens when St James wants his part back?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea no probs with naming cg as always know it as cg+long as brings money in more income the better in ffp

Agree0 Disagree0

Won't make much difference to ffp if you read the details so not much point. Keep our world famous city ground name!

Agree0 Disagree0

The 'generate more funds for Billy' ground. that's a poo name!

Forest want Richard dunne

Believable6 Unbelievable36

He has gone to derby. Should have had ward.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take him, would also go for Given+ Kevin Doyle, wages might be a problem but all are very experienced.

Agree0 Disagree0

No he's not gone too direby

Agree2 Disagree1

Very much doubt that, he's getting on and his wage demands would prove to be a huge problem.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunne hasn't gone to Derby, Clough has said he would be a good addition and would be interested if Dunne would drop a division. Dunne has expressed desire to stay in Premiership.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not gone to Derby . that is much a rumour as this is

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't rate him.

Agree0 Disagree1

It's not a rumour it true go o and website

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing a 2 year with Derby

Agree0 Disagree1

Is this the same richard dunn from bradford knocked out by mohammed ali?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ricardo Vaz Te to arrive at the city ground on a 3 and a half year contract

Believable13 Unbelievable29

Ur joking

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have u heard this? And I don't get the 3 and a half year deal u get half years in jan transfer window not start of season

Agree0 Disagree0

3 and a half that's unusual normally it would b summer when contracts expire not Xmas somebody has fed u duff info or your trolling

Agree1 Disagree0

Surely you only sign the extra half year when you are bought in January.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look if your going to make things up atleast get your facts straight so it makes it believable.
paul scholes is a free agent let's snap him up

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't mind him being signed up. but, you were doing alright, up to the point of the contract, then it becomes unbelievable.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the only 3. 5 that should be mentioned is the amount west ham want for him! Forest won't pay £3.5m for him anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

The Hull local paper linking Darlow with the Tigers. Doubt this is true though!

Believable6 Unbelievable29

Definitely a lie, he is apparently off to Oldham on a 4 Year deal

Agree0 Disagree2

I appologise op I hit unbeivable by mistake. I also read the same on crazy talk and some fans think darlow is a very good young keeper for the future. Also read where hooper wants prem football now and not wanting to start in the championship. Now this could be all bull, however it is rumoured.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's not a lie because it says it on the website to

Just been down to the city ground, seen Kuwaiti Airlines rep in car park. I wonder!

Believable19 Unbelievable26

Wonder what if we'll get discounted flights on Kuwati Airlines

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know he was with Kuwaiti airlines? Just out of interest? I hope it's true

Agree1 Disagree0

So how exactly did he/she/them stand out to suggest thay are Kuwaiti Airline reps? Were they surrounded by gorgeous air stewardesses dancing in the car park?

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw him as well there was 8 stewards all in uniform an he was wearing a pilots suit an hat also they were all carrying flight bags an duty free so it must be true. ,

Agree0 Disagree1

The plane was parked in the corner, come on. durrrrr

Agree0 Disagree0

1. he had a kuwaiti airlines badge on, acompanied by a stewadess.
2. Not cheap flights, prob sponsors.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not lying I was sat on the bench by the club shop and the stewardess came over asking if I wanted any drinks off the trolley.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Fawaz will level the City ground & turn it into an airport.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah I was near the ground as well, I thought a smartley dressed woman was waving at me, turns out she was do the emergency procedures routine.

Agree0 Disagree1

Did you have Tea or Coffee?
512

Agree0 Disagree0

Last seen floating under Lady Bay Bridge on a yellow inflatable life raft.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will the halftime food be brought to our seats?

Agree0 Disagree0

Before every home game I heard they're giving the in stadium safety procedures in case of emergency.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you park a Jumbo jet in the car park at the City ground?
Just thinking like.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've said before, they only have 17 planes, are they rich enough to be a BIG sponsor?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fawaz has 18

Agree0 Disagree0

Swansea just got new sponsorship 2 million, what sort of sum do you think championship team is going to get £500,000 my guess

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw him as well he was the well dressed guy carrying big signs wo neon lights saying k8t airlines rep

Agree0 Disagree0

Forests new kit has been released and its messila housing which is an alhasawi company so I doubt kuwait airlines will sponsor NFFC {Ed034's Note - when and where was it released??

Billy Davies will attempt to bring stoke midfielder geoff cameron to the city ground

Believable13 Unbelievable18

Why? He only joined Stoke this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a defender! {Ed034's Note - defensive mid by all accounts

Agree0 Disagree0

He's Stokes right back {Ed034's Note - says on the player site i use that he is a defensive mid. i don;t know much about him. is he any good?? what sort of player is he??

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a defender/midfielder. no better than we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sharp won't be signing as many have said before.

Billy has 3 targets for our 'main' striker, they are- Danny Graham, Gary Hooper and Ricardo Vaz Te. Enquiries have been made for all three but the Hooper deal looks unlikely.

As for Wingers, an enquiry has been made regarding Marc Albrighton. Adomah and Carayol are also targets.

Believable22 Unbelievable32

If we sign graham u can have my season ticket back!

Agree1 Disagree1

Graham and Hooper both over 5m, so bonkers. Vaz Te I can get as West Ham balance the books on Andy Carroll.

Agree on Sharp. Won't be coming.

Bridgey Red

Agree2 Disagree0

Which one of these 3 strikers will get you 20 goals a season. answer = 0
The only extremely remote possibility is Danny Graham, and he is too similar to Dexter and Hendo.

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true, I`m sorry, no chance of promotion.

Agree0 Disagree0

How to ruin someone`s day!

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of promotion because we won't sighn sharp??? he's good but not a world beater.

Agree1 Disagree1

Not purely the fact on not signing Sharp, but the signs of intention of putting a real effort into getting promoted. I think that possibly it will be harder this year than last. Competition looks strong right throughout the League.

Ok, its a rumour but those names mentioned. Hooper, no chance of signing as he is Premier bound and in my opinion the other two are not good enough. As somebody mentioned, Graham is in the mould of Dex and Henderson and Vaz Te, isn`t in my opinion prolific enough. {Ed034's Note - at this level graham is a good player. Vaz Te is the sort of player that can create something out of nothing. Both players would be extremly good for any side in this division

Agree1 Disagree0

Sharp looked uninterested after sod went so not to bothered if we don't get him. Can see vaz te happening. Be a good signing if he stays fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

None of these are realistic, I think Maynard would be a much better bet, pace and knows where the goal is. We should make use of the loan market like last year with some success.

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the strikers were prolific after Xmas you can use excuses about the midfielders not getting the ball to them but they were ok before Xmas. For me get whole new front line if they had banged the goals in perhaps we might be playing prem this year

Agree0 Disagree0

Danny Graham went to Sunderland in Jan right, for over 5m. There is no way that we can go for that. Seriously though how can you say he's no good. He's held his own in the Prem and looked very good for Swansea when they played him.

Bridgey Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Its the same old few saying that they are not good enough regardless of who they. would gareth bale be good enough, I doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are going to hand your season ticket back over graham, give it to me, it sounds like you don't deserve it. {Ed034's Note - i did find it a rather strange comment. graham is a decent player at this level

Agree0 Disagree0

Amazed at how melodramatic some people are being about us potentially not signing Sharp. He really wasn't that great for us last season and it's never seemed to me like Billy Davies rates him much.

Not going to lose any sleep over it personally if he isn't a Forest player next season. I'd be more than happy with Hooper, Graham or Vaz Te.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sharp is a quality player, serious quality at this level, if we don't sign him I suspect it will be because he doesn't fit into the style of play WMD wants.

Simples :)
