Michail Antonio strongly linked with a move to Middlesbrough. Muzzy Carayol could go on loan as part of the deal.

Cant c him going to a championship club surely might as well try with us then swap clubs, if a prem club comes in we will struggle to keep hold of him

He won't be going to another Championship club.

3.) 07 Jun 2015

Absolute bunkum Teessider!
Carayol has signed a new contract to play first team football and Boro cannot afford Antonio after you have spent all your cash re-signing all your out of contract players.
However, I'd swap Antonio for Friend & Leadbitter?

07 Jun 2015 16:29:13
Antonio is the top option for Boro. The Boro option if all is agreed will be a step up for the player without doubt.

Mustapha Carayol situation is that he needs to play, Forest can give him games, this is the rumour I've heard that he will go on loan if Antonio agrees to a move.

5.) 07 Jun 2015

Not much of a step up tho

6.) 07 Jun 2015

If one at all they've had one decent season

7.) 07 Jun 2015
07 Jun 2015 18:29:52
Surely it's not really a step up?

Boro could finish top six but could just as easily finish anywhere below the top six, they are no better than any other clubs who finished outside the top six, this Was proved when Norwich took them apart.

Norwich were the team as I recall that showed we weren't really up to much either despite a few good performances here and there.

Nevertheless I'd jump at the deal described by redinexile but I doubt they'd be that desperate to land Antonio.

Middlesbrough a step up what deluded planet is that bloke on? Get real mate you're an average championship team

9.) 07 Jun 2015
07 Jun 2015 21:12:12
Lets be realistic about where we are- its hard to admit it but i'd take a bet that bora will be a step up and will finish higher than us next season

10.) 07 Jun 2015
07 Jun 2015 22:10:02
Lets get real. Boro over achieved last season and relied on 35% of their leagues goals coming from loanees. Bamford for one will not be coming back.

Their star man Leadbitter is out of contract and will attract a bigger club and their back four got found out big style at Wembley when put under pressure.

They have a bigger rebuilding job than Forest for next season and the Antonio post is just a reposte for Forest trying to unsettle Ledbitter when the Poison Dwarf was manager!

Leicester will buy George Friend

07 Jun 2015 22:21:25
Regardless of what our situation why would he up root his family again to move up there for not much more money and not much more hope of promotion?
Boro had a good season but they won't be top 6next season after players going.bamford and vossen going, friend has been good and will have a lot of interest.i would of thought leadbitter would be a target for someone who need a good midfield Marshall (derby).
If Antonio goes it will be to a prem club or qpr.

When Boro are looking at players such as the quality of Antonio AND looking to spend £4m or £5m on one player, to me this ambition talking. The Antonio move would be a step up for the player because Forest lack ambition. Great club, great fans but when was the last time Forest spent big to stamp down a marker of intent?

Leadbitter and Friend will not be going anywhere. We don't need to sell, unlike other mid table Championship clubs.

Forest lacked ambition last season when they sold there better two players to Newcastle. This will happen again when Antonio and Lansbury go this month or next month.

The percentage side is that players want to go to ambitious clubs, and on the plus side earn a raise in wages.

True facts.

Ambition?forest could say in the press they are after messi doesn't mean it's true or it's going to happen.its not about ambition it's about being realistic.whoch in your case isn't happening.

14.) 08 Jun 2015
08 Jun 2015 04:32:05
Lacked ambition when they sold there two better players?jl and Darlow aren't all there cracked up to be and if you read this board you will see that.dont always believe what you see in the papers.jl has potential but in my opinion isn't going to make it as a prem defender and Darlow was poor last season
You talk about ambition yet your lot have let your best cm's contract run out,did he not want to sign another as he knows he will be able to move to a better club.
If I'm honest I don't think we will hear much coming from you next season.mid table finish like us is what I think will happen with you.

15.) 08 Jun 2015
08 Jun 2015 06:58:31
Lack ambition yet we spent 5.5 on Brit and 1.5 on Antonio which was just a great price. Jl and Darlow are no way our best players this seems more your desperate to believe he is moving to you plus I don't think he will go of 4 or 5 mill forest will want good money because of ffp think it's a case of Dream on.

16.) 08 Jun 2015
08 Jun 2015 07:54:09
Which player are you talking about, Leadbitter? He has a contract till 2018.

As for L and D sales to Newcastle, you spent the money, not kept them and spent to build a good squad, 2 out 2 in? That's not ambition.

Happily we have a chairman who is willing to spend big this summer.

17.) 08 Jun 2015
08 Jun 2015 09:43:49
It's nothing to do with ambition, it's do do with keeping within FFP. We kept two quality players for free for a season what getting a big transfer fee and were then able to buy the player your after and a centre forward who would have easily topped the leagues scoring charts if he didn't suffer the injury in January.
It's nothing to do with the respective chairmans wealth and ambition. If that was the case Steve Gibson would be nothing more than a car washer for our owners fleet of classic cars!!!

Everything is going to be ok. Danny Fox is in Freedmans plans for next season.

19.) 08 Jun 2015
08 Jun 2015 12:06:29
Forest last season showed over ambition last season and gambled on making the premier league, as mentioned above by spending the Lascelles/Darlow money on Britt and Antonio. Great bit of business by Fawaz, shows his commitment and desure for NFFC.
Just a shame most of our best players have glass legs! and that Pearce proved to be a disappointment. If Forest had their best 11 out for 75% of the games then the gamble could have worked. Missing Reid, Hobbs, Cohen, Wilson, Fryatt and Assombalonga for most of the season really crippled the side.6 players that when fully fit would walk into the Middlesborough side and most other sides in the Champ

MFC's Shopping List

1 New Right Back

3 New Centre backs to replace Woodgate Ayala and Gibson who have all been found out

Cover in midfield x 2

A left winger you can afford!

3 new strikers to replace your loanees and Kiki Dee or whoever the one who cannot score.

That's called building a squad to compliment the 5 decent players you actually have.

As your manager can only seem to loan players from his mate at Chelsea its hardly mounting a sustainable challenge?

If Gibbo wants to splash his cash again then go buy Jordan Rhodes and make a statement!

21.) 08 Jun 2015
08 Jun 2015 23:27:57
To be honest I don't see how our defence has been found out? Considering our defensive record as being the best. Word here is Bamford wants to return next month. We won't say no from "our mate" at Chelsea will we? The money is there for Rhodes, we made that statement in January.

Good luck this season, hope you improve on your below par position just gone, as we do, by two places hopefully.

Being truthful, There is only one Forest player that would walk into Boro's best 11, we know who that is, that's why we want him!

UTB and Up the Forest.

Just remember the loan your chairman pulled the plug on in the last minute last season. Do you really think our owner as forgot that one?
Premier league clubs looking at Antonio not was nearly there but got out played by a better team called Norwich on yet big day out. Still laughing at your lot crying on tele on your big day out 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
