evening all fellow reds

i have a bit of a predicament that perhaps you may be able to assist me with.

i am a salesman by trade and was visiting a good customer of mine in Walthamstow today. him being a spurs season ticket holder We had some feindly banter about the coming fixture and he asked if I would be going. As some of you know I live in Dorset but in the week I stay at a work flat in North london so getting to the game could be very easy, my only predicament is do I try and get a ticket in the mighty reds end or wait for it!! do I accept the seat that is free of charge next to my very good customer.
His conditions for the seat is I don't sing, I don't shout, and I don't wear red and white.

please help?

Get yourself a ticket in the Forest end and you sing, shout and wear the reds top all with pride.

I'd get a different customer! Are you allowed to breathe or is that regarded as a condition! I just bet he's nervous about getting beat.

No brainer - join us in the cramped corner, and sing and shout wearing the garibaldi!!!!

Tricky one that milbournered-I would sit with the reds to feel the fantastic away atmosphere, and off course to help swell the numbers but I would possibly regret it if we happened to spank spurs as I would want to hear the spurs fans groan.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Take the free ticket and try to control yourself when Assombalonga scores a hatrick.

I did a similar thing when we played west ham in the cup a couple of years ago. Don't do it- was a tenth of the fun, just meet him for a beer

I have a question…. I'm based in London and get up when I can, but is our allocation not going to be sold out by the time it goes on general release? I too can go sit with the Spurs lot, but I want to be in the away end. I reckon members will snap them up before I get a chance…am I right?

I would thank him for his kind gesture, however decline his offer. Be graceful and then in return ask him to join you in the pub to celebrate a reds victory.

I did a similar thing at Brighton, with free hospitality tickets in a box with Des Lynham. (Ps the bloke is a legend!)
It's probably the hardest game of football I've ever watched. No celebrating, singing or signs of disappointment when the equalised 88th minute after not seeing the ball the whole game, whilst the rest were going loopy.
Don't do it! Unless the customer is Bill Gates and his sales are going to allow you to retire.

I had the same problem with matches at Preston and Barnsley. With Preston I did not enjoy the experience and kept quiet. They were nutters!. with Barnsley . I came out. shouted and cheered for Forest and had some great banter with the Barnsley fans that surrounded me. I really enjoyed the experience. Thanks to those fans. they were great and made my day! Sad to see them go down.

Depends on your situation, if it will help your business then go with the customer. If it doesn't, well, no need to mingle with the enemy lol

There is nothing better than sitting with the home fans in a decent seat at away matches and chiding them with friendly banter when we score. The only downside is being polite when they score!
Been doing it for years as I object to being shoehorned into a corner of the ground and made to pay full price and not being able to see both ends of the goal
Take the freebie and rub it in!
