Heard a lot of noise from people insisting Paterson should be in the side. Where would you actually play him and who would you drop to make way for him ?

Paterson needs to be in for Burke, no end product, lansburys done nowt since he came back. Get Osborne in. Desperate for loan signings, not going to stop in top 6 , if they play again like yest.

Burke for me. He runs a lot but not much more. Saying that he wasn't bad against Cardiff. Possibly instead of Fryatt

For the Watford game I would go
Burke Vaughan Tesche Antonio
Paterson
Britt

Free role for Pato

Personally I think a free role behind the lone striker is the only way Paterson would fit into the side. It's a similar situation with Andy Reid. To play on the wing you also need to have disciplined defensive qualities to help the full back, especially when you're up against it away from home, which I don't believe Pato has. Too lightweight. So to fit luxury players like these into the side I believe a 4-2-3-1 formation would be best.

I would drop Antonio to the bench, and go with a midfield of
Vaughan
Osbourne Tesche
Burke
Paterson
Britt
as a 4-5-1

GawdenBennet so you would drop our best player the guy has the most assists in the league has scored a fair few and actually has a go at defenders. If he don't play Britt won't score. Yeah dropping Antonio is definitely the answer.

{Ed003's Note - Did you not think his laziness was part of the first goal conceded yesterday ? agree though it would be harsh to drop him.}

Pato played very well last season in a 5 man midfield.
So give him a couple games in position he played last season
It bout time we got midfielders chipping in with goals.
If Vaughen can stay fit things will improve.
But we need to bring in couple loans.
We also need to start playing it along floor like we did against spurs.

Disagree with the plan to drop Antonio. Whilst only 50 Percent of what he attempts comes off, he is by far our most attacking threat. Great attitude too.

9.) 20 Oct 2014
4-1-4-1 for me tomorrow. Vaughan holding and then Burke, tesche, Osborne, Antonio. With Britt up top. Definitely have pato on the bench too if we need to chase the game coming on in a number 10 role

Ed003 it wasn't just Antonio at fault for the first goal it was pathetic all round. We should of beat Cardiff their left back was the weak link Burke had him tied up in knots unlucky not to score then no one bothered to have a go till the 88th minute Antonio I think it was who left him in his wake crossed and bang Britt scored. Just saying.

{Ed003's Note - I know it was mate that's why I said part of - I wouldnt drop him.}

Paterson was our best player last season. Just seems strange that he doesn't even make the bench despite playing pretty well when he's been given the chance. Sure SP thinks he needs knocking down a peg or two which he may be right about but with the form were in, we need to change something. Osbourne and Paterson must play. Antonio, Tesche, Osbourne and Pato - Players who will actually look to take on the opposition. I said it the other week that too often our players receive the ball in the opposition half with their backs to the goals. Drive, determination and confidence needs injected asap.
