If we let Paterson go then this club really is blind and rotten.

Love him or hate him, Jamie Paterson when he came to this club was a breath of fresh air. He can run with the ball, take men on (and beat them), score goals, create goals.

In my opinion we would be letting our third most creative player leave (behind Antonio and Reid).

In a window where our hands are tied you have to keep a hold of your best players. Dougie is only interested in hard working players and not skill and ability.

Very annoyed by all of this and will be fuming if he is allowed to leave the club.

I think he should stay one poor season does not make pato a bad player to be honest i would be more worried if we sold antonio and lansbury between them i think they got 25 goals and 20 assists last season as it stands we can't replace that.

Once one poster let's agendas get in the way of common sense it tends to snowball. If Paterson is such a footballing godsend how come he never took men on, scored & created goals this season when required. He was utter garbage.

Its uncanny that every player when faced with the exit door is suddenly a world beater a club like Forest isn't capable of accommodating. When th real world suggests they just aren't good enough to make a difference.

Paterson didn't turn up for training first day of Pearce reign & he & Mackie were destructive when Davies left.
Why would our club be considered rotten for turning its back on a no mark like Paterson? This kid robs you of your money every other Saturday by pretending to give one.

Remind me of all those players that make a difference when they have 4 minutes of game time each week.

Did you forget the season before when he was our best player and a constant threat? Pearce and Dougie both like hard workers and don't care much for talent. They both have let's not lose attitudes and a player like Paterson doesn't fit into that.

Can he be that bad a player when a top manager like Sean Dyche wants him?

I will state the opposite, just because he is leaving doesn't make him a bad player.

Perfectly put Nffc 1. Pearce and by the looks of things Df have no idea what this lad has. A good manager will see this, use their qualities and bring back the player he was under bd.

Dyche has taken Burnley down. Pato can join him then.

Bsered.

At least Dyce has been at a Premiership club recently. How long since we were?

NFFC1: Dyche is a good manager but he ain't flawless. If he knew how Paterson was rolling these days he would stay well away. He hasn't done his homework on a player that we are in a better position to judge.

He is weak physically & mentally & your blowing smoke over a purple patch he had 2 years ago. He was destructive when we needed commitment & he has no care for you & our team. Your backing the wrong horse with Paterson. he's regressing as a player & maybe a move is the best option. let's face it he ain't fit to shine Antonio or Wards boots on that left side. If your expecting him to sine in the middle then consider his Physicality & imagine him being rag dolled by the big lads.

Its amazing how so many fans are so willing to back or slate a player after one good or bad season. Some are even now doing it with managers - calling a young up and coming manager, still learning his trade a top manager is comical. Its no surprise when fans and chairman get rushed into making rash decisions or get whipped up by the media-too many short sighted people in football looking for results within 6-9 months- nobody willing to let people have time to show what they can do and grow into what clubs like forest need and that applies to players and management.

Cjay,

Your agenda is clearly trying to out players because of their wages and so called attitude!

Welcome to the real football world of every other club.

We are where we are rewind your tape 12 months when we had the strongest squad in the League with the players you now feel have let the club down.

Then review your tactical analysis of every game you have watched and reported on and there is no rhyme nor rhythm from one game to the next to the tactics employed by a succession of managers.

No wonder the employees are a tad miffed and underperform.

No leadership from top to bottom just "Peace in our Time" and window dressing from those who control the Forest Agenda?

We would not need to sell anyone next season and just add 3 key signings to the spine of the team for any decent manager to make us competitive!

Successful clubs evolve not revolve by wholesale changes every season.
