Hobbs was actually signed by Billy Davies as part of his "unfinished business" plan to wreck our club! I do just wonder whether his brother in law was overseeing club medicals at the time?

Fryatt and Laing were only flops for Pearce and both were free transfers but think Antonio and Assombalonga were great buys and we made profit on and Vaughan and Manchienne been good servants and Chris Burke was one of our more consistent players that season too. Pearce was good for signings just not best coach, personally still think he should have been given more time. Was Wueen Billy and Freedman who signed a lot of toss.

All managers sign some flops to be fair,that Slimani at fester looks absolute garbage and he cost nearly 30 million,sometimes players just don't fit in at certain clubs but do ok elsewhere,look at garner and mcgoldrick
