I would be interested in the views of supporters if they think as I do that the current back three of Pants Fig and Fox at the back are a much better option than the previous trio of Smith Worrall and Mancienne. I think all three deserve credit for the teams recent positive upturn. I realise Colback and Watson have been influential also just in front but the way they have performed as a unit as impressed me. Hope they don't have a stinker at Norwich now. U REDS.

A thumbs up from me Retford - still a poor side in many ways but we’d have dropped ourselves in it big time on Saturday previously. Birmingham fought hard and deserved something from the game. We will take anything though as we’ve some possible nil pointers on the horizon

Only thing I would say retford and 2 star is we are still conceding and they are the same sort of goals.
Corners and free kicks around the box floated in? We ate know how at defending them even with a new keeper.
I sort of get what your saying 2 star about Birmingham possession wise,but in the final third they were poor and only created the one clear cut chance and scored,the other chance forst half was offside and although a bad miss,would have cheesed me off.
we created three and scored two hit the bar,so they deserved what they got?nothing.
Don't think you can say we are better defensively until we stop conceding

The corner that they scored from wasn’t a corner either. I thought they gave us a game TBH and felt very very relieved when the whistle blew because we looked very weak with the same old frailty on show at the end. So god we won such a big three points.

79 I agree we are still vulnerable to set pieces and crosses coming in.Having said that we conceded 13 goals in 6 games in December under MW. In the 9 league games so far under AK we have conceded 12 goals.Still too many but definitely signs of improvement.

I'd be well pleased with a draw tonight,on Worrall,I know he's Forest through and through, however he has one good game in maybe 3.Mancienne has never looked like a decent Centre Back either.
There has to be better out there.

IMO Pants is not agile enough and is very poor in the air for a 6ft 8" keeper and doesn't come for crosses, prime example when Brum scored with their header from inside the 6 yard box it looked like he had Velcro stuck to his boots , hope AK doesn't give him a contract there's got to be better keepers out there if we want push on next season , there's a reason he's 4th choice at Watford

Couldn't agree more I've said it from day one with him,same against hull saves a penalty doesn't move for the resulting corner free header and goal.
His distribution is better but he's definitely not the answer.
Our improvement has come from better defending by the midfield in Watson and colback.

I still think Worrall has a big future. People forget how young he is and how far he has come in a short sppace of time. I think him and Tobias could be awesome together given a few games to gel. 2 young centre backs could be the rock to build our team on for years to come. don't write Worrall off.

Personally hope we get Dawson. He’s got two good years left yet. If we get a good offer for Worral he goes for me. Otherwise he stays and develops with us. I do like Figueiredo and hope he stays , looks like a decent find for me. I’d try and sign Gunter back from reading - excellent right back, bags of experience. Left on going problem and can’t think what the solution is? Perhaps we have to find one from the continent ?
