Bbc site says we are after St. Mirren winger Lewis Morgan 21. Scotland U21. Can he play centre back??

1.) 16 Oct 2017 07:28:34
So with MW at the helm we only look at players in the Scottish market?
Slightly hindering us a little don't you think?

2.) 16 Oct 2017 08:17:04
Gordon Strachan hit the nail on the head. The talent pool in Scotland is not physically strong enough.

If Forest keep signing these lighweights we will be playing League 1 football next season.

3.) 16 Oct 2017 08:29:08
Redfin It is a new Manger we should be looking for not not a Scottish lightweight.

4.) 16 Oct 2017 14:21:27
There may well be one manager available in a few weeks time. Martin O'Neill is the one manager we have never had that we should have had and he showed the other night he can still get sides up for the challenges. He may well have one more job in him and if the RoI don't qualify for the World Cup he may just be available for the January transfer window.

I'm not advocating change as such but availability of alternatives may be just as important in the timing of a managerial change as results.

5.) 16 Oct 2017 20:37:46
O'Neil once stated in a tv interview that he would like to manage Forest before he hangs up his managers jacket and I hope he is true to his word
Saying this I hope that MW can find the right formula and change our fortunes but with us conceding most games and never looking like we can score a hat full I doubt it

People say you can't keep changing managers, you need to give them a chance to stamp their mark and I agree as long as the manager is the right one
Is MW the right one? I hope he is but with his dodgy selections and tactics I fear he is not

6.) 16 Oct 2017 21:52:56
Another way of looking at it is,most of the players he's inherited.
He has to sell our star striker.
He's given a budget and wage structure to work to,which looks low.
Can't see Oneil working with those restraints.
If you look at the big picture,we are signing young players for the future,
At the end of the season we will be saying goodbye to Fox Hobbs Eric Mills Vaughan Chohen Ward Carayol.
Most contracts are up.
Part of that is the reason we havn't signed defenders yet,
You can't buy a team when you already have a 25 man squad,it takes time.

7.) 17 Oct 2017 09:39:22
We should have a self imposed transfer embargo on all things Scottish.

Martin O'Neil will not come back into club management for family reasons.

Warbo is staying as the three standout candidates who would do a better job are not available to Forest.

We need to get through the season to clear out those whose contracts expire next year with the exception of Lichaj.

We need to sign/loan a couple of strong pacey midfielders, pick the best 2 central defenders for Warbo and the team to survive the season.

Other than that we are going in the right direction of travel!

8.) 17 Oct 2017 11:07:00
Couldn't agree more red, trouble is to many fickle fans who want overnight success.

9.) 17 Oct 2017 20:31:33
I do not expect overnight success but would like to see us putting more pressure on the oppositions back line.
The players he has "inherited" seem to be out of favour such as Eric mustapha and Vellios even though tgey ate proven to give us pace and power.
Instead he plays the diddy men and a striker on the wing?
He failed to bring in defensive cover but added more midfield bench warmers?
Right direction of travel????

27 Sep 2017 09:50:49
With all this negativity about Warbo and the "new regime" let's just remind ourselves of the superb work our owner has done off the pitch in such a short space of time. Mr.Marinakis has put people in to steady this great club and help it survive. The management of our team however is seperate. Yes the owner is in charge of hiring and firing but it was reported that he told Warbo he would get time. He seems a man of his word which is a rare thing these days. We don't want to rub new owners up the wrong way with negativity about the new regime.

1.) 27 Sep 2017 10:47:59
Redfin all the critiscm has been aimed at warbo. Most on here have been grafefull to the regime in general and are aware that the club is in very good and safe hands. However i have said this before thst the playing and management staff are the shop window. let's be honest warbo has had 7 months to shape thus team and it is as disjointed as ever witb warbs ignoring the obvious. Ppl who say wait till jan for more signings are naive as we all knew the defence was a priority. I would not trust him with any more money sorry but it just ain't happening and at some point the chairman not marinakis will wake up to the facts that warbs was a mistake. Not a problem we all make mistakes and its the finding out and admitting them that is the hard bit. If their was a good pattern and signs of improvement then thd transision would be bearable. It ain't and the axe maybe hovering!!!!

2.) 27 Sep 2017 11:40:42
I hope the chairman has that conversation with Warbs before chopping him rutland. If he decides to walk rather than change he is the wrong man. don't get me wrong I am not a Warbo lover but I just don't want to see half a dozen managers and staff come and go and drain money that could be spent on players disappear down the drain.

3.) 27 Sep 2017 12:38:39
Agreed redfin

4.) 27 Sep 2017 12:59:29
You make a good point Redfin but Warburton wants to play his style.
If he was told to change his style of play would he be happy and want to stay and give is his best efforts?

5.) 27 Sep 2017 14:09:38
We may find out soon reddog. The owner and chairman will not stand by while we slide down the table for much longer. Results need to change which may require a change on style or formation. We will see if he can adapt or if he will walk.

6.) 27 Sep 2017 19:59:53
The owner should have to tell him to change as that's undermining him also if a quality (not my words) manager can't see his style isn't working and do something about it then what hope is there?we don't want owners telling managers what to do!well we didn't the last 5years anyway.

7.) 27 Sep 2017 20:11:38
You keep going on Rutland about how Warburton can't do the job maybe your right maybe your wrong so who is the manager you would bring in to sort this so called mess out it would be interesting to see who you would choose.

8.) 27 Sep 2017 20:47:02
Skeggs asked the same question. I think a manager with less ego and more common sense would pick lijcha hobbs and velios. Have a skipper and a better grip of defending. I may have opinions but i cannot choose. But managers like holloway, big sam and neil warnock seem to quickly get their players playing with endeavour and look like battlers. Big big passion and where sometimes the foofball jsn't the prettiest they get at the opposition. The players under theses managers play well above their abilities. Its simple motivation.

9.) 27 Sep 2017 21:06:18
Nigel is supposed to be able to organise and motivate a team, now we have the off field set up, and in theory better players than Albion he may join us if asked.

10.) 27 Sep 2017 21:13:19
A manager without an ego?
That's called a yes man,so you'd be okay he'd listen and do everything the coach fans ask for.
Great idea let's go for

11.) 27 Sep 2017 22:05:02
I said less ego and as for holloway he has motivated average teams to the very very top. Ppl bang on about king billy, king of bs. A meglomaniac. Remember paul hart??? He knew how to harness youthfull endeavour, played a bit of footy but that was not enough for forest. He got sacked, disgracefully in my opinion.

12.) 27 Sep 2017 23:56:40
Your right about Paul Hart, our owner at the time sold our three best players,or to be correct let them run their contracts out and leave for nothing.
No investment the next summer and he got the blame,
Not just the manager when things aren't right,it's a big team effort.
The owners appoint a manager,so ultimately if you don't like the manager, then you are questioning the judgement of the owners.
If you want the owners to tell Warburton to change, then that's interference and back to fawaz ways

13.) 27 Sep 2017 23:55:07
Big Sam would be a good choice but are you not fed up with changing managers I know I am

14.) 28 Sep 2017 08:21:46
I do not want to swap managers. Consistency will work, it just takes time. Stop panicking over some poor results. MW is a pretty decent manager, and at least we are trying to play football. If you coach players to play one way and then switch and panic they will do the same lose confidence and you will lose your job. Keep a consistent approach, make slow changes, allow the squad to adapt and learn and build up confidence and then you've changed style, tactics and have not lost face or the players confidence. My only issue is that he keeps switching formation and seems to not change a couple of problem players.

15.) 29 Sep 2017 13:21:49
I'm fed up like everyone else with all the changes in management we've had. so Warbs. Please turn things around starting tomorrow, much in the fashion Fergie had to,all those years ago!!! And yes,it would be great if also if you/we could go on to enjoy some of the success he had!!! COYRS!!!

06 Jun 2017 20:06:38
A mate of mine is a chelsea supporter and he reckons he read it somewhere that 2 of their youngsters are heading to forest on loan. can't remember the names but I will work on it.

1.) 06 Jun 2017 21:11:49
Were you drunk then?

2.) 07 Jun 2017 11:20:50
Haha long name. Just saying what i heard. I have looked myself and can't find anything. But this is a rumour site bud.

3.) 07 Jun 2017 11:22:13
Probably end up with Kerry Dixon, and "Chopper" Harris! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

4.) 08 Jun 2017 16:45:01
I think Redfin has got confused with Jack Daniels and Johnnie Walker? Hic!

Would love to see a win against Direby and I think that would really show we have turned the corner. I think we will draw though. That would still be a reasonable result. don't LOSE!

22 Feb 2018 21:58:40
What do you all think of the team on forest 24/7? Pants in goal. Back 5 of Darikwa, Worrall, Fox, Tobias, and Fuentes. Midfield Watson and Bridcutt and attacking 3 of Cash Tomlin and Mckay. Anyone think that would work?

1.) 23 Feb 2018 06:52:31
I think, they do a great job, providing us with up to the minute news on our beloved club!!! 😜😜😜

2.) 23 Feb 2018 11:53:14
Redfin this is just what they did in the second half whichbis an extension of my suggestion in my recent email.

AK, let's do this from the start against QPR and press upfield from the kick off.

3.) 23 Feb 2018 12:46:52
Should be easy win tmoz I mean if the bread man and his team can beat them 4-0 easier for the β˜οΈπŸ˜€

4.) 23 Feb 2018 13:17:50
Holloway has likened AK to Mourinino in his want to be defensive, so no easy game.

Qpr are at home, so they should be tougher to be than at The City Ground.

It has been suggested AK will make changes as Qpr are a more physical side.

2-1 either way for me.

5.) 23 Feb 2018 13:28:16
Easy game for us stop with your excuses rob the no good bread man got his dismantled team to win easy 4-0 the least we should expect is 1-0 I’m sure the☝️Can manage that

6.) 23 Feb 2018 14:21:27
Come on Skegsjay it would be great if we won, in your posts you say we should win 3~0 I hope so. You hope your on safe ground in your posts , hope you go to QPR and give your full support no matter what.Remember Gary Brazil took over from the Frenchman before MW came, did you want Gary to run things and not bring in MW.Now MW has gone and Gary took over before AK and now you want Gary to run things, or have I got it wrong, again.

7.) 23 Feb 2018 14:27:17
2-1 is equivalent to 1-0?

8.) 23 Feb 2018 14:56:37
Id be happy with the win,in any shape or form!!! COYRS!!!

9.) 23 Feb 2018 15:04:40
rogie, so would i. Start getting the wins first, then try to start winning well.

10.) 23 Feb 2018 15:10:58
Have you been reading up on my past posts 1951 lol all I would like to see is a win 1951 and with all the hype of the ☝️I would expect nothing less this weekend and I did say that Brazil did do a good job with the youngsters and should of stayed in the post until the end of the season and I still stand by that as I’ve seen nothing from ☝️To change my mind yet but lm praying πŸ™ for a win tomorrow we need it to keep out of the πŸ’©

20 Feb 2018 20:28:42
Oh dear. 1 down. Given our lack of goals we could be sucked further into the dogfight. Hope we can find a spark from somewhere.

29 Jan 2018 09:46:00
February is going to be massive for us. We have mid and lower league teams and need to wrack up some points to push toward safety. Its a worry to get beat by a poor Hull side. AK needs to make sure their heads are right for these huge games.

17 Jan 2018 15:42:51
I know its unfair on AK so early but I really want to pick up a paper and see we have signed a player that makes me think. . really? Wow he is a good player. Nice one. .not. . who?. . I just want that exited feeling again.

1.) 17 Jan 2018 15:53:46
Know that feeling redfin ulloa from the bin raiders would be a good start 😁

2.) 17 Jan 2018 16:20:54
Wud be nice wudnt it mate. Somebody to go wow yes he'll be a like steam rolling tank in the middle of the park or a defender you know puts a brick wall in front of him. I just hope Karanka and his hit men have the influence to persuade some quality additions to join the mighty reds ranks in the next couple of windows or so.

3.) 17 Jan 2018 16:22:25
Ariyibi coming back from MK Dons i can't remember if he is just a midfielder or CD or whatever may be AK sees something in him that might strengthen the midfield!! βš“

4.) 17 Jan 2018 17:16:02
In a word PACE ,badly needed!

5.) 17 Jan 2018 17:53:51
If we signed a great player the next days headline would be were back in ffp players with a wow factor come at a price were meant to be steading the ship financially I'm sure were still in a mess 5 years of complete mismanagement can't be fixed in such a short space of time we just need patience yes it's bit easy but the only way forward and the good times will come back in sure

6.) 17 Jan 2018 18:43:00
Ulloa going to Villa according to reports.

I disagree. I think he has quality. Good feet, clever football brain. He just lacks a bit of pace but that never stopped Sherringham.

Nffc 99 He sounds ok but Farke came from Dortmund with a good CV and not been too good. Glad to see Norwich giving him time though. Tuchel is young which I like. Maybe the one mate. Stoke are on the edge and I think a few of these names are waiting to see what happens there.

Tomlin is class when his head is right. He clearly loves playing for AK. Maybe if Warnock wants to keep Traore a deal can be done.

I still think Worrall has a big future. People forget how young he is and how far he has come in a short sppace of time. I think him and Tobias could be awesome together given a few games to gel. 2 young centre backs could be the rock to build our team on for years to come. don't write Worrall off.
