Well I did say no thanks too Colback recently purely for the fact of going back a second time can turn out not as good as our record has shown us as well as many other clubs. But he did extremely well for us and if he produces that again I'll be happy. Welcome back jack.

God help us if you think this money grabbing card collector is a great signing. He's sat on his backside for a year because he preferred his high warnings to playing football. Who else thought he is a good signing. Not one other clubb wanted him even on a free that says everything to me. I really can't see what he brings that people rate so highly.

Redtree i think you will find that bruce blocked a move back to forest for Jack then decided not to give him a squad number. Nowt to do with injury.
Syred has a point though. Watson offered us more in that position. But colback is a good addition in my humble opinion.

Ok signing providing we aren't paying silly wages, 22 yellow cards in 55 appearance's which means he misses around 15% of games through suspension, he also hasn't played competitive football since April 2019 so has had 17 months off by the time the new season kick's off, he's not the playmaking midfielder that we are desperate for but maybe the DOF has a plan?

With Sow and Colback we will have two midfield "stoppers", both can break up play well. If Yates is used as a box to box man we only need a creative genius and the midfield is complete, though Sow and Colback may be used alternately in their position.
I still don't see where we will get someone who can really create play and score goals, maybe to replace or sub Silva.

he isn't a playmaker, but a holding spoiler that breaks up the opposition attack. Very calm under pressure and can tackle. not always fairly as the stats back up, but also very gobby which probably again reflects in his stats.

I've already made my feelings clear about Colback and I appreciate that we haven't paid Newcastle a fee. However I'd also hate to think we were wasting £30kplus a week on another ball shuffler in front of the back 4 instead of somebody creative. that's going to make a big dent in the budget.
