As I've said before, Mr maranakis would you please come out and back karanka. I don't want any change now it's too late. back the manager, let him do his deals in January and let the fans know where they stand.

1.) 04 Jan 2019 10:22:11
Absolutely pointless in Maranakis publicly backing Krankie. It usually only means 'the manager will be sacked after the next loss'.

2.) 04 Jan 2019 12:56:12
I think theirs more to it. Our owner is determined to get rid of karanka. But his hands are currently tied because karanka as the backing of players and supporters.
But will this mean karanka isn't allowed to improve squad or even as a player like lolley sold against his wishes.
Sure we will find out either way within next week.

3.) 04 Jan 2019 13:11:03
What makes you think our owner is determind to get rid of Karanka? Surely if he was that determind he would be gone already?

4.) 04 Jan 2019 14:16:30
Red. If the owner wants rid of AK, he won't give a toss whether the players or the fans want him to stay.
He will just get rid.

5.) 04 Jan 2019 15:47:23
He would have got rid of him if he wanted to.

6.) 04 Jan 2019 17:23:04
Red. Please explain?

7.) 04 Jan 2019 20:28:44
I think some fans are still apprehensive due to the Fawaz era.
I believe AK was ready for the sack but I also believe Maranakis has backed off and is giving him time to push on after our support and the performance against the dirty.
Let's hope AK keeps the run going and make it impossible to sack him but our owner is very ambitious which we should be grateful of. . I think.
I just hope he isn't waiting for another loss to pull the trigger as that would be harsh especially if he included Chelsea

8.) 04 Jan 2019 22:42:24
Fa was bank balance. Just a feeling.
Due to all new appointments like DOF.
Possibly a new sporting director who happened to be a manager. The owners continued silence
And a week into January and their doesn't seem to be concrete rumours of new signings. When karanka had said he knew the 3/4 players he would like.

9.) 04 Jan 2019 22:57:24
It's a power struggle between marinakis and karanka, only one winner unless karanka backs down🤔🤔
Let's hope common sense prevails and we move on united, otherwise he'll be replaced

10.) 04 Jan 2019 23:54:17
The owner needs to realise that unlike the Greek league you can’t change managers 2-3 times a season and still win the league.last seasons teams all went with managers that had a full season,Warnock October the previous season,Fulham’s was there 2 1/2 seasons and wolves manager started end of May.

11.) 05 Jan 2019 23:29:53
Why would any serious owner feed fans insecurities by popping his head up above the parapet and making comment?
Just buy a ticket and be thankful you have a board and management team that actually know what they are doing?
I wonder which of the infamous 4 are going to bite first? 🐬🐬

02 Jan 2019 21:47:50
Jose anigo sporting director is he New manager awaiting in the wings.

1.) 02 Jan 2019 22:57:29
Stella for a year on me Skegs if that one turns out to be true.

2.) 02 Jan 2019 23:40:56
Thanks that will do me strange timing though.

3.) 03 Jan 2019 00:34:50
Not the best reviews from French fans.

4.) 03 Jan 2019 13:42:11
Skegsjay, if that happens can you see a load of French players joining us.?

5.) 03 Jan 2019 14:39:52
They aren't talking about him being the new manager, just the sporting director.

6.) 03 Jan 2019 15:05:47
799, If read Skegsjays post again you will notice he asks, even though it could be in jest could end up replacing our current manager.

7.) 03 Jan 2019 15:10:22
Perhaps he's getting a foot in the managerial door?

8.) 03 Jan 2019 17:28:38
One word 'WHY'

28 Dec 2018 00:28:14
Panic stations lol here it is forest lose at Millwall karanka is gone there's only one place this owner wants us to be and that's in the premiership that's why he bought karanka in to do a job exactly what the fans wanted nothing more nothing less I'm not keen on karanka as everyone knows but if he was doing his job I would back him he's been given the tools to do the job more than any other manager at forest and he is lacking to me I don't want to change yet another manager but as far as I'm concerned he's had a fair chance and in this owner I trust to make a 100 percent decision on what who or we need to take us back to the premiership so it's as simple as that.

1.) 28 Dec 2018 05:01:05
Good concise post skeg. 👍

2.) 28 Dec 2018 07:20:23
If that's true then it's very likely going to be adios.
Our record at the Den stinks.
We're probably going to need to be 3 goals up again to get a result cus as soon as Millwall get desperate and bring Morrison on then the aerial bombardment begins and we're done for.
We couldn't defend a 2 goal lead in the home fixture.

3.) 28 Dec 2018 08:34:05
In his interview after norwich he claimed not to care if they sack him. He said he has credentials for promotion and ut took 2 and a half years at boro to acheive. He keeos banging on about time as look at how good norwich are after bejng together for a year and a half. He said the same about Derby. Time is a commodity not afforded these days so when interviewed for the job and he saud I need 2 and a half years he would not have been appointed. Either that ir the goal posts have been moved or someone is lying. He should care aboit being sacked from the most beautiful club on this planet. Its not just a job where you get compo for failing. This typifies his pigheadedness, doing things his way or no way. Sticking with clowns and 3 amigo's.
We are on the brink of losing yet another manager or him changing and becoming a legend. He cannkt change his attitude or style so be prepared. Its his call but really like he says " i just don't care "

4.) 28 Dec 2018 08:44:10
I think you’ve said exactly what the majority are thinking skeggy-the owner wants the premiership, most fans want the same but I’m sad to say I just can’t see AK delivering. We do have some talent in the squad and we all know that we could do with a bit extra in places but you just need to make sure every player knows his role,is committed and play the game to your strengths. IMO AK is too stubborn and I don’t care how many years management experience or how many badges anyone has got some of his tactics and decisions would never have gained success or given the feeling of moving forward. I can’t break down an opposing teams tactics, tell pro players how to close a game down or how to or pick out every teams weak point but I’m a just a pint and a pie supporter, the manager should be doing that, and he isn’t doing it. The fans support has been fantastic this season (albeit with some help from the big man with a smart pricing structure) the backing from the owner seems to be great (we’ll never know exactly what’s going on behind the scenes) but we still crave for consistency and leadership. Fingers crossed for 2019 but my gut feeling says we won’t have the same manager for much of it.
Best wishes to everyone for the new year and here’s hoping for some great football and plenty to cheer about in 2019 👍

5.) 28 Dec 2018 09:01:26
Well put 2tone. It really is as simple as that.

6.) 28 Dec 2018 09:12:05
Nicely put 2tone.👍

7.) 28 Dec 2018 15:08:49
Maranakis then is the problem, you need at least two seasons to get out of this league, and lots who have gone up find themselves without the players to stay up. AK needs to left alone to get on with the job otherwise yet another trigger-happy owner will spoil our chances, and the silly merry-go-round will continue. We need to support the Team and AK, changing managers might win a few games, but the problems will still persist.

8.) 28 Dec 2018 16:00:51
Forest will win at Millwall. That's as concise as it gets!

Onward & Upward

9.) 28 Dec 2018 16:05:37
Its a fair point besred but whst if you have the wrong manager.

10.) 29 Dec 2018 15:54:14
No you don’t bsered, you need a squad full of pace and power, youth blended with experience and a gung ho attitude like Wolves and Fulham last year, Leeds and Norwich this.

Create chances and score goals. I’m fed up with 4 2 3 1, it’s like watching paint dry.

10 Nov 2018 21:51:12
Whatever happens top 8 come Xmas will be a good thing players will want to come to us and marankis will want to invest so so far so good we need another goal scorer no doubt about that we lose grabban we might as well give the rest of the season up I will also expect an attacking midfielder coming in so fingers crossed top 8 xmas.

1.) 10 Nov 2018 22:07:30
Skegs I think we have enough backup for Grabban with Murphy and Ansarifard. I would like to see cover at LB though to keep Robinson on his toes.

2.) 10 Nov 2018 22:23:40
After disagree sgetty goal scorers win you leagues and midfielders under karanka win you games defence is fine at the minute.

3.) 10 Nov 2018 22:42:02
We do need a left back. Osborn isn’t good enough cover and Robinson can only do so much. We don’t need more players in other areas. We are just short on left backs.

4.) 10 Nov 2018 23:20:38
If Robinson got injured who would you put at left back?

5.) 11 Nov 2018 00:46:28
Why would we need another goal scorer we only play 1 up front n don’t even bother to bring the one off the bench

6.) 11 Nov 2018 04:33:59
Agree 100% with the left back I like Robinson but he needs back up I'm not convinced by pants either so we should look a keepers aswell

7.) 11 Nov 2018 09:53:17
We have kept 3 clean sheets in the last 5 games. We need a settled squad to get promoted guys. One or two additions will suffice. Move on a couple of midfielders. Although he is decent, we just don't need Watson or Tachsidis evidently.

8.) 11 Nov 2018 09:56:52
And why don't we see how Nana-siferard settles before writing off our strikers lol

The other thing I'd say is, if we are top 2 then we might be able to attract genuine top players. I mean big stars. That would change the situation in January I reckon

9.) 11 Nov 2018 18:05:01
Yes I’m a bit worried she’ll find the stairs a challenge but she should be given a chance for sure.

10.) 11 Nov 2018 18:46:04
The clean sheets are coming because Dawson is in the side and captain.

11.) 12 Nov 2018 07:07:33
2star - 🤣 quality

12.) 12 Nov 2018 08:44:39
I agree. We look so much more solid with Dawson.

13.) 12 Nov 2018 12:04:56
Osborne is a left-back. We just play him in midfield. He is perfect cover for Robinson.

14.) 12 Nov 2018 12:05:42
Or is it Nanas-sh1tsarehard?

15.) 12 Nov 2018 22:02:26
Nice one red cyclist ! 😂.

05 Sep 2018 21:22:32
Well that's byram gone back shame he looked a good prospect.

Is everything OK Sutton and rie your both very quite today 😆.

1.) 14 Jan 2019 17:35:05
Smacks of a Fawaz stunt. I'll reserve judgement until the end of Jan. We'll know more about hs ideas and funds available then. I wish Martin and his backroom staff all the best, he'll need some Irish luck on Sat anyway. My Villa mate says get used to route one football? It is, what it is. COYR.

2.) 14 Jan 2019 17:39:00
Skeg they are mourning the departed one.
Amazing how individuals disappear at times 😂😂😂

3.) 14 Jan 2019 17:52:53
Sutton is busy doing his research and then he'll tell us what we already know, barring the made up bits.
Rie is busy dying his lucky ŕed pants to yellow,so he can go and watch his new team harrogate.
Maybe krankie might get one last chance of managing😁😁😁

4.) 14 Jan 2019 18:08:01
Scouse, behave there will only ever be one fawaz the owner, dof, chairman, bookkeeper🤣🤣 and fridge magnet all in one.🤔

5.) 14 Jan 2019 18:26:10
There’s no surprise it’s O’Neill, I wish him all the best and he gets the full support of all the fans, reading a lot of posts it doesn’t seem that popular but we are quite a negative bunch, but for good reason as the last twenty years haven’t been that great. I’m sure it won’t be long before some moans and wants him sacked. But you never know this could be the☝️ If not we could always go for Nigel, it keeps the boys upstairs happy 💰

6.) 14 Jan 2019 18:44:51
By the boys upstairs?I take it your referring to Clark and McGovern.

7.) 14 Jan 2019 18:46:09
Hope the red and yellow Don,t run and turn into a sh--- Brown ,that,s not a good look !

8.) 14 Jan 2019 19:01:27
No names mentioned, it’s all for the good of the club.
I really hope it works, this time 🙏🏻

9.) 14 Jan 2019 18:59:25
Well his eyes haven't stopped running since karanka walked and he's certainly been writing some. 😁😁😁

12 Jan 2019 21:48:10
Money being lumped on Niger tonight.

1.) 12 Jan 2019 22:24:53

2.) 12 Jan 2019 22:59:35
No way Nigel will ever take over in the current set-up. It's a poisoned Chalice for all managers.

3.) 12 Jan 2019 23:23:56
I wouldn't mind some being lumped on me, think I could handle it. 😀😀😀

4.) 13 Jan 2019 05:50:44
every time we need a manger , cloughs name comes up. he ain't good enough.forest need a good manager who will get rid of the players around 7 of them who are only good enough for league 1 football. clough needs to stay were he is

5.) 13 Jan 2019 06:01:19
well cloughie could buy some of the players (for burton)that aren't willing to play for the badge and our wonderful fans lol.

6.) 13 Jan 2019 07:08:15
Cloughie would fit into the regime of Nottingham Forest, the old boys can remain on the payroll, whether he’s up to it is a different story, 💰💰💰 maybe just maybe.

11 Jan 2019 21:49:31
As Freddie said, the show must go on. sheep lost great result hopefully a attacking formation tomorrow cause that's what this team is might bring the best out of carvahllo as well 4 nil tomorrow onwards and upwards 😆.

1.) 11 Jan 2019 22:04:58
Don't hold your breath.😐

2.) 11 Jan 2019 22:07:01
Would love too see 433

3.) 11 Jan 2019 23:03:07
With you on that one Skegs!! As Freddie said, We will rock you, and with all our attacking options,we will go for it and Rock em for sure!!

11 Jan 2019 08:45:35
Gone off is own back strange one.

{Ed001's Note - he did the same at Boro before being convinced to return. It seems to be something he does every time he wants something or falls out with someone. I think he has made a mistake this time as Marinakis is not Steve Gibson and won't chase after him to get him back.}

1.) 11 Jan 2019 08:53:19
Things have been off since ipswich game, think arguing with certain players an a disagreement with owner over director of football but what makes me laugh is why he didn’t walk after the Leeds game why go this morning, seems like he’s shoved us cus he’s not been treated like a messiah an given everything he wants, my personal opinion is he had everything he needed to make up competitive an he’s come up short, not massively but still.

2.) 11 Jan 2019 08:57:31
And so we start yet again

3.) 11 Jan 2019 09:15:24
Doesnt bother me ed never rated the man and i believe this owner will do whatever it takes to get us back into the premier league so i'm a 100 percent behind him

{Ed001's Note - I would never have guessed you didn't rate him...}

02 Jan 2019 10:44:46
Come on let's get this manager thing out of the way so we can concentrate on the league and so we can get the players in we need through January Dowell to the blades good signing for them we need to be on the ball and getting our business done early.

1.) 02 Jan 2019 13:23:18
Skeg I agree.
A new year and a positive start.
One stumbling block to be questioned though.
Will marinakis trust him to spend more or will loan signings be a requirement?

2.) 02 Jan 2019 13:28:03
Who do you suggest Skegs, there don't seem to be a lot about?

3.) 02 Jan 2019 14:12:38
Well I never would of thought I would say this but I actually did see some passion coming from karanka yesterday so I'm swaying on him
staying I remember a lot of good managers nearly getting the boot and then becoming some of the best managers about so for me I would give him a crack

4.) 02 Jan 2019 14:24:21
He even had a beaming smile when it sunk in we had won.

I want to see that smile more, much more.

5.) 02 Jan 2019 14:25:56
Fair play Skeggsy, he does my head in at times too.
Reading and Bristol City are winnable, not too fussed about the cup to be honest.
The league's where it's at!

A lot better than what we have Rutland at least he's a defender doing a defending job .not a midfielder or a winger as used over the past 12 months .hey we might even have a manager doing a managers job now as well what do you think Sutton 😆😆

That seems to suit the krankie fans when you say he was given 2 years to sort the team out if I remember right the last 10 managers were given the same with a lot less money that's life and business get over it

I love Dougie freedman as much as I loved krankie but not nearly as much as I would want them ever to come back so yes was sensitive lc but as you say and as I said to you ancient history onwards and upwards with a decent manager 😆
