Are Hennessey, Felipe, Boly AND Niakhate all out injured? Surely they can't all be out?

If they are not going to be fit at the start of the season, it's likely to be carnage. McKenna and Worrall are decent but worrying form.

Didn't see the game, but if the defence/ GK were that bad, then experienced defenders are vital.

Maybe they aren't injured, but WTF is going on if they aren't? We already went the whole of last season without Biancone and Richards and most of it without Niakhate? Surreal!

Niakhate out for a couple of months is the news I heard after dislocating his elbow playing at left wing back against Valencia.
Why was he even playing in that position is anyone's guess.
With his long throws being one of the few times we ever look like scoring makes it a double blow.
Worrall can just about get away with it being in a 3 with Felipe and Boly or Niakhate but him and McKenna in a back 4 are an accident waiting to happen in the prem.
In all honesty Worrall has looked liked someone plucked from the crowd to make the numbers up during pre-season.

That's the difference for me, your concern about the club from an injury point of view and rightly being worried about it
Whereas balloons skeggs and fawaz just try to spread their poison of Cooper and the players
I for one will enjoy the season and not concerned about anything other than injury and the fact we need a keeper of quality
Ptch has been dug up and replaced at huge cost, so hopefully less damage injury wise.

DTP I accept Steve is rotating the squad and looking at options, but pre season is all about building for the 1st league game, at last night’s stage we are just over a week away from kick off, even in a friendly, which I normally totally ignore, 0-5 is a worrying outcome at this stage of build up, on top of the fact we don’t look like scoring, it seems that away from the wfcg, we can’t play, the injury situation is frustrating, Awonyi and niakhate appear to be made of glass, some of the talk of Steve being sacked is ludicrous, the man has worked a modern miracle for us, but I get peoples concern, anyway I’m hoping there are 3 teams we can finish above, because despite what some might think, this 2nd season was always all about that, and an improvement away from home is essential, not least for the people that pay their hard earned to go and watch. Anyway realistically we have about as tougher start as is possible to get, let’s hope if we are bottom after 6 games, which is entirely possible, people are sensible, I’m hopeful we can still get a couple in, and am looking forward to a great season of football in the best most unforgiving league in the world, here’s hoping, Bowie, balloons, thanks for the welcome back, hope your both well,

First six games, we have to get six points anything we can scrape from Chelsea, man City, man urd and Arsenal will be a bonus
Like you worried about the injury status and goalkeeper, but it looks a difficult window to get signings done especially at the right price
Be interesting who starts against frankfurt and then Arsenal
Think a few of the older players will be there for the opener.

DTP hi mate, I’d like to think Awonyi, and johnno are being wrapped in cotton wool for the 1st game, Awonyi is critical up front for us, Felipe a massive miss, don’t think they would have put 5 past us with him involved, the keeper situation is serious now, Horvath never looked good enough,

Sorry guys, I don't think anyone answered my main question. Are all three of Niakhate, Felipe AND Boly out injured?

I know there is a lot of "debate" about Cooper doing pre-season wrong, but how can players build up to fitness at the start of the season if they aren't able to play? If they are all injured, then we have good reason to worry about starting the season without enough fit players. Biancone won't be fully sharp for ages, so he isn't the answer yet.

Definitely agree that some of the hysterics are over the top. But there are real worries regarding fitness and players waiting to leave (fake injuries) not playing.

All we do know is niakhate is a bad one that will keep him out for 8 to 10 games and I believe Johnson will be out for a few weeks yet
Think boly is being kept ready for the season and believe philpe will be ready, some players can just come straight in when they're experienced
Cooper will put put his preffered midfield on Saturday of Yates, mangala and danillo with MGW pulling the strings and elanga taking Johnson Place and probably wood up front as it's not looking like awomyi is carrying a niggle
Once United complete the deal with atalanta then expect Dennis and possibly frueler to go there
Henderson deal looks like it go through in next few days
We will soon see who's fit, who's going and who's coming in regardless of what the daily mail are saying.

Yep, bang on Ed. Gullit in his prime was great fun to watch. Not as good as Maradonna, Messi etc really but at least as entertaining. It is a crime that that Dutch team didn't win anything. Amazing to watch, and they would rather let the Germans win the comp than compromise on making football good to watch.

DTP, not sure how the ins and outs will go, but if Hendo isn't back in full training, I'd tell United they can wait until January and get another keeper in now. We got stung once too often last season to risk him breaking down again, surely?

{Ed001's Note - Seedorf was incredible as well, but my fave was Davids. Loved him. Pitbull on and off the pitch! He came back one day to find a group of lads vandalising his Ferrari while in Milan and just battered them. He played like that as well, but with skill and touch too.}
