Birmingham mail saying Forest are possible suitors for Chris Burke? Anyone got any news about this?

1.) You're a year late

2.) No chance and we don't need him with Reid, Abdoun, Paterson and Mackie.

Bad journalism that's all.

Todays paper talk mentions Derbyshire maybe a free transfer to Doncaster and also Middlesbrough interested in Danny Graham on loan.
Personally, I think Graham would do a great job for us, specially on an initial loan with a view to buy if we go up.

1.) I am not so bothered re Rhodes and the big money as I think it is unrealistic.

But if we are serious we should get Graham fast. Act decisive and get to done for once.

2.) Totally agree! Don't get me wrong, Rhodes has to be one of the best strikers outside the prem, but the money they want is ridiculous. I mean, I wouldn't of paid the price Blackburn did anyway. Someone of Grahams ability has to be the kind of player we need and would cost half the money easy!

3.) Isn't he on loan at hull for the season?

4.) Graham has a drink problem so no thanks! Spent a lot of time out at swansea because of it. Been out with him up in Newcastle, drinks like a fish!

5.) Looking at his recent stats he has a goal scoring problem as well, we can do better than him.

6.) Doesn't make him a bad player, Best? Gascoigne? Merson? Me?

{Ed034's Note - lol

7.) Would be a good option. Decent goal scorer when with Watford in the championship. Loan would be sensible.

Not a rumour, but as I was admiring the new away kit (which reminds me of an old school away kit), there is no sponsor? Was Fawaz's sponsorship a year contract and if so, do we have any idea what the new sponsor maybe?

geeboy

{Ed034's Note - it was a year contract and if he cannot find someone who will match his sum, he'll do it again

1.) Ed. Do you think the lack of a sponsor is linked to us having no CEO? Would that be part of the job, lining up potential companies?

{Ed034's Note - no

2.) I remember fondly all the sponsor speculation last close-season. It was a one year deal because if we made the prem then we would be more appealing to some of the big middle east companies.

Ok not a rumour, but thought we could all do with a brake from Hobbs and Djebbour. Just read from paper talk that Ryan Betrand has said he would welcome a permanent switch to Aston Villa. Now I know he wouldn't my in this transfer, but when we're in the prem next season he would be an awesome signing :)

1.) When?

Do you mean if?

This was a topic talked about with Paul Taylor online. He seems to think we are a little behind with the requirements needed. As the previous post says, the investment alone is substantial and then we still need more staff aswell. But Faulkner is impressed with the training facilities, and makes you think when we get promoted, he would see if financially, can be done. From what I read about our training facilities, does it matter, as it sounds like to be the best grade 2 anyway. And football people know we have some of the best youth coaches

He only signed for them in January for €2m. So unless he's had a big fallout or they want rid, I can't see us getting him for that amount of money. Does anyone know if this lad is decent? I know his wpedia page says he scores, but is he a good player?

You also have Reidy, Mclaughlin and Osborn that can even play wide. Very impressed with how the team is starting to look

I wouldn't say we're that clear of no bid, as they need a back up keeper after losing Fabiaski (spelling most likely wrong) and Mannone (again, prob spelt wrong). With his huge potential he has, you still can't rule out a bid from them.
