Andreas Bouchalakis is signing for us on loan today from olympiacos.

Anyone want to guess when his medical was? 👀.

Greek reporter Antonis Oikonomidis‏ has confirmed the loan deal on the bird site.

He's not good enough to hold down a place at Olympiakos and he's uncapped, so it doesn't look a great signing at first glance.

Considering we've had a Greek International (Vellios) and Olmypiakos regulars (Abdoun, Djebbour, Kasami) already in the Forest side and they hardly pulled up any trees. In fact, some might say a few of those have been our worst signings in recent years.

Personally, I'm not expecting fireworks with this signing. Hope I'm wrong.

For a 24 year old, he hasn't really played much football, doesn't look like a great signing to me. I wonder if MW had a say in this, I suspect not. I hope we're not considered Olympiacos B side.

I would think MW had no say in the matter. He was only after quality signings. This lad from Olympiacos is not quality.

Maybe they're just swapping him with Vellios?

I would prefer Vellious, but MW does not rate him.

Lets see how it turns out. On paper its not good but give the lad a chance. MB won't play him if he ain't up to it. The olympiacos fans need to see a 2 way thing going on as Marinakis has had stick from them as they think he will only bother with forest now. He has to show we can help them too. Hence a loan for a fringe player.

My understanding is he's coming to train for a few days so warbo can do some due diligence before any deal is finalised.

He can't be that bad played champion, s league let's at least give the lad a chance you never no could be a ruff diamond only time will tell if he's as crap as kasami fair enough he'll be going back can't say its a waste of money because our chairman owns both clubs.

I might not be right completely but from what I have been told by a friend (who has another friend who is Olympicos fan), the lad back in 2013 was one of highest rated midfielders in Greece and called up to national team, however after signing for Olympiacos he got a bad injury and has had a run of bad injuries over the last two seasons, he seemed to recover towards the end of last season and signed a long term contract as if he can regain fitness he is highly rated.
I think they know he needs minutes on the pitch and feel he will potentially get more at the City Ground. He looked sharp at the end of last season scoring a few goals so hopefully he could be useful then again we could be signing a complete crock who will spend all season in the sick bed!
