Mackie season loan completed. let's hope he can help reading take some points of the competition along the way. Good luck Jamie.

Great work rate but the problem is finishing. The fans have been shouting about getting in finishers so Mackie has to make way. Top player though, I think we all wish him luck.
Bring on tomorrow, the growing should be buzzing
3.) I think Reading have a very strong side. With McCleary, Gunter, Cox and now Mackie. If they get Ferdinand on top of their existing players could be a real threat to us.
4.) Hope we've got a call back on mackie if we need him. Also agree with above poster we've helped reading become contenders.
Cox mackie will probably start scoring like other forwards that have left us.

So Brit for £5m, Antonio for about £2. KD and JL for about £7m. it all makes sense and we still have the two youngsters for the season! I say well played Fawaz! COYR!!

Hi Ed, The problem we have as a club I believe is that clubs see us as uber rich and demand more money from us. As a whole the business Fawaz has done since he came in has been pretty good but sometimes you have to pay a bit more if you feel the player is worth it. I haven't seen much orf Antonio but I have noticed only good reports when his name is mentioned. Maybe the money will be paid in installments over a number of months which would make it less of an issue. The end goal is the Premier League and that is what matters. KD and JL will be has hungry on Saturday as the were last Saturday without a doubt otherwise they will not play and nobody wants to sit on the bench. Just look at Mackie and Cox. COYR

2.) Where would this leave liegterwood
3.) Just need one more quality midfielder afast winger and our injured to be fit and I reckon we have lift off. a bit more work to do yet but I feel we re nearly there. SP doing a great job and our club seems to have got got it's direction back what a difference!

Who is Des Walkers son? Does he not have a name? If I was him and read this I'd be annoyed people keep referring to me as Des Walkers son!

I agree with Ed, although there has been a comedy of errors in terms of eye tests and managers you have to give some credit to what Fawaz has done to upgrade our club and ensure it's survival. Some people have very short memories. He obviously means well and like the man himself said, he has to make difficult and unpopular decisions along the line to make sure the club balances the books. I don't need to tell any football fan how football has changed. It is a businessnow and iI believe that we have an owner who is conscious of the ffp rules and is not willing to compromise our future and for that I am grateful. Just a thought bit you could always go and support Leeds ,
