Attention all the Nuno bashers on here!

Give the man a chance given that he lost 6 players to ACON had had to trim a bloated squad deal with injuries to key players, I think he has done an excellent job!

When Boly Aina and Sangare are back firing and now Awoniyi is fit and we have a choice in most positions again

Then we can judge him

We will beat Newcastle on Saturday with this team formation and game plan

Sels

Williams
Obadembele
Murrilo
Tavares

Yates
Dominguez

Elanga
MGW
Danilo

Awoniyi

Subs Turner Reyna Riberio Origi Toffelo Niakhate Felipe Hudson Odoi.

Good side munmad that is capable of a good performance
We need something out of the game
It's not nuno bashing, it's just stating he could of changed tactics
But didnt.

Munmad I'm hoping he does change our fortunes. I don't dislike the guy at all.

Good post Munmad. He’s had all the problems SC had plus AFCON plus FFP threat. He’s doing ok in the circumstances I think.

Probably a nice man, but his tactics last game were inept- if there were even any tactics at all. That’s not disloyalty or disrespect to Nuno-it’s a truthful observation. Call me a hater or as Skegs keeps saying a “moaner”, but that’s what I believe. He wouldn’t have been my choice for the job and to be honest I was shocked when he was appointed. Time will tell, I will continue to support. But I’m not keeping quiet- that performance against Bristol City was turgid.

No, we can judge him. We have been playing lower division teams. Our lowest paid players are on more than half their squad, so a few players missing shouldn't matter. RUBBISH!

It can take a while for a coach to get his ideas across and Forest havent' had much time on the training ground since he came in. They've had a torrid January with replays and injuries, they didn't even get their January break like other clubs, that would've been time together as a group and for Nuno to further get his message across. The whole of January has been pretty much match-to-match, purely game preparation and with many players out injured or at AFCON.

As I said on the other thread, I'm yet to be impressed by Nuno but he does need that time to work with the players before we can really see what he's all about.

Bit of trivia really, Nuno was signed by Mourinho as gk in 2002 and he took penalties.! I am still trying to find a connection to the thread here with this. Surely Stokey can find one?

No idea Norfolk mate. I knew he took penalties as a goalkeeper but I don't know the connection ( unless he gave Turner a few tips in the penalty shoot out v Bristol City the other night? )

Nuno bashers?

Not sure where that comes from, no difference to when others kept giving it the big un about cooper being useless

Will I support him? Definitely. would I have rather kept cooper and not lost most of our home atmosphere. Definitely.

Unless it’s because Nuno was Morinho s disciple at Porto and adapted his defensive strategy ( the low block sometimes mentioned on here? ) ?.

I've been delving again and found that Nuno was born on a tiny island Sao Tome in the Atlantic translated as St Thomas. Yes, you've guessed it - that is 'Doubting Thomas', one of the apostles! Now creative people on here surely can't resist using this?.

(That's it folks for tonight's trivia. Lasagna and a light green salad calling)

Balloons, mate, not Wordsworth but Albert Camus, the famous French existentialist philosopher, author and Nobel Prize Winner was a goalkeeper for his University of Algeria team and good enough to be in the Algerian National squad. He supported Racing Club de Paris. Unfortunately his career was cut short when he contracted TB. Born 1913 died 1960. He famously said “ Everything I know about Morality and Obligations I owe entirely to football “!
