Lars Veldwijk ‏@VeldwijkLars 2h2 hours ago

Hello everyone. I am happy to say I will be staying at Nottingham Forest 👍👍😀 #NFFC

Not sure if that's his official twitter account but he has just tweeted that.

has all his other tweets on it from excelsior and from when he joined forest. Also has some Dutch on there.

You tell me.

1.) 03 Jun 2016 14:09:50
We must have a manager then, how else can he say that?

2.) 03 Jun 2016 14:17:02
Well we do need a couple of strikers could he form a decent partnership with Britt?

3.) 03 Jun 2016 14:23:35
It's a confirmed fake account.

4.) 03 Jun 2016 14:32:25
However i would love to see him stay for a season. He did originally retweet an interview (when he moved on loan beginning of last season) saying that he would never play for Forest again, as long as Dougie was in charge. Now he is not in charge he may favor a stay?

5.) 03 Jun 2016 14:32:46
14 goals in 35 games not sure how many full matches that he played but not bad for dutch premier league but I think we still need another forward as well.

6.) 03 Jun 2016 15:25:31
We might be begging him to come back if things carry on.

7.) 03 Jun 2016 16:26:35
I very much agree with you no22, to be fair the thought of a Lars and Britt partnership is quite exciting.

8.) 03 Jun 2016 18:18:08
We don't have to beg him to come back, he's contracted. He has two choices play or breach his contract and sit-out the season unpaid!

That said, we won't ask him to play, I think he will be moved on, as he isn't good enough for the Championship, too slow!

9.) 03 Jun 2016 20:23:58
Fake account.

10.) 03 Jun 2016 20:31:03
No22 are you the dougmiester in disguise doom and gloom 😎.

11.) 03 Jun 2016 20:48:36
Play to his strengths ie in the air. Pearce wanted him to dribble the ball in the net and he's not going to do that. With twisty and osbormes crosses and him taking out two cbs it will so many chances for assombalongo. For those that's old enough to remember the baker wignall and the woodcock withe partnerships.

12.) 03 Jun 2016 22:01:48
What have I said now Skeg?

Just being honest.

13.) 04 Jun 2016 11:05:31
Think he's just trying to say to you keep the faith no22 - we share your concerns but let's not beat ourselves up on a daily basis my friend - there is always hope!

Report suggests Nottingham Forest have offered former Anderlecht boss Besnik Hasi the manager job

Het Nieuwsblad is reporting that Hasi, who left his role at Anderlecht at the end of March, has plenty of offers on the table. Legia Warsaw have offered him the job whilst Galatasaray are also said to be interested in handing him the top job.

However, the former Albania international is said to be keen on a move to England and has an offer from the Championship – which Nieuwsblad suggests is from Nottingham Forest.

Hope not. lol

Total novice.

1.) 03 Jun 2016 11:56:20
Total rubbish as usual. I am not on Twitter so I do not know what the Chairman is saying at the moment.

2.) 03 Jun 2016 12:08:11
Besnik Hasi looks like a Rookie manager to me. Was the assistant manager at Anderlecht and then the Manager for not very long. Why did he leave? Never manged anywhere else. If he is that sought after and left Anderlect in March why has he nor been snapped up by now?

3.) 03 Jun 2016 12:21:45
Don't want him would be a disaster. Could be lazy journalism like most of these random rumours are. The Greek will already have laised with whatever little structure we have and he'll have a number one target lined up probably from Greece or connections with Greece. Fawaz will have quite a large input still however because as chairman you usually make more decision even with a 20% stake than the owner. The owner should sit back but with 80% has a lot of control over fawaz. In the fat slightly questionably corrupt Greek boat man we trust 🌳.

4.) 03 Jun 2016 12:29:34
Besnik who?

5.) 03 Jun 2016 12:40:55
Who the heck is that? These rumours are getting worse and worse for us. What happened to the decent names being bandied about. I wish something concrete would happen and put us all out of our misery.

6.) 03 Jun 2016 13:07:44
Surely all these rumours are just a smoke screen, to stop people sniffing around the takeover, until it's completed. My dogs got better managerial status than Besnik what's his face, and my dogs proper stupid. Keep the faith.

7.) 03 Jun 2016 15:25:49
Hang on a minute hasi was manager of Anderlecht for two years winning the Belgian pro league and Belgian cup trophies don't lie what more do u people want Steve bl##dy Evans?

8.) 03 Jun 2016 15:30:39
Bet we end up with Russel Slade just u watch.

Billions of years of evolution. Several thousand years of written history

Despite all of these advances in human development Nottingham Forest still haven't figured out that you play two up top at home?

Oh, and get a new keeper.

I like Smith a lot! But I can't watch no break dancing on the spot as the points go off up the road.

Should never have sacked Breadman.

Who's going to want to come and manage us now after this debacle. :)

1.) 07 Jan 2018 16:59:08
Top 6 squad, going no where under a poor mid table manager. Dodged a bullet.👍 Brazil for manager.👍😂

2.) 07 Jan 2018 16:58:34
Heckingbotom 😂

01 Jan 2018 14:32:03
Here's something that is very evident to me.

We don't have a starting 11?

1, Smith
2, Lichaj
3, Traore

And so on.

MW never knew who was best in what position and seemed to want to leave positions empty because he didn't believe in the players he had available, despite the fact he couldn't bring players in who could fill the empty slots in the first 11.

How is that good for cohesion and how does it look? Workers like structure and to know they are valued. giving them a squad number is a part of that.

It also looks awful on the team sheet when a defender is last on the sheet where no 11 should be.
Its a mess and says plenty about MW and his management!

Pick your current 11 best and give them a number!

no22

31 Dec 2017 12:20:51
MW was bang average and whether we like it or not he wasn't going to fulfil the ambitions of big Stelios.

End of, and I'm glad about it!
At least we don't need to go through the usual machinations that a few bad posts on here swung a decision that is way above our pay grade.

Let's have a quick appointment and look forward to two televised games and a good new year. At least we avoid the total national embarrassment of "to me to you" girly tippy tappy football played amongst the back 9.

Our defence is so bad Burnley want Worrall for 12 million quid.
Say's it all.

New manager has to be Karanka for me.

no22

1.) 31 Dec 2017 12:31:21
A brilliant post 22. Stop trying to use this page to get your fan Karanka it’s very underhand when you know fine well that Marinakis is totally manipulated by going’s on on this site

2.) 31 Dec 2017 12:38:03
Sorry to see him go, no manager gets a proper chance it seems these days, it's ridiculous.

The only good thing is that hopefully we don't have to hear people harp on about tippy happy, no plan B nonsense anymore, well hope so anyway, let's see how the new manager will play.

No doubt there will be many fans ready to jump on his back as soon as they have a bad run of results. Here we go again.

3.) 31 Dec 2017 13:03:15
Karanka got the sack from Middlesbrough why and you think he's going to do a better job at forest also what makes you think any manager would come here with the sackings every 6 months also they will look at what budget they will get for transfers that is the key to who will come here if it's a crap budget it's going to be a crap manager simples welcome back df

Warburton is a average manager, but what top managers would have wanted to join a club short of cash that could easily have been a League 1 club this season?

Warburton had ambition, and had a point to prove when he left Rangers the way he did.

Warburton tried to change too much at the club too quickly, in the end he failed to improve the defence as a unit, played players in positions that they were not suited to, played too many young players, and had no short term plan, just a long term plan.

Once the team failed to keep The City Ground a fortress, of which the wins we had there were what was keeping us at the right end of the table then it was a case of how much the board trusted in what he was trying to do.

This is a bad time for a manager to join us, January transfer windows are usually very expensive, and we are short of money.

All we can do is hope the new manager can organise the team better than Warburton did.

5.) 31 Dec 2017 13:13:33
I'm not a Billy fan but to be fair Ginger we haven't had a decent Manager who knew what he was doing on the pitch since the poisoned dwarf left.

6.) 31 Dec 2017 13:38:50
Gingerkid42

The trouble is people read what others have to say, especially the bad about any manager that joins us then use the sound bites when things go wrong, it is as if they are wanting things to go wrong so they can use those sound bites.

7.) 31 Dec 2017 13:52:02
The budget will be less than a million and the manager can have half of whatever he can generate from selling players that he deems surplus to requirements of which there is plenty of.

8.) 31 Dec 2017 14:41:53
Well, I've heard it all now!
Allow me to answer a couple of these in one hit.

1. Every manager has been sacked? At least pick one with experience who actually won something or has got promotion out of this league.

2. This is not a small club with no money! Stop running the club down!
This club is one of the top 30 in the land.
You do not just walk into a job at Forest because no one else wanted to do it? It is an honour to manage this club (it also pays over a million quid a year!) and an appointment here is something that will go down in the history books that you can tell your children about.

For some, it may even be a stepping stone? But for those who care it is everything.

This is a GREAT club and a serious appointment for any manager.
But hey, I guess there's a shortage of people who want to earn over a million a year and be on the telly every weekend.

9.) 31 Dec 2017 15:23:01
Too right we should be aiming high

10.) 31 Dec 2017 15:32:52
Just a thought where has this we only have a million quid to spend sounds fake news to me 😕

Would you please explain, if we are such a top club nowadays, why did both

Clough and Rowlett reject the chance to join us?

30 Dec 2017 15:42:01
1 down and nearly half time.

Leeds, Arsenal, Villa, Wolves up next.

Next points might be in Feb.

no22

1.) 30 Dec 2017 16:31:10
Murphy injured too. February which year?

2.) 30 Dec 2017 16:48:41
27,000 watching today will be rightfully moaning on here later.

Thick white bread is going to need some tinfoil to survive this.

3.) 30 Dec 2017 16:51:20
Moaning or fact recitals?

4.) 30 Dec 2017 17:05:59
Murphy injured?walker up top then and brereton on the wing or will darikwa go up top and brereton on the wing

5.) 30 Dec 2017 17:31:20
No.22: you are being extremely optimistic?

6.) 30 Dec 2017 17:36:00
I'm trying my best. :)

The circumstances are difficult, lol.

Simples.

Like I said months ago.
5hit or bust.

Bust will mean we have to get rid of the young valuable players but I expect us to have at least two seasons to do something.

The only subs the owner is concerned about is the 18 plus million subscription (loss) it costs every season to limp along in this league.
As an investor it isn’t tenable.

If mario dies nothing it will cost him 100 mil over the next four seasons just to tread water.

This team is going to cause havoc.
Some very smooth skills and touches today without quite clicking in the first half.

Good things to come once they get used to the pace of the champ.

Very excited for the coming season.
