Well, what a point and battling performance.

Overall, I thought the whole team worked extremely hard and defended well throughout the game. There were a couple of individual mistakes, Muric and Worrall both did well and looked solid.

Our passing/ decision making in the oppositions half was nervy/ poor and we gave the ball away too cheaply, too often. This put us under more pressure at time and made it easier for Leeds. I guess this was partly down to a number of new players getting used to each other and a new style, but I was very impressed with the way Leeds were more purposeful and precise when moving forward.

I felt this was slightly less of an 'Alamo' type performance where we defended the lead for most of the game at their place last season (before Roofe cheated) . We also had a couple of really, really good chances (Dawson Header, Watson's Shot) that could easily have gone in on another day.

The difference for me was Ameobi. I thought he was brilliant when he came on and Leeds couldn't deal with him. We also had a little rub of the green with decisions, but it wasn't all one way by any stretch.

If we can maintain the same defensive performance and improve our cohesion in the opposition half, I think many teams will really struggle to live with us this season.
It remains to be seen whether we can do that and replicate the same levels on a consistent basis, but I'm quite looking forward to the next few games.

Good post daftree one other thing that is slightly worrying was we were undone many times by the ball over the top. Bamford is not the quickest but gave them an easy outlet. I hope Lamouchi took note. Defending corners and set pieces needs morre agression too.

We will improve when we change the centre back pairing. Dawson and Worrall together are too slow to be able to defend a higher line and even Bamford did them for pace.

Once we get a settled back four we can start playing higher up the pitch and use our physical strength in midfield to boss games and Cash running in the final third.

Onward and Upward.

Well. With at least two decoy squads, We should at least be able to throw the old Bielsarazzi off the scent.

Ha Ha, he will need at least 3 spies with wire cutters to sort through this lot.

I wonder what team he will put out tomorrow, Jenkinson and Samba straight in and the others from this week in the league Cup on Tuesday?

I thought the winners already got a Europa League spot?

Could be due to a few things e. g. Salary or him hoping for a Premier League club.

I thing he did his crucial ligament last year, so it is possible that he hasn’t recovered fully from that.

However, with his record, he might be worth a trial. Maybe a short term contract or pay-as you-play type deal. Although that would depend what he is willing to take also.

Like the sentiment. Might just be me, but it feels like most teams that go up seem to show some stability e. g. just adding one or two signings to a team that did well the previous year.

Does anyone genuinely think this many signings is going to payoff? I’m wondering if there is any history of this approach resulting in a successful season.
