I feel a bit sick right now as rumours emerge about MON future. Marakinakis was full of praise when he interviewed Martin saying his enthusiasm was overwhelming. Givem Martins experience and absolute honesty i would like to think that he would be given a chance to vindicate his alppointment. Look at the reality of the injuries he inherited and the huge squad of averageness. A couple of days of crap window to shore up the defence?

Its crucial that msrikinakis invest time in oneil and let's him shuffle this squad and bring in his players. I admit to being baffled by the team sheets and the seemingly lack of conviction from the plsyers on matchday. Is oneil just dussing out the characters he wants to keep? I thought when AK left thst Bruce was a goid fit but got many thumbs down.

I doubt even he coukd get a tune out of this bloated and fragmented squad. Its going to be painful between now and the season end but its essential to get this squad rinsed of the dross and a clean slate for Oneil. You can see it now out with the Brit and in comes Johnny foreigner and his ambitious calamatous vision for a quick fix. It will be another disaster. Just look at that squad? Can you really level ALL the blame at a hapless Oneil?

If Marikinakis pulls the trigger so prematurely it will show him as impatient and petulant, insincere and desperate. Many good things have happened under his stewardship but getting the right manager and assembling a tight talented squad has been a huge failing. He needs to grasp reality and support Oneil right now. MAYBE MON is not the right manager but should he be judged and sentenced on the mistakes of previous managers poor judgement? I think you all know the answer!

If you’re a good manager, you take average players and make them good, and good players exceptional. You make the most with what you have and bring in to improve the squad by buying players to turn a weak area into a strength. Since AK left, our strength of being fairly hard to beat has faltered, our attacking prowess has left us, and we’ve played more formations than in the previous two seasons. It could be argued that inconsistency in a shape is causing players to make poor tactical decisions which is then causing us to be easier to break down. AK played a system, it might not have been pretty or always effective but it was consistent and thus hard to break down. I personally don’t think MON should go, but I think if he doesn’t stick to a system he won’t be here come the start of next season.

2.) 18 Apr 2019 11:07:30
Ever since Martin came in these players have become trash overnight. They’re that bad he’s been forced to play our best centre mid at leftback, drop our most creative player to the bench when we can’t score and leave our center back in the stands so we can play our best leftback there. Now this sounds confusing and that’s because it is. MON needs to go.

3.) 18 Apr 2019 12:44:47
I wouldn’t say that. The issue lies with the fact that MON is taking a while to settle in and get his team set up but he’s not doing it quick enough and people are becoming disillusioned. He just needs to stick to one thing until the end of the season and if that’s round pegs in square holes then so be it. As long as players know what they’re supposed to do rather than what they think they should do we’ll improve. I think there’s too much freedom for too many players which is why we’re conceding and don’t look a team.

4.) 18 Apr 2019 13:00:48
He just needs to play the best players in their right positions and forget the hoof ball tactics. Something he is too stubborn to do.

5.) 18 Apr 2019 13:30:51
Why do we never hear anything from roy keane wonder what his thoughts are??

6.) 18 Apr 2019 16:05:44
His thoughts are probably why have I come here to be on the end of all this social media hatred after only 14 games.

7.) 18 Apr 2019 18:45:25
Just what we need. A new manager. After all, it's always made a difference and got us promoted over the last 10 years or more.

8.) 18 Apr 2019 18:57:30
Syred- It’s not hatred he’s just not up to the job. Can you explain his recent bizarre team selections? And awful football.

Diamond Geezer - why stick with a manager that obviously isn’t working? If his name was McLeish youd want rid.

9.) 18 Apr 2019 19:13:33
Why would you feel a bit sick? It's Forest, same old, same old.😐

10.) 18 Apr 2019 21:26:57
Red tree if Osborn is our best centre midfielder then we are in trouble.
Even karanka and warby didn't play him there.

11.) 18 Apr 2019 23:00:00
Just to clarify 79’ In my opinion

Colback is our best CM
Robinson is our best LB
Milosevic should be playing CB
Carvahol should be playing CAM

I don’t rate Osborn, if we want to challenge at the right end Osborn isn’t in the team.

12.) 19 Apr 2019 19:29:42
Jamie ward is better than osborne, I would like to o Neil get his 18 months after all we'd go through 4 managers I that time ,and if he was to go whos coming in overseas managers are not going to do us any good they don't know the league if we was to change I'd bring in David Blaine as we need a fcking magician do do any thing here, I'd settle for some decent moving off the ball passing and getting a few shots on goal

13.) 19 Apr 2019 23:42:24
David Blaine would be an improvement on the miracle man at the moment.

14.) 19 Apr 2019 23:51:47
Well everybody is having a go at pick and mix with the squad.
The fact is the squad was assembled to play out from the back and be solid in midfield. and playing on the break That was working until our centre halves got injured.
You cannot expect the team to adapt mid season to playing a completely different way with a new manager so stop moaning and just accept that MON is giving everyone a go to see who he wants for next year.
Pre season has started early. We will dump at least 10 in June when contracts run out. The youngsters are not quite ready but we have a core of good pro's upon which to rebuild the squad.
I could not care less if we lose all the remaining matches as individual performances will determine who is up for next season?

15.) 20 Apr 2019 17:17:14
You might not care but people are paying money to watch this garbage. He hasn’t shown us anything progressive or deserving of a shot next season. So instead of telling people what to do consider what’s best for the fans and our poor necks. hoooof.

16.) 22 Apr 2019 08:28:11
Cant switch to a different style ?? I've seen teams make 3 subs at half time and from playing it out from the to long ball because the opposition have stepped the pitch, they have played football from a young age and are paid well to play they should be able to follow instructions and tactics so is that managers fault or players maybe both

17.) 22 Apr 2019 11:38:05
Managers fault

17 Jan 2019 22:04:33
For all the negative reaction to Johan beneloane joining us and i have looked at his stats. Some of the stuff on youtube show a comepetent mobile skilful tough tackling defender. Can do no worse than what we have available.

rutland red1

1.) 18 Jan 2019 05:07:20
YouTube is the worst players best can make anyone look a world beater.

2.) 18 Jan 2019 07:25:19
A lot better than what we have Rutland at least he's a defender doing a defending job .not a midfielder or a winger as used over the past 12 months .hey we might even have a manager doing a managers job now as well what do you think Sutton 😆😆

3.) 18 Jan 2019 07:46:09
I like it Skegs.

4.) 18 Jan 2019 08:05:23
I spoke with a leicester fan who watches every game including under 23's home and away and he says he is a very good cultured centreback. Gets stuck in and may take a few yellows. He reckons oneil is just the man to get the best from him.

5.) 18 Jan 2019 09:32:47
Can also be the best players worst friend, depends how you look at it Sutton. 🤔

6.) 18 Jan 2019 14:36:02
Johan Benaloane. sounds like he's no mates!???

7.) 18 Jan 2019 15:25:14
MY Leicester mate says he is solid and a good player. He has just been unlucky with the form of Huth and Morgan and now Maguire.

8.) 18 Jan 2019 15:41:02
Is Lacovitti out on loan? If not, why not give him a game? And what about the young Swedish centre back? I hope young players get more opportunity under M O'N than they did with Karanka.

9.) 18 Jan 2019 15:57:25
Yes, what is the point of keeping Anel Ahmedhodzic if we don't even play him when no other defender is fit. It must sent the message that you will never get a chance if he doesn't get one now.

10.) 18 Jan 2019 16:00:24
And no, Lacovitti - Scottish International - is not out on loan as he was in the U23 side.

And Anel Ahmedhodzic is also an intenational.

11.) 18 Jan 2019 19:57:03
If we signed Messi someone on here would say he's past it, give the bloke a chance and i mean MON

12.) 18 Jan 2019 20:55:11
Read the comments about Iacovitti and Ahmedhodzic not being played. Seen a fair bit of these two with the U23s.
Not seen much from Iacovitti to get excited about. Ahmedhodzic is a real talent but last time I saw him, 9 months ago, still way too skinny for a Championship centre half. He's only 19 and 6 foot 5. Just give him some time to fill out. Fingers crossed, he could be a real gem

28 Dec 2018 12:02:42
Fox was seething as he came off and had to be restrained. Was it from the ref or AK? Their were some long injuries and lots of subs plus pants did his usual time wasting which is about as thick as he gets. So the ref, rightly made us pay.
Bringing on Dias would have angered the senior pros as we were dealing with wave after wave of pressure from Norwich.

Watson sat deep or Osborn harassing would have made sense but Dias? AK is on a suicide mission and will not admit his mistakes. Darikwa is so inconsistent its a shame, sorry but if AK perseveres with certain players we will never be a proper force. He has one style, if you can call it that, which is effective away but he has no plan B at home. How can teams like Norwich swarm over us at home yet we are feeble and directionless? Frustrated?!

rutland red1

1.) 28 Dec 2018 15:13:33
For me foxy and colback men of the match for me fox probally wanted to get at dias and give him a b******g after all he deserved it woeful.

2.) 28 Dec 2018 21:25:16
Pantilimon booked for time wasting in the 97th minute.
Would the ref have blown up if he hadnt p@@@ed about and just lumped it up?
Guess we will never know

3.) 28 Dec 2018 23:42:16
Pants is PANTS and any other manager will drop him,s---------tt

02 Feb 2018 16:45:05
Ben watson expected to sign after the Fulhsm gsme. Positve talks held at the academy. Will be great for us.

rutland red1

1.) 02 Feb 2018 16:53:30
Him and Coleback would be a couple of firebrands in midfield, along with Bridcutt I can see our work-rate going up.I don't know how Bouchalakis is going to fit in. There will be a lot of question-marks over our present players by the summer.

2.) 02 Feb 2018 17:34:50
I can't see where osborn and dowell are going to fit in

3.) 02 Feb 2018 18:30:22
Really Dowell is one of the best players we have

4.) 02 Feb 2018 21:03:36
Dowell is a luxury, which is fine when your playing well and winning.
His problem is he goes missing in games, sometimes for 70 mins then might pull a thunderbolt out of the blue.
Other than a big deflected goal against wolves,he has not played well for a while.
Needs to put a full shift in,but then you have to take into account he's been in a side that has a unbalanced midfield with four being left footed on everymatchday.
Should be more balanced now,but i'd leave him out tomorrow in favour of ged colback osborn cash and tomlin.
Stronger players against a very good side in great form.

5.) 02 Feb 2018 21:07:06
He is very talented i will give him that. he's a luxury player if the teams playing well he does well other than that he's very lazy

6.) 03 Feb 2018 08:12:45
Your right ff. we now have pit ponies as well as show ponies.

7.) 03 Feb 2018 11:42:41
New guys aside as I don't know about them, Dowell is the only one who can hit a decent free kick.

8.) 03 Feb 2018 13:24:04
As well as a dodgy corner 🙄

9.) 03 Feb 2018 21:22:20
Like i said should have left Dowell out, snowboater who plays for himself, not the team.

10.) 04 Feb 2018 11:58:13
Dowell needs to be dropped for a few games.

11.) 04 Feb 2018 14:57:29
Lol what's a snowboater it sounds good craic 😂

27 Jan 2018 22:31:22
At least now their can be no argument. Karanka has given him a chsnce and he has taken it. I told you all Velios is not crap well done karanka.

rutland red1

1.) 28 Jan 2018 06:39:53
Just seen the goal, great finish. Playing brereton ahead of velios has cost us .

2.) 28 Jan 2018 09:48:49
Two bad defensive errors cost us.
I said it was game over at half time.

3.) 28 Jan 2018 14:28:21
Ff79 you seemed happy with the line up yesterday. You then thriugh what you saw changed your tone. Was it really that bad???

4.) 28 Jan 2018 16:16:41
Rutland. Nearly everyone thought it was a positive line up. We even convinced ourselves that Carayol might be part of a master plan. We sat or stood mainly and watched absolute garbage.

5.) 28 Jan 2018 16:51:12
Ff79 i do not get csryol. He always looks liks he is limping either thst or he has one leg shorter than the other. For sure Karanka will have his eyes open now. Its so disrespectful to 4000 travelling fans for that to ever happen again.

6.) 28 Jan 2018 21:03:34

Karanka will have Carayol out the door as he had his eyes opened at Boro with him. He has no work ethic or courage and is good for about 20 mins a game on a good day!

He'd be better off in the French league where he will get more space.

7.) 28 Jan 2018 22:22:19
Rutland I was happy with the line up,the problem is they didn't turn up yet again.
They win a game against the top side in the league and follow it up with a shocker, been doing it for too long now,It's inexcusable big clearout required as they don't have the mental strength to succed

8.) 29 Jan 2018 05:15:31
Mental strength that's a good point. These next 4 days are going to be interesting. What does karanka do??? Stick or twist????

9.) 29 Jan 2018 08:36:31
On that performance twist.
Boukalkis fox Carayol definite non starters for me and and Dowell and Brereton dropping to the bench.

Very interesting reading comments on here regarding VAR. I hate the the thing as much as internstional football breaks.
Its killing our game and its integrity. Its one thing having goal line technology but to have offside, accidental handball etc scrutinised so in depth is pathetic. Football is a fluid sport, not precise, nothing is exact. Offside is such a difficult thing to get right and in my view to be offside all of your body myst be beyond the last defender, as in all of the ball must cross the line for a goal to be given. This would make it easier to police and give the advantage to attacking teams and not defences.
Tv replays are not conclusive and cannot identify from some angles whether a player has been tripped. Football is a real time action and should not be judged by people in studios miles away. Let the rules be decided by the officials where a player is deemed to be offside and not so exact. Football is a game of mistakes, we all make mistakes so let the officials have the atonomy. If a player has been spotted doing something ilegal on the pitch then let retrospective punishment be applied. VAR is not dealing with shirt pulling and wrestling at corners so why use it speculatively when goals are scored and a minor misdameanor is discovered. Not once has a ref gone to the pitch side monitor and made the call himself, why? Because i feel its never clear enough and he wants to shed
responsibility. Bin VAR and simplify certain aspects of the game and keep calamity thst is live spectator sport, all this VAR stuff is baying to the armchair fan and not the punter who enjoys the uncertainty and excitement of being in the crowd enjoying the twoing and frowing of live footy!

rutland red1

1.) 04 Nov 2019 16:51:56
Totally agree mate. watching MOTD. really putting me off this game now.

{Ed001's Note - just to point out, the pitchside monitors are something Mike Riley, as head of the PGMOL, has decided are not to be used in the Prem. It is the only competition in the world that uses VAR and doesn't refer decisions to the on-pitch ref to look at on a pitchside monitor.}

2.) 04 Nov 2019 17:36:56
Just noticed that MOTD said "We will only show you before the injury occurs". Then in the studio. you can see the players ankle facing the other way?!

3.) 04 Nov 2019 17:55:30
Watching Lineker and Shearer trying to be witty puts me off it Rogie.

4.) 04 Nov 2019 17:57:05
Rutland, great post mate.

5.) 04 Nov 2019 18:23:59
Same here Gazza. Colin Murray on Quest is way better on Quest.

6.) 04 Nov 2019 18:42:28
Football players are to blame for ruining the game, if they did not cheat, and some are very good at it VAR would not be needed.

7.) 04 Nov 2019 18:53:40
Spot on Corby pal spot on.

8.) 04 Nov 2019 20:58:33
It’s not var that’s ruining it, var is good it’s the persons that are watching the screens that are the problem. too much interpretation in the game regarding the rules.

9.) 05 Nov 2019 15:31:42
Think Colin Murray as a soft spot for us which a breath of fresh air cus every other pundit/ presenter doesn’t give us an ounce of gratitude.

24 Oct 2019 11:37:11
Well the wigan result was a surprise but the Hull one a hammer blow. Not just the result but the abstraft performance. These results will have dented the confidence and has highlighted the averageness of the squad. Once we lose Dawson, sow and one or two others the quality and grit is just not there. I agree with Red Baloons, Carvalaho is simply out of his depth. One assist every 5 games is dreadful. What i saw of the game lastnight with aimless high balls into the box indicated a team bereft of ideas and guile to break down a team defending a lead.
Grabban is not a centre forward, more a striker who feeds off scraps. No areil presence so we hoof balls to him.
I felt SL had worked wonders this far but this bunch of results has done for that. His ability to turn this around is going to make or break this season. Confidence has been everything for this team in scraping results thus far. Has our luck run out.

rutland red1

1.) 24 Oct 2019 12:11:11
We miss Dawson’s leadership and organisation from the back and Sow/ Semedo’s power to boss the midfield. Once we get a couple of these lads back the results will come again. It’s obvious Carvalho/ Silva combo is too lightweight and Watson/ Bostock style too similar. Just shows how important Sow/ Semedo are to us. Regarding last night I think it was a mistake to pitch Robinson against Bowen and not the more mobile Ribiero. Not the end of the world, let’s go again 👊🏻.

2.) 24 Oct 2019 12:23:12
Perks, my view entirely . The last two games have been lost because of the players chosen - not because of this those available . Yates in for either Carvalho or Silva and I think we defend better . I think figs is better than Chema but feel the other two omissions were the root of the problem. Aside from that was the return to sideways, backwards no pace no penetration football which was painful to watch . An inability to turn the game around when playing 10 men for 20 mins demonstrates this. Worse still we couldn’t defend for toffee. Samba was the only positive for me.

01 Oct 2019 08:12:41
Good yardstick playing without captain marvelous tonight. I would have thought that milosovic would be the better partner for worrall tonight but its obvious lamouchi does not rate him. Our injury issues are problematic again. Cash is doing an admirable job at RB but the loss of Dawson is a kick in the teeth. let's hope that worrall continues his sensational rise to stardom and that samba dominates his 6 yard box. We will get chances at Blackburn so hopefully we can stick them away and give the defence something to protect!

rutland red1

1.) 01 Oct 2019 10:39:02
Milosevic won't play the staff don't like his distribution as our game now relies on good play from the back and being comfortable on the ball.

2.) 01 Oct 2019 11:51:31
The days of centre backs just heading and kicking the ball away from the danger area are long gone. Being comfortable on the ball and finding a pass to turn defence into attack quickly as well as defending are essential for the NEW Forest.

3.) 01 Oct 2019 13:17:32
I think when defending crosses and set pieces its a header away from the danger zone end of. Yes balls defended from long upfield height need to be nodded to a fellow player. John Terry was the master of just throwing himself at crosses and shots. As for passing out from the back, yes that's important but recently both dawson and worral have faltered in this department. Its all about opinions but i think milsovic is the better of what we have.

4.) 01 Oct 2019 13:35:57
rr1 we like to pass the ball back to the keeper when we are on the half way line a fair amount of time, i think that is what SL meant in a interview when saying sometimes the players do not want to take risks to try and win the game. We are still a good team though and will only get better over time.

25 Sep 2019 13:08:27
Following on from the discussion re team selection lastnight. Making a fist of it is the minimum when you get a big cuptie like Arsenal. I understand friday is looming but not playing players for fear if injury is a cop out. Players get injured on their days off, like pearce did when chasing his missuses horse. Our players get injured during matchday warm up so protecting players is futile. Muric is sh#te and his inabilities permiate through the whole team. Its unbelievabke that we have only one striker in Grabban, who i doubt is fit anyway. Asking this team and manager to get promoted with only one striker is laughable. Grabban is not a versatile striker suited to Lamouchi's methods anyway, as demonstrated again against Barnsley, only one shot on target!
Our recent insurgence has been admireable but without a threat of goals it could change in a flash.
Bear in mind the players had a fortnight off so fitness should not be an issue. Momentum is hard to build but easy to erode. I hope lastnight fiasco has no legacy as we are looking promising again in the league and Lamouchi is having a very positive influence and effect. Just not sure if dithering with one up top who is not suited to it can be sustainable in the push for promotion. Waiting until Jan could be foolish.

rutland red1

1.) 25 Sep 2019 13:56:28
Last night has to be put down as bad decision making from Lamouchi, but the rest of your arguments don't add up, if you were at Swansea and Barnsley game you wouldn't be criticising anyone player in the side and Swansea in particular grabban would have made you eat your words, he was superb,
We do need another striker but more from a point of having back up for grabban not to replace him, where do you get another 20 goal striker from that wants championship football?
All the players look fitter this season including grabban so no idea why your questioning his fitness?
Anyway enjoy watching Friday night and see the real forest and collecting another three points.
I was as dissapointed as anyone last night with the team and its football and a shocking 5 hour journey home, by the way a special shootout to highways England for turning the M1 into a car park, but enjoyed the experience of visiting the Emirates and a few beers with the lads.

2.) 25 Sep 2019 14:10:59
Ff i agree with much of what you say. But Lewis is best at picking up knock downs wnd through balls in the box, he is not a target man, which would suit better the Lamouchi style. Not moaning at the effort as the morale in the squad is furst class. Just feel our offensive departmentvis very limited. Anyway you go week in week out so bow to your more informed knowledge. Red always.

3.) 25 Sep 2019 14:11:53
It's not about protecting against injury, Rutland, it's about keeping players fresh for the games that matter. Especially players like Grabban who have a history of injuries and needs to be looked after and nursed through the season. Why make him play three 90mins in the space of 6-days? That would be madness. He was quite rightly rested.

4.) 25 Sep 2019 14:32:55
Grabban isn't being played as a hold up striker Lamouchi has every player looking to break with pace when we get the ball not try to play everything through grabban, the wingers and full backs are the key to the way we play, just need some sort of consistency from the wingers as they've all been a bit hit and miss but at least he has enough to rotate them.
Getting lolley firing again would be the biggest plus and I'm sure it will come as we had this last season with him and karanka dropping him to the bench.

5.) 25 Sep 2019 16:06:22
FF, in Highways England’s defence there is a genuine attempt to do the most disruptive work at night, our roads are far to busy and our transport infrastructure is very inadequate due to decades of failure by the DFT.

It is however unacceptable that there wasn’t a coordinated approach between various parties to postpone or delay last nights works on the M1. I know for sure that if Highways England are informed by event organiser that the event will generate a spike in traffic between certain times they will delay or postpone works to accommodate the road user. The only know what they know mate. Like everything that is bad with this country plenty of people could give the right information to the right people to minimise impact on masses - sadly lacking all too often.

6.) 25 Sep 2019 16:58:07
What made it worst was the A1 being the same w got down to stevenage in 2 hours and train straight in, got train straight back and left stevenage making great time then you meet the M1 they have no defence in my book 2 star not enough information from them and these smart motorways are more dangerous than the ones they replaced only have to look at junction 24 A accidents every day on that part of the M1.

7.) 25 Sep 2019 18:07:40
You should raise your complaints with them mate, it might just make them engage better with more people .
BTW traffic England publicises all roadworks well In advance, any road user can access the information and coach companies are failing customers if they don’t utilise it to gain information on how journeys might be affected .

8.) 25 Sep 2019 22:37:05
2 star I can't be bothered to complain about anything run by government as it's a waste of time .
Politicians can't even vote alongside their constituents that voted them in, so save my breath and ink.

9.) 25 Sep 2019 23:28:16
Well I'm really pleased that the Forest computer said NO when I tried to buy a ticket and the coach option listening to all the grumbles!

Very disappointed with the naivety of the midfield set up in front of an untried back 5 and falling away at the end to record a 5-0. A game made for Bostock returning home to London?

The upside in this crazy football world is that having played Mighten and Gabriel against the " Mighty Arsenal" is that their transfer value has gone up £10m!

Every cloud has a silver lining as they say?

Stoke are due a win so the boys better be really fired up on Friday and put Nathan Jones out of a job by returning us a big win!

You’re right FF but you never know, the police and Highways England might start to communicate better with each other around such events . The police will have been aware if the spike in traffic as they will have been informed by Arsenal how many fans were travelling. Measures could be put in place to delay roadworks and get the masses through . Poor planning and communication.

The coach company are equally at fault, the information. Is available to them to help them plan their routes, the could have gone up the A1 back to Nottm and avoided the M1 altogether .

Felt with how preston have started season it was going to be a draw. But no shots on target first half and only the goal second half seems we still not holding posession high enough up the pitch as preston had more efforts on target. Lewis is just not a target man and SL seems hell bent on that turgid 4 1 4 1.
Its difficult to get the triangles for passing with this system. Yesterday was a yardstick of where we are going. Is it a good enough system going forward?
Was hoping to see bostock and mir given a go at home as mir has a presence! Sow should have started too. Only my thoughts chaps!

Disagree rutland it's nothing like 4141 it's more 4 4 1 turning to 4 3 3 when lolley and uncle Albert join in, I know you don't attend so don't believe what you read or listen to.
Weve exceeded my expectations of how we would start and he tries to play good football, its a learning curve as the last three sides before yesterday like to play football and then suddenly he's come up against a side that dont.
Quietly confident this guy has something and learns very fast and changes things during a game to adapt.
Lamouchi has my full support I've enjoyed watching us so far under him.

Getting very concerned about the harmony breaking out on the forum?
Skeg being positive even though he cannot get his head around how good Carvalho is!
Ff Foremoaner aka Victor enjoying the football
Red Cyclist praising the team
Even FBB aka Basil making a positive post!
At this rate we might even get past Christmas without the forum calling for a new manager/ head coach?

Agreed in part red but telling 4 players they can go is poor. Just pay them up or agree a deal to terminate. Stupid having them hanging around.

No different to the chaotic recruitment under AK. Martin had a realistic handle on what was needed and his recruitment was solid. Its all just another massive gamble and continues the theme of over population. Team spirit is difficult to nurture uhder this policy.

Never thought one man could organise this bloated squad, galvanise and direct it to the top so quickly. Passion drive and organisation, total respect to SL he has delivered against the odds and in a climate thst would itimidate many managers. Think he is building a fortress!

79 i hope so. Dawson has been our john terry. Organises and gets across and infront of the goal threat on crosses. We do not have another like him. He has been so consistant and raises the game of those around him.

Stokes 2nd goal displays all you need to know about life without Dawson. Keeper got himself into no mans land and the cross, though brilliant was not attacked. Teams will exploit this time and again.

Clough, stoke is always an intimidating place to go. I feel we will need to score at least 2 to take the points tonight. Personally hope to see carvallaho doing the business against a strong physical team like Stoke. I know wonky eye says we play with pace and through the chanels but away from home an ariel outlet is always a bonus and encourages the midfield to push on.
