Stuart attwell and Anthony taylor should never officiate a game again
Attwell in particular is a disgrace and Taylor not far behind, put the two together and it's all about them.

At least they can not be involved in England's games, at one time the British officials was respected, know they are self important and think the game is about them.

My post last night regarding this went on the discussion page.
I thought at the time, this is a fix and it wouldn't surprise me further down the line that it's found out to be.
I just hope both Taylor and Attwell get sent home now and don't get another game in this tournament. They are embarrassing at best.

Remember the disallowed goal in th world cup years ago, the ref said it crossed the line after he blew for full time. The ref I believe was english.
The Dutch player was between the goalie and the path of the ball, irrespective of the goalkeeper dived or not. And also be was within easy reach of the player.

The new rules say he wasn't interfering with play
He didn't touch it was a yard to side of the keeper who would never have saved it, your going by the old rules, which in my opinion were simpler, these two clowns don't understand the new rules or are they bent officials?

I take it that if three players stood together where the only one stood they still would not be interfering with play.
It's a tricky decision in the first place, but he is still interfering. The refereeing associates I know have opinions which align with the decision.

Stella, little thin on top these days, maybe Sun addled my brain. Sometimes back I lived in Stamford, and had close connection with the Denials F C. They held a a football quiz covering all aspects, rules, clubs etc. Our team were doing quite well and got to the final. In the last section of the quiz the other team had first pick of the questions, we were left with a choice of two topics. Only one choice really, questions on Forest. We cleared up, and someone in the audience shouted out, " he is a season ticket holder, lucky I guess.

If the Dutch player put the ball in the other corner of the net, absolutely a goal. The ball in the corner as it did, the Dutch player was between the ball and the goalkeeper, offside.

At the end of the day football is entertainment, the decision should be about scoring. Nobody walks away from a stadium saying " That was a great decision by VAR", it's killing the game.
