Well, England took the rain with them on the t20, typical. Looking ok though fielding. Luv all the razzmatazz with t20 brings the game to life.
Looking forward to the playoffs now the boring stuff is over.

In the football. let's face it reds for me it's been dire. Not just England but overall. Is the euros getting like the FA cup a thing of the past? Unless your there at the end ??. Murrilo dam, player i absolutely luv. But we can't get lawyers to keep him. Unlike top 6.

Another season of also rans. And why, because the fans of football let your man city's get away with it. I was assured from clapson big boy knew what he was doing with ffp. Typical. Well ED would bin what i really wanted to say.
But hey we still have sport you reds. COYL.

Agree2 Disagree0

I get your frustration Bowie. I won't be commenting on T20 or the Euros as both are as boring as each other IMO! But the whole debacle about us contravening FFP still sticks in my throat. Our club must pay very good wages to 'professional' accountants and bookkeepers administering our huge budgets. Lawyers and Consultants must also demand huge recompense to advise the Board on us adhering to all the rules.

A massive outlay in itself. So what went wrong? I can only assume that Big M ignored their good advice. Arrogance in the extreme.

I don't think you're a bad man Skegs - why do you keep trying to portray yourself as such? Come and join me on the mountain climb and show your true colours in raising money for others less fortunate mate.

Mountain climb me I struggled walking up the hill at Scarborough ?? I have done a fair share of charity events in my time though.

Legless, I don’t know why we employed all those expensive accountants and FFP legal consultants last season as Mr M ignored them anyway ( and repeatedly lied to the Reds Supporters Group in public meetings about it). Luckily we got away with the 4 points deduction and survived.
By the way, it must have been embarrassing for Mr Randle an eminent KC and a leading expert on sports law. Obviously his warnings were over ruled as well.

Bowie, mate, as for the T20s I saw the way it was going and watched “Mississippi Burning” ( again) with my wife. We both agree it’s one of the most brilliant films ever, Gene Hackman, Frances Dormand and ( a very young and handsome ) William Defoe at the top of their game. Based on a true story as well….
Good luck to India in the final, they beat us fair and square! ?.

{Ed001's Note - excellent film that Stokey.}

It is mate, watched it about 6 months ago.

28 Jun 2024 13:26:08
Frances Mc Dormand I meant.
Ed 1 and Rogie, agreed! Great film. Gene Hackmans lived in face is perfect for the role of hard bitten cop ( plus he’s about 6’2”). He was intimidating and sublime as Popeye Doyle on the French Connection films. Amazing actor and ( just googled him) he’s still alive aged 94.

Skegs quote "I done my fair share of charity events " ???
That would be the 24hr drinkathon.
The 10 Donor kebabs in 10 mins.
600 back to back Coronation Streets
500 hour Bingo session and
25 nights out without buying a round ????.

28 Jun 2024 16:52:51
Very good Balloons! Maybe also the notoriously difficult 100 fag chain-smoke challenge?!

28 Jun 2024 17:55:10
Hey you 2 I have you know I walked from Boston to Leicester dressed as a viking we did stop at a pub every few hours but that's not the point ? we ran a charity from a pub in Leicester called it the tie club we would cut your tie and charge you a fiver to do it we done a lot of charity events for children in Leicester that couldn't afford electric wheelchairs it was in the 80s and the chairs cost a lot of money at the time we did really well but other than that your probably not far off balloons and there's some good events you've thought of I could enter ?.
