When you look at the lesser sides in the league (obviously players only) not fans and history. Your desperate for pace, especially with our lot. No idea on set pieces. Final 3rd clueless. Coaching abysmal. Defence open to every opportunity. Your desperate for pace on one side or the other, (nearly always right) just to counter. If that doesn't work your still taking pressure off the Defence.

I guess that I'm old-school Bowie. Whilst King Billy got an awful lot wrong managing our club, I still have a strange affinity towards his time with us. IMO, he got the basics right on the pitch, particularly 1st time around - 4-4-2 with the midfield playing in a diamond formation worked a treat for us.
I think many clubs nowadays, including Forest, try to over-complicate what should be a simple game mostly to accommodate the egos and strange footballing-theories of the so-called 'top managers/ coaches'.
I'd love to see us getting back to basics on the pitch.

The one that got it right and was a joy to watch was Paul Hart legless
That team would have been promoted the next season if doughty had invested in keeping Brennan and Scimica and adding a couple instead of letting them go for free, then who knows where that would have taken us.
