2 wins on the bounce indeed but it doesn't paper over the cracks.
Consider where Millwall were last year and we have been outplayed at home twice at home in the space of four days by two league 1 clubs.
I've heard (and this is only a rumour) that in training we can actually string more than 3 passes together and don't leave defensive gaps big enough to navigate an oil tanker through.
I'm dreading playing a team more clinical in front of goal (probably Brentford) as i fear a thrashing though i hope to be proved wrong.
Early days i know but can't for the life of me see that we've improved from last season and certainly not defensively.

Apart from the penalty Emtimov did not have a save to make. Last night showed me we have strength in depth. We made a lot of sloppy mistakes, how many of these were down to the conditions, who knows?

Carayol looked a handful going forward. Cummings looked very sharp. Dowell is a quality addition. Hobbs looked as solid as ever.

Lots to work on, but lots to be positive about too. If this was our second string, happy days!

Thats fine Rutland but people need to be realistic too. We are rebuilding. We have a load of new players. We ain't going to be real madrid overnight. Mid table would be brilliant this season after last season.

The problem with some fans they think we have right to be in the premiership because of our past there not interested in building a team up from scratch and watching it grow over a few seasons they think we should win a championship in one season with a new owner pumping 100s of millions in well guess what it ain't happening so get use to it we're a average championship side at best and all we can hope for is the team start playing well together and they all click anyway 2 wins out of 2 god knows what the moaners would of been like if we had lost both of them put your dummies back in and stop throwing them out of the pram at least till you have a good reason coyr.

This time last year we had won2 in a row - scored 6 conceded 4

The French guy didn't make 11 changes (he made a lot though)

No good moaning about the last 2 games - they are gone and we won them - it's the next 2 we need to worry about - last year it was 2 losses (3-0 Brighton, 1-0 Brentford)

If we pick up 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 points that's an improvement on last season - I'd take 2 draws now - but I'm hoping for 2 wins no matter how scrappy the game or how lucky we are. I still feel optimistic and happy with the way things are moving forward!
