Well, back to business, hopefully refreshed and prepared.
I see we didn’t have a friendly during the break. Villa did and lost Sancho to injury. Porto played on Saturday 4th April and drew 2-2 at home to Familicao, the 5th placed team. From the highlights, Porto were second best and looked ponderous at the back. Fofano looked dangerous and scored what looked like the winner in injury time, but the away side scored with seconds to go to take a point.
It looks a magnificent stadium. I am going to Porto, sadly though, not until a cruise booked for next year.
What do we think about not having a friendly in the 3 weeks we’ve had off? Personally, apart from our International players, I’d have sent them away on holiday somewhere with some light training to prepare for 4 games in 10 days (again). R and R and hopefully click up the sharpness against the Portuguese. In Vitor we trust….
