A world class goal from a Premier League or big name player. A decent goal from a lower league or little known player.

No mate i'd say top goal if it was a five side advert on sky sports. Non league or premier if its a top drawer finish it comes from a top drawer shot mo matter who it is . I've always liked Rooney works his socks off always wanting the ball. Man utd top shooter England top shooter and ain't narf taking sum stick, imagine a player like him in our team.

Rooney's ascendency co-incides with the arrival of Sam Allardyce who will save Everton, and could have saved England. Some people will always cut off their noses to spite their faces.

Saved England? Or filled his pockets a bit more? Greed and desperation spring to mind - one of them is big S and the other is Everton

But consistently bottled it at the World Cup/Euros.
Good goals against dire opposition.

Allardyce is a good football manager and has finally got a club management job with a competitive budget. Watch him be a success and get the best out of Rooney.

As for the off field issues he is no worse than the rest of them including some past managers close to home!

Two managers slated on this site (Warnock and allardyce) who have terrific records in the English game. None of the clowns we have employed for many a year are fit to lace the boots of either of them.

Maybe it's just me, but after hearing Sky Sports bang on about Rooney's goal, I was expecting a Beckham style goal from the half way line. When I saw the goal, I'm afraid it was more wonder goal. .really?

I do not know how much Rooney is at Everton but he was on about £300,000 a week at Man Utd. Unless he has taken a huge drop in wages at Everton is his goals to game ratio worth it?
