Disappointing today, but being honest, it was a fair result. It was frustrating watching, and I was ( and those around me) were again surprised at being at home and not being set up to attack ( although probably not surprised if truth be told) but my, I grew up watching Cloughies teams from the early eighties ( I just missed out on the miracle men) and if Forest were at home, you expected to win, no matter who they were playing . I guess I was spoilt. I adore Forest, and will always be there through thick and thin, but I would love to see us be like we used to be, and attack teams from the off, but I guess football has changed now.
But anyway, as I said, a disappointing day, but I'll be there on Tuesday, full of hope again! COYR.

When you watched cloughie teams did you remember the parking the bus against liverpool by times and winning the European cup for the second time against Hamburg with one shot on target great as it was?
It wasnt all attack my friend it was a lot of counter attack too.

Sometimes you just remember the good games.
Lamouchi has had us playing some good game, today we just ran out of ideas and our final ball wasnt good enough.
Cloughie was and always will be a legend but you can't make comparistments with him and Lamouch, different football in those days.

2.) 22 Feb 2020 21:27:26
Bit of a difference parking the bus against a Liverpool team who might have been the best team in the world at the time, to playing 2defensive mids in the last half hour at home to bottom half of the 2nd tier qpr, when you’re desperate for a goal,

3.) 22 Feb 2020 21:55:20
To a man stevie we don't understand that sub today, but my reference was that we didn't always play attractive football under sir brian.

4.) 22 Feb 2020 22:09:56
Ff fair do’s mate.

5.) 23 Feb 2020 08:08:52
Maybe my post came across wrong. I know it was never always attractive football but we used to counter attack and get forward lot quicker than we do now, which made it more exciting! I also remember many games when, especially at home, we Would have wave after wave of attacks and you Could almost ‘smell’ a goal coming, but I stand by my point that it didn’t matter who we were playing at home, we’d expect to win!

Good morning fellow reds. I hope you all had a great Xmas! I had a few days away with my good lady in a log cabin with a hot tub, plenty of beers ( probably too many as I popped the question lol. She did say yes bless her) and a nice chill. So all refreshed ready for the WFCG! And strangely, I actually fancy us to win well today! Must still be a bit drunk! And to all those attending today, let's get behind our boys from the off! As Skeg would say " easy 4 nil today! "

1.) 29 Dec 2019 11:56:47
That's what I like to hear mip19 and congratulations mate hope you all have a great day I'm going to try and sneak it livestream in my lock up why I'm working lol.

2.) 29 Dec 2019 12:10:26
Where are you working today Skegg?

3.) 29 Dec 2019 12:20:30
Thank you Skeg, hope you manage to see it! I’m sure we’ll all enjoy it, and I’ll have a couple of jars for you mate! And you’ll deserve a few Stellas after work ( the amount of jobs you have, you deserve each and every one of them! )

4.) 29 Dec 2019 12:21:42
Sorry but if we don't start positive a 1-1 draw for me. Not doom and gloom but reality . Wigan can bite, and it hurts.

5.) 29 Dec 2019 13:11:13
Mind those donkeys don,t kick ,Skeg ,have you got that Million pound watch in that lock up?
We'll be millionaires this time next year!

6.) 29 Dec 2019 13:28:16

7.) 29 Dec 2019 13:30:49
Handyman today 2star till half four the joys hey! Hope you and the family had a good Xmas and let's hope for a good win today.

8.) 29 Dec 2019 13:35:12
If we can score before half time we might do well today. I'd go for a win but by how many I don't know.

9.) 29 Dec 2019 13:42:17
I'm not that lucky carlo I would probably have that watch and sell it to someone for a quid lol.

Morning all. love match days! As I was getting ready, it got me thinking about routine/ superstitions etc. I have a special 'match day only' deodorant, I don't shave on game day and only put my season card in in my wallet just before I leave. Obviously, after many years of underachieving, I know it's not lucky or anything, but I can't break the cycle lol
What about you lovely lot, any similar things?

1.) 05 Oct 2019 11:14:46
See the direby two have been fined six weeks wages and have to do 80 hours community work expensive night out that however at least the persons didn't kill anyone for there stupidity.

2.) 05 Oct 2019 11:24:27
Luckily they didn't Aps.

3.) 05 Oct 2019 12:01:21
Stupidity not really punished, shouldn’t matter if anyone wasn’t killed, as soon as they stepped into the cars they were diving with death 😩.

Evening all! Hope I'm not jinxing this, but could this be the first time for a long long time, the the mighty reds might do what could happen? How many times over the last years have we had a " win today, they'll go in the top 6, be 5 points clear of the drop " etc etc, only to let us down? Let's hope that the team have belief, we can start having belief, and the tide is properly turning! Can't be there this evening unfortunately, and much much prefer watching live to on the tv ( it's more nerve wracking on tv! ) all who are there, enjoy, and as always, COYR!

1.) 27 Sep 2019 20:51:37
Just hope we don't bottle it everytime we get a chance to progress we seem to cock up.

2.) 05 Oct 2019 18:58:54
10 games undefeated out of eleven would say they are doing ok? 🤔🤔.

21 Sep 2019 09:25:24
Good morning all. Game Day. a 12 o'clock meet for the pre match beers, a day to remember the Great Man and hopefully another victory. An early goal would be very welcome! Let's keep FF's positivity going!
Have good day all and as always, COYR!

Just blowing the froth off my first one got my green top on and just winding up some sheep in my local who've come to watch them lose. 😁😁😁🍻🍻
Told them its pity I can't stay and watch but I'll nip to Tesco for some hankies for them as I have a train to catch and watch a proper football team. 🤣🤣🤣.

I was thinking the same. Definitely need someone to put Grabban under pressure for his place and back up in place for when he trips over his beard and injures himself!

I agree mate. The village where I live, the local pub has a huge beer garden, the tables are all over 2 metres apart so social distancing would be easy. I guess the powers that be are only thinking of city centre pubs, but as you say, with a bit of planning and common sense, they could make it work. It’s daft you can go to the supermarket and DIY stores where you are constantly on the move and walking past loads of other people, where as in a pub you’d be mainly sat in one place! The problem is my friend, as with so many other things in life, nobody asked us to sort it lol!
I’m pleased your move went well by the way!

And also hope everyone else in our Forest family is well too!

To be fair Red Sgetty, what with no football or pubs, I ended up talking to my good lady one evening. turns out she’s quite a nice person 🤣🤣
Hope everyone is keeping well, it would appear so with the humour of this thread!

My good lady is a Registered Manager too Rogie, and the work they do is incredibly valuable during normal times, but even more so now. We, as a nation, should be incredibly proud of ALL of our front line workers! Hope you all stay safe everyone, and Skegs, chin up mate, I know you’ve been through ( or going through) a rough time mate, but we as a Forest Family are thinking of you and wish you all the best buddy. We’ll get through it all together!
