Without a Shadow of Doubt.
Those Brave and Honourable Men were Proud to Serve our Country.
Today's generation should look up to those who fell and survived for inspiration instead of looking at multimedia for their idol's.

Yes my grandad was in the desert but bravery and heroes seemed to be everywhere at that time.

My dad was in a reservered occupation, never seen action, but by 1960 in the Cocked Hat pub, listening to him at the bar, he had was in, and escaped from Colditz!. It was hard for people doing vital jobs, but had no tails to tell. but the people who served deserve any congratulations, the whole of Europe want to show.

My dad was a pilot in the fleet air arms on board HMS arc royal. The only thing he would talk about was how they were torpedoed and sunk in the med not long after they sunk the bismark. There’s a photo of him on the wall in the arc royal pub in well’s next the sea. Threw his medals in Portsmouth harbour after de mod. My father in law was in the 14th grenadier ss division. He didn’t get any medals.

My dad was an orphan at five
Lost his parents and then three sisters to TB
his eldest sister bought him up and by the time war broke out he was working for the Railway
Signed up immediately and went to Egypt, worked his way back from there through italy.
