7.) 14 Aug 2015 14:31:14
Just found out that because Sherwood is a American brown bear his international clearance hasn't come through yet so he'll be sitting in the stand with Pinillos.

8.) 14 Aug 2015 14:35:42
Under FFP, I know Forest can pay £10 per hour but will a loan fee scupper the deal?

9.) 14 Aug 2015 15:20:25
Finally we get someone on the pitch who gives a damn!

Well done Fawaz, I'm sure you had no part in it or we'd have Carlton the camel.

10.) 14 Aug 2015 16:58:28
Robin Hood Is one of the best known icons in the whole wide world so it really makes sense to swop hi for some silly made up bear, no one outside the city ground has heard of ,another own goal

For all you constant moaners, how about putting this side out against Weds in a 3-5-2 formation:
DeVries
Lichaj, Manciene, Cohen.
Mendes, Lansbury, Williams, Reid, Osborne.
Assombalonga, Fryatt.

Then spend some cash on quality subs. Dougie might have done better. oops are we missing something!
Give the guy a break.

balancedview

1.) 01 Nov 2015 09:18:19
Yes that's a great line up only doughie would play assombogola and fryatt in defence because he doesn't know how to play strikers.

2.) 01 Nov 2015 09:22:36
3 wins since march . I think he's had enough slack cut as it is.16 points from 66 and he needs a break? time to act now before we really are in the poo and it's another mission impossible to stay up.
11 goals in 14 games players out of positions not playing williams not playing his perfect strike partnership up top. playing the midfield to deep, blaming defeats on the kids.
And he needs a break!

3.) 01 Nov 2015 09:31:12
There's one player in that lineup that could be used but df isn't using him and he's the most creative player we have and that's williams.

4.) 01 Nov 2015 09:40:12
UTF
Thought it might be you first to respond.
What team are you putting out against Preston and in what formation, using the squad available to him yesterday, Williams and Osborne not fully fit.

5.) 01 Nov 2015 10:03:49
I wasn't the first to respond to be fair.
I don't no who is fit and who isn't fit so it's irrelevant who I would pick as they may be injured.
What I would of done yesterday is play a youth player at right back in stead of mills (mills is a liability, more than Wilson) i would of made the midfield push on to help out the strikers who actually would of been walker and oliviera. its hard for two players to score goals when the midfield is 30yards behind them. and I defo wouldn't of bought williams and osborn (correct spelling) on and played them on the wings, they are both better in the middle, again needed someone further up the pitch to help the strikers who are feeding off nothing because the midfield are so far away. the midfield is redundant as the defenders smash it up to the strikers the strikers lose it because there's nobody to lay it off to. that's not the players that's how they are being set up.

6.) 01 Nov 2015 13:41:16
UTF
I said from the squad available yesterday so you should know (correct spelling) . Again then, what team would you have put out, easy to whine on!

24 Oct 2015 16:17:35
How can you possibly say that is a cautious line up! Trotter and Vaughan to hold, Ipswich are strong, the other four are all forward thinking players. With the choices he has that is a decent side. Where's Keeno when we need him?

balancedview

1.) 24 Oct 2015 16:30:04
Ipswich are strong? What league you watching?

2.) 24 Oct 2015 16:33:55
Df said we put burnley to the sword playing 4-4-2 with two up top he then changes to a 5 man midfield with 1 up top. how has that gone for him so far. the man is a joke.

3.) 24 Oct 2015 16:37:21
Ipswich are a consistently strong difficult side to beat and have been for several years, any MM team will be physical and well organised Too many folk on here think you don't need to show any respect to the opposition.

4.) 24 Oct 2015 16:55:45
They are struggling like us and we are at home what respect should we show?2 points dropped today, we should be beating them at home.

5.) 24 Oct 2015 17:03:20
They have been beat 4 times this season in 12 matches. hardly hard to beat.
12 home games 1 win 3 draws and 8 loses 6 points from last 36 home games!

6.) 24 Oct 2015 17:11:40
It is a game we should be winning I do agree, unless the players can hit the target we are not going to win, I don't see that Dougie can be blamed for the players lack of ability to put the ball away and sadly I don't see where he will find the answer.

7.) 24 Oct 2015 17:28:20
When your shooting from outside the box because you can't penetrate the opponents defence it's always going to be hard to score more than one goal a game. imo we shouldn't be showing teams like Ipswich respect we should show them nothing and go for them.
What do you do, get rid now so the new manager gets a couple of games under his belt before we play the sheep or let dougie run past the derby game where we could be in the bottom three?

8.) 24 Oct 2015 17:56:05
From following the game via the commentary on Radio Nottingham it seems like we ran just about the whole game so I think these panicky comments are unreasonable. Ipswich got one break to score and in the end so did we though we set up a lot more half chances, but we can't fault the players today they all worked hard. With Benny back to create more in midfield and big Trot holding the midfield for us we ought to get a few wins.Changing managers all the time will not help to build a settled team.

9.) 24 Oct 2015 18:48:44
Some fans are living in cuckoo land, if you think DF is going to turn things around, if so why wait, 1 he constantly changes the team so the players don't no where there at, explains why no one can score a goal, 2 yes in the last two games players have shown better performances with 2 draws, 3 if you really think another month in charge will make a difference because we have trotter dream on, yes he got us a point today, I can't see DF winning another game in the next month, so we will be right down there by then, Fawaz its hard sacking another manager but you need to do what's required before we are looking into the abyss of league 1.

20 Sep 2015 17:53:20
Carlo, you need to forget MA, if he prefers to warm the bench in the premiership that's fine, letting him go has created the opportunity to bring some quality players in. We look a more balanced side and whilst I agree at this level he was good we now have more options.

Why bash Vaughan and Wilson?
Vaughan has been outstanding and Wilson has looked solid, he got his head to the ball which is better than standing watching, sadly he was stretching and could not direct it but he tried and that's what we need.
Both full backs looking good. A player of Lansburys quality should not need to hit it down the middle, poor penalty but a good captains performance.

balancedview

1.) 20 Sep 2015 11:03:53
Yes Wilson made a mistake but if de vries grew some he would of got to the ball before Ayala,de vries is a good keeper and a good shot stopper but he doesn't command his area very well.he seems glued to his line when the ball is in the air.

2.) 20 Sep 2015 12:02:34
First half Wilson made one or two mistakes but got better the longer the game went on. Overall we played very well and against a lesser team we would have won comfortably. We were very unlucky to lose that game. Oliveira and O'Grady looked a threat. Oliviera's movement and positoning were good and O'Grady held the ball up well. I would give the penalties to O'Grady as he used to take them for Barnsley and looks more of a natural. Jamie Ward should be on set pieces too as Lansbury's free kicks are wayward. Vaughan works his socks off and rarely gives the ball aware. i'm gutted we lost that game as we didn't deserve to and i believe it could have been the catalyst for a good unbeaten run. i'm optimistic we can improve further the more the new guys settle in and can have a good season!

3.) 20 Sep 2015 14:40:41
Vaughan has been the player we thought we bought two years ago and has been a revelation this year. Long may it continue. DF is going to be spoilt by the choices he has in midfield. Williams is a class act, like Ramsey was when he came to us. I can see that Wilson is a player who can be a bit risky at times, but if DF shows confidence in him then he will be less inclined to take those risks. Our attacking play can be our best form of defence and that is beginning to look so much better.

12 Sep 2015 20:28:20
where are all the usual contributors to this site?
DF showed he knows how to play and how to make decisions to change a game.

1.) 12 Sep 2015 21:32:37
Balanced view,

We've won one game against ten men, hardly the catalyst to hang draw and quarter those who have questioned the managers capability having overseen a team that has performed poorly for a while. To be honest if you think that if respectfully suggest you change your name to unbalanced view.

I'd give it a few more games if I were you before you hold your fellow fans to account.

A great win for the club and its fans today though.

2.) 12 Sep 2015 22:11:36
Hear hear. Most only come out to play to moan! The silence is deafening but then we won, the newbees did good and DF out coached "the best young coach in the country"!
So what have we got to moan about?

3.) 13 Sep 2015 09:15:17
Great result and a descent team performance.the new lads did well and we looked solid at the back but apart from the lichaj chance we didn't really create any clear chances until the sending off and we didn't look like score ing before then.but that said you can't moan about the score line and what I did like was that after going 1-2 up we still attacked, normally we would sit back and hold on.with the new additions plus reid,Cohen, fryatt,Britt, tesche and osborn (not in the squad) to come back we look like we could make a push with those players coming back.fully fit those injured players would get into most teams in the championship.
Call fawaz all you like he has given managers what they want and even in the embargo we have a cracking squad that could challenge this season!

4.) 13 Sep 2015 10:35:05
Uptheforest

Talk about over react.

One minute Df is a rubbish manager, and going back to last season we are on a long run of bad results.

The next minute we beat QPR at their place, and we could make the play offs.

What a turn around.

Dougie for me. If not then Jokanovic will have to do.
Sad day but we don't know the reasons and never will, maybe it suits both sides with a hint that Madrid won't have to pay compo now.
Thankyou AK, we would have been in league one this season without the massive team rebuild 12 months ago and a premier team in a little over 12 months time, Good luck with your next challenge.
Lets see how long it takes for the daggers to come out with whoever the new guy is.

I was there yesterday, due to some ticketing issues and friends in London ended up sitting with Chelsea fans. Congrats to my travelling friends you made a good show and out sang the locals. Talking before, during and after the game the Chelsea fans were grateful that the reds didn't just sit back but tried to make a game of it and thanked us for a clean honest effort. The thing that sticks in my mind is saying you can see the difference, premier league do not give the ball away. On the right track for now but realistically only Yacob, Colback, Carvalho and Darikwa didn't look out of place. I think that maybe Yacob is the answer in central defence, looked quality and composed on the ball. Great effort all round but never going to trouble a very expensive side.

It was gutting to give 2 away in stoppage time, it happens though, but a point at Norwich is a good result overall. The drive home was very quiet.
To start calling for the managers head now is crazy, that will get them nowhere as proved on many occasions in the past. 3pts off the play off spots. Another 12 months and it will be a different story.

There were 9 poor non portuguese players out there so let's not blame them everytime. Dias was the only threat and covered every blade of grass, only player worthy of his place.

They have already said that a striker was a priority but couldn't land one in time. Campbell is not the answer and Hooper will spend most of the season injured. Only need to bring one in if it is an improvement and there are not many proven goalscorers that would be available. The loan market will bring someone in.

Hearsay then is the basis of your opinion?
Semedo is quality I will agree.
Didn't look bothered first half? utter tosh, they defended for their lives and very well against a top side. Yes a lucky point but you take them, stats? well who cares they don't tell the story it's points that count. Another forward would be good I do agree but Grabban is taking far too much stick in the lone role, he put a real shift in, can't say the same for armchair fans favourite Lolley. Silva has real quality just like Carvo, but if my memory is correct Carvo was getting a bashing twelve months ago. How time changes opinions eh?

Spot on, the new boys will get up to speed over the next month or two, Grabban getting too much stick for playing the lone striker.
