Jake Taylor heading back from Port Vale ,lots of good reports from Valiant fans .
Could he be the next off the line, save some money ,got to be better than some recent signings .

1.) 24 May 2020 12:04:16
My Mrs son is from Stoke and her lad follows Port Vale. They would keep him if they could. Apparently he might not fit our system so would need to alter his game but is good enough to play at a higher level given time.

Jake Taylor returned from Port Vale ,their fans are raving about him ,could be another off the production line .

We know we're going to need a striker in Jan. and the name Assombalonga has been mentioned but they say never go back, but I would go back, back to Peterborough for Ivan Toney

1.) 06 Oct 2019 08:54:22
Or Mo Eisa, both already on 9 goals a piece.
To be honest in terms of a striker signing I’d be tempted to recall Tyler Walker at Xmas and give the lad a go.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 10:32:51
Yes Perks, he banged two in again yesterday. Surprised we sent him out with the lack of strikers at the club now.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 13:20:33
Deserves a go. He goes out on loan and scores goals. can't ask anymore really. Different type of player to Mir as well.

4.) 08 Oct 2019 19:40:13
Gary hooper is available on a free transfer. wouldn’t be a bad signing on a deal until the end of the season. when fit can score goals at this level.

01 Sep 2019 16:38:36
Appiah gone 8m

1.) 01 Sep 2019 17:20:57
Gone to whom? Big money but too late to spend it til Jan.

2.) 01 Sep 2019 18:11:59
Being reported that Almeria, Spanish second division side have tabled an 8m bid.

3.) 01 Sep 2019 22:50:08
Doubt Appiah will move.

4.) 02 Sep 2019 05:52:54
Don’t think he’s got much choice on the matter.

5.) 02 Sep 2019 08:59:23
Sure he has a choice, if he doesn't want to move to Spain he doesn't have to go, utter nonsense.

6.) 02 Sep 2019 10:12:20
Im sure he'll want the £800,000 player signing on fee and the £28,000 a week wages that's been offered,

Money and Spain or Nottingham? He needs to really think this one through don't he?

7.) 02 Sep 2019 11:47:48
True, but still his choice to accept.

8.) 03 Sep 2019 10:38:30
Darren. I lived and worked as a goalkeeper coach in Spain for four years mate.
It's not all it's cracked up to be.
Very racist and I'm white. I hope Arvin has got a thick skin.

25 Jun 2019 11:03:42
A name that might be added to the assistant manager role should be ex Notts county assistant Richard Thomas, he is regarded by many inside football as a top coach and very apt with young lads.
Currently working at Watford bet MON is aware of his talents.

1.) 25 Jun 2019 13:34:06
I was thinking who MON might go for but most of his pear group have retired or his old pro's are in decent manager jobs.
It would be great if he gets some young up and coming quality coach in but if he reverts to type then expect him to pick up the phone to Gary Mills or Henrik Larsson?

2.) 25 Jun 2019 15:27:13
Richard Thomas? ? Surely he is a bit of a Dick

3.) 25 Jun 2019 15:48:01
Does he have a brother called John?

4.) 25 Jun 2019 17:37:43
"Terry" Thomas "Blaaasst!!"

5.) 25 Jun 2019 20:35:05
Has he got a sister called whoopi

6.) 26 Jun 2019 08:48:18
Well its a plum job

7.) 26 Jun 2019 20:54:51
Carlo if you read that back I'm sure youd have worded that a bit different

29 May 2020 12:46:03
Hot a couple of songs going round in my head,When we get behind closed doors ,Charlie Rich and Durham Town Roger Whittacker ,can,t get rid !

1.) 29 May 2020 13:54:04
Whatever you do, don't mention "Durham" to Dominic Cummings mate!

2.) 29 May 2020 22:23:22
Football is done for me unles i can go to watch it and have a laugh and a joke with the lads.
Got no interest in behind closed doors games.
Football is all about the fans and the passion without that you have nothing just apractice training session.
No fans then forget football.

3.) 29 May 2020 23:00:11
Totally agree 79 no fans no point. Watching the german league on tv no fans no atmosphere so can't see the point in playing.

4.) 30 May 2020 12:06:44
FF, I agree with you mate, not that we didn’t know this anyway but this finally affirms that fans are meaningless . TV and money are the crux of football not fans . It’s sad where it has all ended up really but sport has been ruined by money and the ensuing greed.

5.) 30 May 2020 21:55:22
Spot on 2 star.
Same with horse racing 2 biggest gambling sports get the green loght.

6.) 30 May 2020 23:12:34
Fff79 plenty of jobs to be concerned about in the racing industry mate, it needed to get going again, it’s quite a big industry and employer, not all about toffs at Royal ascot,

7.) 31 May 2020 15:15:44
I suspect that to most premier league CEOs fans are just a bloody nuisance.

8.) 31 May 2020 19:48:15
Stevie, you’re right mate, big circular economy around os racing. FF is right though gambling and sky have pushed this decision .

9.) 31 May 2020 20:45:21
The way i look at it if we asked for summertime football, which has been proposed in the past, then it would not happen.
We have been told we can meet in groups of six from tomorrow in open spaces or gardens.
How does football become the exception?
Money and gambling nothing else.
You have at least one hundred people getting together and in a contact sport, while the rest of us have to stick to stricter rules.
Sorry its not on for me, its simply one rule for one and another for the elite.
If its safe for them to play football then it should be safe for me to go into my builders merchants without having to preorder and get a slot, after all its just one person not two football teams referees linesmen physio doctors coaches mangers and tv.
Football without fans won't succeed so i won't be watching a game on tv with no atmosphere.
I'll start watching when fans are allowed again i have no interest otherwise.
Cant sit in a pub garden even think people who don't like football will be angry that they have been given the go ahead with so many still dying and being infected.

23 May 2020 15:32:45
If season ticket holders are given the choice of money back for final games or donate it to the club what would you do?

1.) 23 May 2020 23:33:33
Im ok with donating my last few games to the club.
I want my £480 back for next season as there's no chance of watching from my seat.
Emailed the club asking for a refund but no response.
Im not interested in football being played behind closed doors i'm a fan who wants to watch it in a stadium not on a tv screen with no atmosphere.

2.) 24 May 2020 06:11:41
I'm with you on that one Ff79. They can keep the money for the last few but not for 20 or 23 (whichever league we're in) matches for next season that I, like yourself and others, have already paid for. But I can't see any refunds happening any time soon if at all.

3.) 24 May 2020 07:56:27
Psycho- Clough, What makes you think you’ll never get a refund? If the season doesn’t go ahead or is played behind closed doors you are almost certain (99.9%) to get a refund (either from the club or your form of payment)

21 May 2020 19:44:33
Two of footballs hardest men were exReds Pearce and Keane ,who would come out on top in a rumble?

1.) 21 May 2020 20:00:56
Burns and or Lloyd would have mullered both of them, possibly at the same time,

2.) 21 May 2020 23:10:10
They wernt just hard they were very good footballers.
When was the last time you saw a left back score double figures goal wise?
Keane was a leader saw danger but also saw an opportunity to attack .
Two of the very best in their positions.
Hard? your not allowed to be anymore they just played the game to the rules that applied at the time.

3.) 22 May 2020 15:56:39
Robert Rosrario for me!

4.) 22 May 2020 15:56:58
Watched some you tube of Kenny b scoring goals for brum as a striker, he wasn’t bad either, !

5.) 22 May 2020 20:00:09
We didn’t get the delight of seeing a fully blossomed Keane in the same team as Pearce, how different things might have been had we had retained and signed the following as our spine : Sherringham, Collymore, Pearce, Walker, Cooper, Clough, Bohenien. It’s not fanciful it could have easily happened. Clough was on the brink of building another great team, the players Clark signed had all been identified by Clough’s scouts . He lost the plot and that’s that I guess, we will never know why he didn’t see the trouble we were in much sooner . I’ve heard many times his staff begged him to sign Collymore but he refused to pay the money Southend wanted. Huge shame .

6.) 22 May 2020 23:06:07
It was the drink my friend and i love one myself so can't say its wrong.
We all have our demons munes a drink like cloughie.
Ive watched all my loved ones pass away with dementia and I'd rather enjoy life and what it brings
If the drink kills me then so be it, don't want to be a burden to my family.
With this lockdown I've understood what it can be like to wake up have no job and have a beer at 12
Put too much weight on sitting in the garden lost a stone in three weeks by being allowed to move and having something to do.
Lockdown with the sun out and nothing to do is a very bad place for me to be.

7.) 23 May 2020 09:23:40
My daughter was furloughed, and things got on top of her. I'm so glad the fact that she can tell me anything, and not keep it bottled up. just like the that old Pretenders song, "Nothing you confess, will make me love you less. I'll stand by you "

8.) 23 May 2020 12:12:42
Such a great thing to be able to pass onto your children Rogie - you can buy all the gifts money can buy but the ability to be able to just talk is priceless 👍.

9.) 23 May 2020 18:30:42
100% Mate. I'm no expert, however we all have to just try to do our best don't we, the fact that she does, is a big thing for me.

10.) 23 May 2020 22:46:00
Lots of respect rogie if only people like you could talk out to others there's a lot of people out there that just need to talk and sometimes it's the hardest thing to do.

11.) 24 May 2020 12:50:02
Cheers mate, hope your ok, I'll get over one day, and it will make our get together with you and 2 Star, and whoever else fancies it all the more sweeter.

07 May 2020 12:26:56
Thought V E day was later in May ,wasn,t it when we beat Malmo and Hamburg?

1.) 07 May 2020 18:33:58
Nice one mate!

2.) 09 May 2020 19:17:12
You have to feel sorry for Christian Erikkson lads. the poor thing has to spend Lock Down at his new club Inter Milans training complex. and has to make do with running around his no doubt pretty average car to keep fit. 😭😭😭😭.

3.) 11 May 2020 17:44:37
Waaaay too quiet on here lads!
Hope everyone's staying safe!

02 May 2020 17:04:50
Just been listening to the Yeovil game ,2008 on radio Nottm ,the last time we won promotion ,the fans were in tremendous form and it,s remarkable how we,ve stuck by the club ,shows what a great set of fans the reds have so loyal despite our lack of success,we deserve something soon !

Hearing and reading interveiws with players I haven't heard one who subliminally sounds as if they want to resume until it is absolutely safe to do so ,this is a deadly virus and is scaring everyone !

I always thought the John Sheridan fiasco was the start of things, there as no better replacement for Webb but Sir Brian's stance on him seemed to unbalance the team.
Sheridan had proved himself at Leeds and continued at Sheffield W .
I thought another championship side cpuld have been built around him with the talent we had !
