We know we're going to need a striker in Jan. and the name Assombalonga has been mentioned but they say never go back, but I would go back, back to Peterborough for Ivan Toney

1.) 06 Oct 2019 08:54:22
Or Mo Eisa, both already on 9 goals a piece.
To be honest in terms of a striker signing I’d be tempted to recall Tyler Walker at Xmas and give the lad a go.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 10:32:51
Yes Perks, he banged two in again yesterday. Surprised we sent him out with the lack of strikers at the club now.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 13:20:33
Deserves a go. He goes out on loan and scores goals. can't ask anymore really. Different type of player to Mir as well.

4.) 08 Oct 2019 19:40:13
Gary hooper is available on a free transfer. wouldn’t be a bad signing on a deal until the end of the season. when fit can score goals at this level.

01 Sep 2019 16:38:36
Appiah gone 8m

1.) 01 Sep 2019 17:20:57
Gone to whom? Big money but too late to spend it til Jan.

2.) 01 Sep 2019 18:11:59
Being reported that Almeria, Spanish second division side have tabled an 8m bid.

3.) 01 Sep 2019 22:50:08
Doubt Appiah will move.

4.) 02 Sep 2019 05:52:54
Don’t think he’s got much choice on the matter.

5.) 02 Sep 2019 08:59:23
Sure he has a choice, if he doesn't want to move to Spain he doesn't have to go, utter nonsense.

6.) 02 Sep 2019 10:12:20
Im sure he'll want the £800,000 player signing on fee and the £28,000 a week wages that's been offered,

Money and Spain or Nottingham? He needs to really think this one through don't he?

7.) 02 Sep 2019 11:47:48
True, but still his choice to accept.

8.) 03 Sep 2019 10:38:30
Darren. I lived and worked as a goalkeeper coach in Spain for four years mate.
It's not all it's cracked up to be.
Very racist and I'm white. I hope Arvin has got a thick skin.

25 Jun 2019 11:03:42
A name that might be added to the assistant manager role should be ex Notts county assistant Richard Thomas, he is regarded by many inside football as a top coach and very apt with young lads.
Currently working at Watford bet MON is aware of his talents.

1.) 25 Jun 2019 13:34:06
I was thinking who MON might go for but most of his pear group have retired or his old pro's are in decent manager jobs.
It would be great if he gets some young up and coming quality coach in but if he reverts to type then expect him to pick up the phone to Gary Mills or Henrik Larsson?

2.) 25 Jun 2019 15:27:13
Richard Thomas? ? Surely he is a bit of a Dick

3.) 25 Jun 2019 15:48:01
Does he have a brother called John?

4.) 25 Jun 2019 17:37:43
"Terry" Thomas "Blaaasst!!"

5.) 25 Jun 2019 20:35:05
Has he got a sister called whoopi

6.) 26 Jun 2019 08:48:18
Well its a plum job

7.) 26 Jun 2019 20:54:51
Carlo if you read that back I'm sure youd have worded that a bit different

16 Apr 2019 09:05:23
With the large amount of overseas signings and loanees we have made, many of poor quality, the main gainers have been the usual suspects - Agents.
British signings, scouted by our own scouts would surely have been much better value for money and a much better team would have resulted!

1.) 16 Apr 2019 09:50:11
Carlo, That is the trouble with having managers over the years not up to the task, or the clubs bosses either interfering, or not giving managers the time needed. Foreign does not equal rubbish, but just as some English players are rubbish so are some Foreign players.

2.) 19 Apr 2019 19:35:25
Can we kidnap villas coaching staff for o Neil, not sure what kean is doing to be honest I thought with the two of them we might at least see some movement of the ball and better passing if the team we gave ain't up to drop the lot of em play the under 23 rest of season can't really do us any harm

11 Jan 2019 14:32:34
From inside the club the deal is already done ,as been for a while, clue he,s not British.

1.) 11 Jan 2019 14:43:23
Leonardo Jardim

2.) 11 Jan 2019 15:26:34
They should be looking at Martin O'Neil and Roy Keane someone who knows the history and also knows what the fans demand and deserve.

3.) 11 Jan 2019 15:27:08

4.) 11 Jan 2019 15:41:35
Really, so why is it he is not managing against Reading, and indeed why has he not been put in place when he was first signed.?

5.) 11 Jan 2019 15:41:47
His win ratio at Olyimpiacos was 72% and Marinakis sacked him when they were TEN points clear at the top of the league. Hmmmmm!

6.) 11 Jan 2019 15:53:05
Sgetty, Are you having a laugh?

Does that mean he was a trouble maker, with that win ration you would be offering him a longer contract on more money.

7.) 11 Jan 2019 16:02:09
Jardim by the way

8.) 11 Jan 2019 16:14:12
He's been giving a rolling game by game contract, lose one and your out. I find it strange he would work for Maranakis again, unless he likes the pay offs? Underwhelmed, glad to be proved wrong.

9.) 11 Jan 2019 17:15:28
As stated below Jardim for me as he is versatile in his formations.
Martin O'Niell would be great if he parted ways with Roy Keane.
We need motivator not a bully

10.) 11 Jan 2019 17:42:01
Jardim as got no championship experience so not him I hope. Jokanovic is best bet.

11.) 11 Jan 2019 17:58:13
RA, i do not remember the Leeds manager having been at any other Championship Club.

12.) 11 Jan 2019 18:41:00
Dougie for me. If not then Jokanovic will have to do.
Sad day but we don't know the reasons and never will, maybe it suits both sides with a hint that Madrid won't have to pay compo now.
Thankyou AK, we would have been in league one this season without the massive team rebuild 12 months ago and a premier team in a little over 12 months time, Good luck with your next challenge.
Lets see how long it takes for the daggers to come out with whoever the new guy is.

13.) 11 Jan 2019 21:44:03
Klopp and pep had no premier experience either, not too shabby all said🤔🤔
Just like to see a manager who adds some flair.

14.) 11 Jan 2019 21:29:52
Jardim was touted for Real Madrid / Man United and arsenal

If and it’s a big IF we got him then that would be unbelievable

Top coach in Europe land for sure is LJ

15.) 12 Jan 2019 10:36:56
What is the fascination with ex players? Martin O'Neil? Have you seen his teams of late? Boring yawn-fest of football. I for one love our history but let's move forward not backwards!

18 Oct 2019 10:16:51
Would you play JC on Sunday ?
Is this the sort of fixture for him to shine and with it being on TV a chance for more reds fans to see him away?

1.) 18 Oct 2019 13:13:48
I would play him in the reserves but that's just me 😁🤔.

2.) 18 Oct 2019 13:57:15
Was thinking of renting a house off Ex Forest Front man Dexter Blackstock?
Thoughts fellow 'Trickies'?

04 Oct 2019 09:51:42
Well it,s back on the (big) wheel tomorrow ,don,t think it will be a cakewalk, hope to see Lolley waltzer round them and Grabban to hit the bullseye, yes I,m hoping for a fair result !

1.) 04 Oct 2019 11:59:23
lets hope the little magician can do the business and not make himself disappear, I think SL will juggle the starting eleven and dodgem to get a result.

2.) 04 Oct 2019 12:46:45
Think someones lost his coconut. 🤣🤣🤣.

3.) 04 Oct 2019 18:06:12
Like anywhere else in life, on here you get no where being Shy!

4.) 04 Oct 2019 19:59:29
Let's just hope it's not too much of a rollercoaster.

5.) 04 Oct 2019 20:05:42
Let's hope we don't get goosed!

6.) 04 Oct 2019 23:14:08
Let's just hope the Lamouchi hasn't had a tipple of what you lot have had otherwise the players will be thinking there in Disneyland Paris with the team talk.
Can just see it now the team are awaiting instructions and sabri says
We're on the big wheel and brentford have some useful tinkerbells but don't worry lads they are in the enchanted forest and its us that's flying high 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

02 Oct 2019 19:17:25
Quigly,Barnwell ,Gemmill,Hodge,Majesski, all small MFielders with a pass and a goal in them ,but all highly tenacious!

1.) 02 Oct 2019 19:41:21
But is the player you are very thinly referring to Tenacious enough at the moment.

2.) 02 Oct 2019 20:38:14
The pole was never tenacious had one good season and faded away.

3.) 02 Oct 2019 21:17:24
Mixing apples and oranges with your midfield pick Carlo.

It's strange how no -one praises JC when he chases back from the half way line to block a pass from his marker for a corner after a poor ball from the back breaks the play down?

The whole team needs to improve on retaining the ball in possession for JC or any of your past idols to flourish!

Why is it Forest fans have to have a whipping boy? Oh sorry I forgot we sold Little Benny!

4.) 02 Oct 2019 21:44:38
Red I just don't get the negative vibes on here?
Best start for years building a new team with a new coach?
Missed semedo last night as he would have caused Blackburn problems with his pace even if off the bench.
Cant see anything to be worried about? Worrall and cash have come on leaps and bounds and will just get better, we are stronger heads don't drop when we go a goal behind but the likes of fred want champagne football because the nail painters can't deal with the jagged edges🤣🤣🤣🤣.

5.) 02 Oct 2019 22:06:55
Ff got to say that’s a bit rich coming from you, when karanka had a team in and around the top 6, you never stopped moaning about the quality of the entertainment on offer, so do me a favour.

6.) 02 Oct 2019 22:22:37
Not champagne football 79, not enough good players in the squad for that. Just the ability to string a few passes together late in games to ease the pressure a bit when we're holding on to valuable points.
Your a good one to talk about negative vibes! Since you changed your name you seem to have undergone a personality transplant along with it🤣. Victor the negative into Mr positive overnight and now your calling posters who even hint at any negativity. Your on your high horse like an ex smoker and they're the worst kind.

7.) 02 Oct 2019 22:39:58
At least I've got you lot to post again as dead on a door nail before😁😁😁.

8.) 02 Oct 2019 22:46:12
Fred I doubt anything would please you when we are top two just don't get too upset, when you live in deepshit Derbyshire it's always going to give you a negative spin on things unless you are in heaven knocking a cyclist off his bike 🤔🤣🤣🍺🍺🥂🥂.

9.) 02 Oct 2019 22:50:30
Lads whatever you do don't kick a football badly while riding a bike and smoking a fag in burton, red fred don't like it as he don't like our football even though we are in the top six🤣🤣🤣🤣.

10.) 02 Oct 2019 22:51:01
🤣 79. I too am looking forward to Saturday. Usually entertaining games against The Bees as they only know how to play one way and that's on the front foot.
Will be a tough game as they can give anyone a hiding on their day but the way they play offers teams chances if their good enough to take them.
Think we're going to have to score at least 2 to win the game as cannot see them not scoring.

11.) 02 Oct 2019 22:51:47
Well sorry but I'm sticking to being a moaner as far as jc is concerned he's had plenty of time to adjust longer than semedo and sow that look and can handle this league a lot better than jc and don't usually agree with red Fred but the passing and giving away the ball is poor but as 79 said best start in ages great gaffer it will take time for me jc will never be worth his money hopefully we can build now bring another decent striker in new year the defence looks solid now great goalie so all in all on the up but still some way to go be another tough game this weekend against a team that can pass the ball well counter well so digging in deep again but would be nice to see the ball being played in the other half more and a bit more possession 😁.

12.) 02 Oct 2019 22:55:39
Stevie, Clifton boys work it out?
This is the season mate it's got all the right hallmarks.

13.) 02 Oct 2019 23:07:43
Skeggs it's a win mate and JC will come good, time to enjoy the good times, its a bit like ok it's not always pretty but I go to every game confident that we will deliver a result, its that simple karanka never offered us that as we had two holders in Watson and colback who had no pace between them now we have sow who has twice the pace of colback and always said that's why he doesn't play for a premier side.
We have semedo who has pace as well, its something so important in modern football.
We'll get promoted this season very confident in that a striker or two will arrive in Jan to push us that bit further and take the worry of injury to grabban away.

14.) 02 Oct 2019 23:26:37
79 I don't disagree with you mate the team looks good but we are missing another decent striker nobody can argue that one but if we can get through to new year with grabbon in tact and then add another great the passing could be better but time will help I would like to see us in the other half a bit more and more possession but again time will always disagree with you about jc he belongs in Europe not this league he's not a championship player and far from being a Premier league one and Brentford definitely will be a hard test much harder than Blackburn anyway we're all happy results are going our way but it could be better and hopefully after time with the same manager in charge and the same team we can only get better 🍻😁.

15.) 03 Oct 2019 07:04:31
Ff I ain’t moaning mate lol just wondering where the difference is between ak’s set up is and Sabri’s? Both managers teams grid out results, but one you didn’t like for some reason? Jc won’t come good because he hasn’t got it, the occasional decent pass and then being a passenger for 85 mins isn’t good enough, someone put a list of midfielders up earlier small but tenacious, but missed off the great Archie gemmill, Jc wouldn't make that list because those players were much better than him. And I said on here during pre season, if we played silva and Jc together physical championship teams would run straight through us , so it proved the last 20 mins at Blackburn.

16.) 03 Oct 2019 07:18:19
Alot more pace and strength in sabris side stevie and he won't spit his dummy out like karanka.
When he gets lolley Albert carvahlo semedo and bostock to find some form then I think we will see us more positive at the moment natty cash is causing a lot of the danger with his excellent running and crosses.
Under karanka we had colback alongside Watson and we were too pedestrian because of it.

17.) 03 Oct 2019 09:26:09
Ff You have a point with the Watson colback combo mate.

18.) 03 Oct 2019 09:38:59
Carlo sorry mate you did list the great Archie gemmill lol trip to spec savers required for me!

19.) 03 Oct 2019 10:12:31
Has Sow really got twice the pace of Colback and that's why it's now ok to play 2 holding midfielders?
I must have been getting Sow and Ameobi mixed up all this time then 🤔.

20.) 03 Oct 2019 10:59:40
Anyone has more pace than colback that's the big flaw with him not to mention his bad disciplinary record.

21.) 03 Oct 2019 11:12:10
Red Fred, just read the personality transplant bit, psml, happy days:)

22.) 03 Oct 2019 11:28:25
True 79 Colback did pick up a lot of yellows but Sow will not be much of an improvement in that department. 4 bookings in 6 league starts and 2 substitute appearances.

23.) 03 Oct 2019 12:24:59
Ginger do you have anything to say about forest or do you just come on here to take the pee out of people just asking as i don't see you mentioning a lot about the team mind you i don't think i'd be interested in anything you had to say on forest anyway 😆.

24.) 03 Oct 2019 13:04:41
I quite like it having a little ginger troll skeggs 😁😁😁.

25.) 03 Oct 2019 16:38:46
Sow will pick up more yellows than colback, it comes with the roll they play,

26.) 03 Oct 2019 16:49:09
Read the rumour page I did post on there, if you 2 guys didn't contradict yourselves so much and then give it the big one that you've been behind the manager, DOF and players from the start I wouldn't, you just don't like being called out on it, I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Just for ref, 'personality transfer' I didn't say it, just commented it made me laugh you old woman. :) .

27.) 03 Oct 2019 17:24:23
And you dont?
Think you'll find life one big contradiction.

28.) 03 Oct 2019 17:27:17

29.) 03 Oct 2019 19:33:56
Red Fred
We have been set up to play a flexible 4-1-4-1 with Watson holding when we are in possession. Sow is more box to box and fills in. Please cheer up and celebrate our more expansive football? 🤔😁.

30.) 03 Oct 2019 23:10:27
I don't recall seeing Sow in the oppositions box much at all so far this season and if what we've been playing so far is expansive football then my understanding of the term is completely wrong.
Apart from all this I'm more than happy with results, being hard to beat and our league position 🤗.

31.) 04 Oct 2019 07:28:42
Played some very good football at Swansea fred and should have won by more,

30 Sep 2019 23:24:01
It,s now October here in Espainia ,really big month for us ,let's start well against two B,s

1.) 01 Oct 2019 08:29:04
I bet you the weather is better there Carlo. It's peeing it down here.

Oh well, cycling to work is a lot like winning the title. Hard days and sunny days but at least we will get there!

2.) 01 Oct 2019 11:20:39
Funnily enough it’s October here in Britannia as well. 😀.

30 Sep 2019 10:37:55
Hope the dreaded MOTM dozen,t come SL,s way
Often the kiss of death.

1.) 30 Sep 2019 11:31:37
I hope he gets manager of the month every month for the rest of the season.

Davis would probably got us up if backed when we were 2nd in the league in Jan in his 1st spell .
In his last Jan window he had some right rubbish imposed on him .
Yes he was a loose cannon but nobody can deny his football was good ,have a poor first half second half guaranteed to be vast improvement .
As a man needed to be controlled to see the best of him but sadly didn,t always happen.
Would I ever have him back?
Under the right conditions Yes.

Like as been said wearing a poppy is to me neither religious or nationalistic just a mark of respect to the fallen and injured in various conflicts , plus nearly every family has had family involved in these conflicts, least we should forget and learn, nothing more.

If having a top hevey squad means selling your brightest young players then someone,s got it wrong !
Does nothing for the club and seems to ruin the player to me .
