We may not have the best squad in the Championship but we now have a squad of determined good characters who play as a team.

Thank you AK for turning us around and getting the basics sorted!

Win lose or draw we are are moving forward as a team.

Looking forward to your summer signings and getting some big lads in including my 6'5" centre half?

How frustrating I'm sure everybody in the league are trying as hard as possible to push the sheep into that 6th place with the form they have been in since the New Year
They should be well out of it!

Sticking with my 2-1 win prediction today. Wolves to clinch the title and Fulham and Millwall to go up because their players want it more!

Karanka will recruit these types for next season without breaking the bank.

Not for me thanks. Out on loan if they’re ready to step up. We’ve got enough learning their trade around the 1st team at the moment. Assess every single one of the senior pros for the next four games to inform the required clearout.

If we’ve got a young left back he looks tidy that’s worth a pop amd I’d be really supportive of that. we really need to sort that position now once and for all.

Wouldn't it be great if we could give a really good account of ourselves next season??? Two decent strikers, another good CB (not Dawson)
and who knows,we might just have something to cheer about!!! The foundations are there, despite an less than average season,at least most of us can have a laugh!!! Keep The Faith!! Uuuuu Reddddsss!!!

Not a regular poster but from the horses mouth. Possibly next week an announcement regarding the City Ground and training ground. Details not given but to me that has to be a new main stand.

some months ago forest submitted planning application to develop the main stand.
also club going through a massive audit at the moment since the arrival of the new Owen and a lot of financial inadequacies have been found

I would have thought that when the club was sold the new owners would have had a good look at the accounts.

Forza Garibaldi news letter seems to indicate there are plans a foot. Could be announced in a week or 6 months, obviously down to planning. Any investment in the City Ground is all good.👍

There are Accounts, and there are "other accounts" and there are always "hidden" accounts where bills and outgoings may not come in for a long time after they were first created, and not everyone might know about them.

Championship status secured thanks to Birmingham who now need 3 wins and a 15 goal difference turnaround to pip us.
Under Warbo's open defence this would be squeaky bum time again but as Karanka has got our goals against down to one a game you can put your house on Championship football next year.

Barnsley match is a dead rubber so maybe we should make it Matt Mills testimonial for his contribution to our improvement at the back?
Looking forward to the summer clearout and some more diehard signings.
Gone fishing.

Not just Birmingham, while mathematically possible, anyone who thinks that the 5 teams below us are all going to put together a run to overtake us needs their head examining.
It would, however, be nice for us to put a bit of a final push on to build up some confidence to go in to the closed season.
No doubt AK knows what he wants to do in the transfer window and I would imagine the owner will back him

talking of contracts didn’t your man give a 3 year contract to a 34 year old that can’t get fit?as a manager tats a poor decision but financially (warbos old job was in that sector) it’s an even worse decision.maybe that’s why he’s now not a banker or a manager.

Seen critcs of Ben Brereton out in force on some sites. Beyond me why. We are talking about a TEENAGER that is been asked to do the job of an experienced championship striker, playing up top on his own. BB is a long way from the finished article but he will get there for sure imo. Took massive responsability for the penalty and set up Lolley for a great winner. So I would say to the young man, well done keep giving your all for the club and ignore the critics because you have a big future at Forest. One bit of advice though Ben, cut out the diving, your better than that. U REDS.

For most of the time Ben's nearest link to other players is the 4 or 5 opposition defenders, with no sign of support from his own midfield. He has battled well for someone so young

15 Apr 2018 17:22:47
And once he’s better than six goals a season he’ll be gone anyway ! That’s life as a lowly championship team I’m afraid !

Agree3 4Disagree

15 Apr 2018 17:26:14
If you watch his runs, Brereton makes some great runs and in a team with more quality midfielders with vision and better passing range he would get 5-10 one on one chances a game where as generally he get one or two if any! I think his confidence hasn’t always been there this season but yesterday he put in a great performance and hopefully will get confidence from that. Brereton has huge potential and I still believe if we can bring in the right players next season he could be a 20 goal a season striker for sure. It is out midfield that needs improving. We need a play maker and some more forward thinking box to box players.

I agree a nervy match but the players that shone today and would be in my view in the squad next season Osborne ( def MoM today ) Lolley ( signing of the season ) Bereton ( best game since Arsenal today ) Watson, Bridcutt ( replaces Colback ) Fig, Fox, Cash, Abe

Worral
Eric
Adene.

Best game since Arsenal? He was awful. His constant diving finally paid off with the penalty which he took well but an inch to the right and it wouldn’t of gone in. Keeper had it covered. Finally made the right decision with his ball over to Lolly which I commend him for. Last five minutes made up for a very boring, lack lustre performance by the whole team.

15 Apr 2018 10:52:34
You should be a pundit bongo - if he had gone an inch to the right he wouldn’t have scored?? But he didn’t and he did score 👍 happy?

Agree11 0Disagree

15 Apr 2018 11:24:21
the penalty was not a dive the only shots there keeper had covered were the ones he saved and panto got his hand to there goal did he have it covered ?

15 Apr 2018 12:34:32
If had had gone an inch lower against Brentford we'd have been drooling o er a wonder goal.
Think Ben deserves more credit and having the bottle to take the pen,he wasn't letting anyone else have it.
Not easy being the lone striker in struggling side

Brereton is class. He is a kid still but his runs are excellent and this season he has added more physicality to his game. Strikers can’t score if they don’t get given the ball and he does not get given the ball in good positions enough and our midfield doesn’t see his runs. He also lost confidence at times this season due to lack of goals and service. Fans who expect a 19 year old to do better are deluded. Personally I expect more going forward from our experienced midfielders who between them have a lot of championship and premiership experience though Colback and Watson have no doubt helped to protect our defence, they should be able to hit 20 yard through balls and see Breretons runs, same with Geddy and Tomlin too! Lolley and Cash are the two that seem to link with B.B. most who are both relatively young and in experienced! Need a ply maker desperately
