It worries me that were playing darlow and not de vries when dougie knows darlow is off in the summer. I know you play your best 11, but if de vries feels unwanted we could end up without a senior keeper for next season.
Also Hopefully next season we will have riera, laing, o.burke, grant and walker all in the match day squads too so we should give them as much game time as possible or send out on loan like we have burke

Devries has just signed a new 2 year contract. Its tight between Darlow & Devries but with the season still alive the better keeper should get the nod. Devries has understudied Darlow for some time now & will get spot next season. i'm surethis would have been reflected in his contract negotiations.

If lansbury stays and signs a new contract what other players will we need and in what positions? Personally think we only need 1 more striker as a back up for injuries or suspensions then I would say the squad is complete
1.) That '1 more striker' could well be Dexter if according to the back room staff he'll be in full training in 2-3 weeks?
2.) I know iam going to get slated for this but I really don't think Dexter is the answer for our 4th striker he hasn't been for a few years now.he was a good player for us a few years back but no longer.i wish him all the best but its time we looked for someone else.
3.) I agree with gazza, just think dex can't cut it anymore in this league, was awful in back end of 2013 season, don't think he scored since signing his contract!
4.) Just checked and blsckstock has not scored since signing his new 4 n a half year deal in jan 2013

5.) In terms of one more player I think Pearce has to decide long term if Cohen will be a Left Back of Left Half - midfield
For me Fox is too slow as a Left Back
and was poor against Bolton and got ripped apart by Bournemouth. Also when he made the mistake that cost a goal against Bolton he started blaming others which was equally poor
So for me, a good natural left back (Lichij was very good second half but is not a natural left back for attacking) is what is required and if Cohen will be a left back then it is sorted with cover already there with Harding and Fox
I think an attacking midfield is what is required n case of Lansbury move or injury. Vaughan will be cover as defending midfielder
6.) We need to give Dex a chance. He will be playing in a far better team when he returns. He will have Reid, Burke, Lansbury, Antonio, Cohen, hunt, Paterson, all supplying the bullets.
Let's hope everyone stays fit and Dex doesn't need to play! That way we will be sure to finish high up the table.

8.) What about ze German? Supposedly a very good DM, passes the ball well, scores great goals and does great somersaults! Sounds like just what we need although I've got no idea who you would drop to play him.

I think patterson could play as our back up striker. I always liked dex , however pato will certainly get us goals as he already proved last season. With the pacewe have now on the flanks he would get more.dex I think would be loaned out again , maybe leeds will come callihg again.

20.) Marco, what about Burke? I think he has been great so far for us. We'd need a keeper on the bench too! Shows how tricky it is, what a great squad we now have!

21.) I really like marco's team but burke is that out and out winger we have been craving, however your system would work if hunt and cohen got forward to provide the width.
Great to see so many different starting line ups just shows how strong our squad as a whole has become.

Yeh but ed we can compare to young english talent. Callum chambers 16m. Shaw 34m. Butland 8m. Even jenas went for 5m and that was 10 years ago

Some people are getting way too worried, these are friendlies its all about fitness and tactics. As for the injuries, again people are panicking way too early. Our first 11 against blackpool still looks very strong!

Yes we may not play 4-4-2 but just an example of how strong our squad still is! We will only get even better when lansbury, cohen, hobbs, lascelles, lichaj etc are all back.
Just stop panicking, this is exactly why we have great strength in depth

Strikeforce of veldwijk, djebbour, wilson and fryatt would walk this league. especially with reid lansbury vaughan and paterson feeding them

We have to take a similar stance with lansbury with how sunderland have with wickham. Either sign a new deal or be sold. We cannot let a 5 million pound player go into the last 6 months of his contract, no matter how good he is. Offer him a good deal with big rises if he gains us promotion
Do not understand this one bit. Watford demand 10m for deeney and were apparently giving two of englands brightest young stars away for 7milion. We are way too soft when it comes to selling

I think laing n riera aren't being thought about for first team this season. Mancienne at 26 definately is. wouldn't be surprised to see mancienne n lascelles start the season together
Couldn't even get in stags team for final 3 months. Yes he's young but he's nowhere near good enough for this level
I know he was through youth but i'm sure harewood scored 20+ one season too. But yes i think your right, we've finally fount that prolific striker we crave
Personally think lichaj got the nod for his height and heading ability due to sheff weds direct approach. Their strikers were a real handful just a good job neither could finish! Agree with above comment though that mancienne was excellen, our buy of the summer!

Question is: where does lansbury and vaughan fit in to this team? Great problem for psycho to have!
