We seem to be linked to a lot of Right Backs atm Read Dodo etc, but no LB’s apart from Oso from Seville which seems to have gone quiet.

Or that Glasner either fancies Netz to play there or will continue with Neco playing there instead of RWB.

If Mateta wants to come to Forest, get the signing done. Proven at this level. Then we can have Woody as an option and not rely on him for goals.

OK, I'll stick my neck out. If we sign Diomande, Forest will have the best defence in the Prem, assuming no serious injuries.

By that I don't mean concedes the least (depends also on system etc.), but I mean that their contribution to the team and way they compliment each other will be as good as anyone in the Prem.

Glasner needs to take urgent action with Gibbs White: why is he still making Yates captain in the pre season games? Give it to Gibbs White as Yates will be an impact sub at best this season.

My mate lives in East Bridgford and his wife is very friendly with Gibbs White’s fiance and she says they are very settled here as a family and love the area.

It's all speculation, MGW isn't going anywhere. Just bored reporters adding one to two and getting four. Yates should stay captain, as he's the only academy player that's a regular in the squad. Besides, it's Glasner's choice and I would imagine he has a better idea than us. 🌳

Yates is captain when on the pitch because he's the leader in the dressing room, and the manager recognises it. That's all there is to it. The boss is making sure he buys into the dressing room dynamic. Yates lives and breathes Nottingham Forest.

Rumours:

Newcastle want Danilo.

Spurs are asking Forest and Newcastle for £60M to sign Bergvall. 😮

Engels (Celtic, MF) is available now for less than the £25M we offered in the summer.

Forest and Newcastle (again) are both after Fiorentina RB Dodo.

~£14.5M is the suggested fee.

Cuhna might leave now Glasner is here. Might explain why they are in the market for a CB. I'd keep him.

We are also supposed to be really keen on Givairo Read still, another RB.

Seriously, I'd keep Cunha too. Did well last season until his injury problems. Big, ball playing centre back, perfect in the back 3 that OG seems to be going with.

What's not to like?
Not sure about Balogan. Did ok at the World Cup for a poor team, mostly against poor opposition. Failed at Arsenal Academy, I think. Loaned out and didn't do much.
In OG, we trust.

Xaver Schlager (CM) will be our first signing, on a free from RB Leipzig. Very well rounded midfielder. Has played for Glasner before. Very smart signing.
If we can also bring Bergvall in, our midfield would be in very good shape.
