New kit to be released on OS at 4pm today.

NE_Red_Daz

1.) 24 Jun 2015 11:06:23
But when is the shop opening?

2.) 24 Jun 2015 12:53:21
5 past

3.) 24 Jun 2015 16:12:56
Defo getting that top.

4.) 24 Jun 2015 18:51:56
So that's the home shirt, when is the away kit unveiled?

5.) 24 Jun 2015 19:00:30
I don't like the top 'up the forest' looks too much like a training top, thought they could do a bit more to be honest- maybe legends names embroidered inside or something along those lines??

6.) 25 Jun 2015 11:28:15
I like the top and expected the re and gold. Especially after the club changed the logo from white to gold. I'll definitely be adding it to the collection

7.) 25 Jun 2015 13:06:36
The top is absolute quality. Love it. Look forward to sporting it next season.

Seen on the bird site that Forest in for Jack Grealish of AVFC but Lambert reluctant to let him go.

No idea how true, how realistic or how worthwhile this would be. #NFFC

NE_Red_Daz

1.) He is a winger,don't we need a creative midfielder 😒

2.) Was reported in one of the Sunday papers

3.) We need a winger would be good addition and I would put landsbury on bench for a few games to buck his ideas up lazy

4.) He can play attacking midfield and centre mid too

5.) He's a good kid with lots of potential but I think we need some experience and creativity in our midfield.

Reid, when fit is probably one of the best players in the league, and that's without being biased, but his injuries are taking a long time to heal so he needs someone to cover his creativeness.

I don't know who's out there that we could loan from the likes of lower to middle prem teams that have superfluous creative midfielders or even proven top end prem teams fringe players.

6.) Wouldn't mind Taarabt if he's fallen out with Harry at QPR. Not sure if he'd drop a league and he's a selfish and lazy player but he'd certainly have a go at defenders in the Championship.

I've always liked Aluko at Hull too and he doesn't seem to be getting much game time. Although, he's not really a No10.

7.) I like Taraabt too. If football was 1 vs 1 i'd support him over most people even prem players but unfortunatly its 11 vs 11 and he's certainly no team player. Quality but not what we need at this club.

8.) Steve. You know that's not a bad shout. Has something to prove to. However we have had our fingers burnt with lazy, over inflated ego players before. Personally I would like some like commons ( yes I know history lol ) or someone with good expirence. What bout playing Burke more centrally and putting pato on the wing? Decisions decisions

9.) Or patto as the number 10 in the middle? He will get goals in that position.

10.) SP says not on radar

Rumour going around that the signings aren't done. Zaha on loan being looked at.

OK, so this isn't the first time we've heard this but put it in to context, with Lansbury reportedly off, would make perfect sense

NE_Red_Daz

1.) Are we now playing fantasy football

2.) Don't think we are fully done with signings yet, feel could be at least a Cpl more? + the odd loan but ZAHA, if anything would be a lower end prem team surely, would be nice tho.

3.) How would it make perfect sense?they are two completly different players. one is a wide man and the other a cm. reid expects lansbury to stay.

4.) Just been to the club shop(it's closed I know) but heard through the letterbox the staff saying it's £2 a letter for Asssammballonga on your shirt!
Pearce says he loves the fans and it should be £1.50 max, to which Fawaz agreed, but has now gone behind his back for the extra 50p. What a rip off, this must be the real reason why we have signed him to help with FFP. I certainly won't be cheering his hat-trick on Saturday as the club have no plan and clearly need a CEO to do some proper deals.

5.) It's been confirmed on the official site that Assambolonga and Antonio have both signed 5 and 3 year deals respectively, so why even post a rumour just to get your name up in lights on here, have a little substance.

{Ed034's Note - it's a rumour doing the rounds. No need for that

6.) Why would it make sense? if lansburys off surely we would bring in anothe CM not a winger/striker

7.) Look guys, it's just something I saw not that I have to justify the posting as Ed says, this is a rumour site and what I saw was a rumour.

Anyway, as Winger/Striker with the ability to run, take on people and score goals, he could fit in at the No.10 position.

I'm not saying he would as obviously I don't know but the more I read, the less convinced I am about the rumour.

Happy about the news on the CEO though, will do us the world of good.

And thanks for sticking up for me, Ed.

8.) This is a rumour about Zaha, would be a great addition, fingers and everything else crossed! You never know, after this weeks roller coaster anything could happen at Forest!

05 Aug 2014 14:18:29
Adam Clayton isn't the midfielder we are about to sign as he is shortly to be presented as a Boro player. £1.5m rising to £2m with add ons etc.

NE_Red_Daz

1.) Could this pave the way for Adomah coming or is that deal dead?

{Ed034's Note - they did say that we would move on now

2.) Well I can not remember a time in the History of Nottingham Forest has the last 2 seasons have had the exposure in the Media the buzz around town /people talking about Nottingham Forest.!!

In the last part of the season we had the Hobbs incident first he was here then BAM! he back at Hull?

the KD @ JL to me has the same ring to it in certain regards as to how it unfolded. this is disturbing. We have made some good in roads and look to have a decent squad on paper
but to me the Money aspect seems Way to low. it is starting to worry me that the owners are not as well off as we seem to think. and we all know how we pay our bills at pay day- juggle things around to make it work- to me it seems all too Real a bill was due and u can guess the ending on that one!

yegff7f
Canada!!

{Ed034's Note - the owner is a billionaire. he could have £10b in the bank and it would make no difference, as he can only put in a certain amount.
also a quick warning, anymore rubbish like your second post, I will ban you, because that is pathetic

3.) The midfielder from Birmingham whose name escapes me could be the next recruit.

15 Jul 2014 09:08:35
Read an article today by a Forest fan journo suggesting 4 targets Forest should look at. Made compelling arguments for them too, had me sold. The 4 were John Brayford, Conor Coady, Matt Ritchie and Craig Noone.

Just wondered what you fellow Red Dogs thought of these suggestions?

I for one would like to see all 4 of these on the squad and think that all apart from Noone could be realistic.

NE_Red_Daz

1.) Be all good! How did you get the famous tree next to your name?

2.) The avatar is Ed's latest tweak to the site.

Had to log in to the website, not the mobile and edit profile.

All credit to the Ed!

3.) Interesting signings, my view would be to go for a Peter Crouch type level. 4 million, likely to score buckets etc. as nugent has for the Leicester. PS how cool is my Avatar :)

4.) Thanks NE Red!

5.) On a different thread I contacted the Press Office at Forest this morning regarding the lad from Barcelona, and according to them nothing has of yet been confirmed with regard to his signature.

{Ed034's Note - to be fair, i am can't see them confirming to a fan who just calls up and asks lol

6.) 15 Jul 2014 12:34:37
Noone is reported a injured, would be a good signing, but couldn`t see them letting him go.

7.) Big fan of Noone but not sure why they'd sell him

8.) Out of them lot, I fancy No-one haha

1.) 17 Jun 2015 10:16:01
That a tough opener, having to play those three teams Brighton, Hove and Albion!

2.) 17 Jun 2015 11:09:29
Couldn't have asked for a better start tbh. With those fixtures I really think there could be an opportunity to gain some momentum and confidence.

3.) 17 Jun 2015 13:26:57
A good start means nothing, look at last season.

Consistency is the main factor in winning the Championship.

4.) 17 Jun 2015 19:12:48
I think the fixture list is really good for us, not many big teams drawn together.

5.) 17 Jun 2015 20:19:03
MontyPJ.

The perception of how big a team is means nothing.

Look at last season: Forest, and Leeds we both struggled. Bournemouth, and Brentford ( who the he'll are they).

1) The best footballing team in the Championship.

The other did really well, and slightly unlucky not to be in the play-offs.

6.) 17 Jun 2015 21:50:15
Great list for us. No opportunities to go on long losing runs.

7.) 17 Jun 2015 22:17:03
Cjay.

I thought we would beat Charlton under our present manager, looked what happened.

Sometimes a team on a good run can get good results against the better teams.

We beat Bournemouth after a decent run under Freedman, so you just can never tell.

08 Jun 2015 08:39:38
I'm confused about transfer embargos but before you all groan, I do understand Forest's.

What I don't understand is how Barcelona have made a signing over the weekend for Aleix Vidal and get around it by not playing him until January 2016.

Surely an embargo is an embargo?

NE_Red_Daz

1.) 08 Jun 2015 09:32:59
When your club is as big as Barcelona you can do Almost what you like

2.) 08 Jun 2015 10:59:10
They also managed to sign Suarez for 60 odd million in it too!! All a con for bigger clubs around Europe and prem league.

3.) 08 Jun 2015 11:09:25
Wasn't Suarez signed whilst they appealed the embargo though?

I'm guessing if we tried it, the league wouldn't ratify the paperwork due to the open-endedness of our embargo.

4.) 08 Jun 2015 11:57:21
Barca transfer ban wasnt through ffp though i'm sure it was for illegal aproaches and signings of under 18s they can somehow still sign people but the ban in place until jan 2016 so they not eligable to play until after that date.

{Ed001's Note - correct, it was for moving children around the world illegally.}

5.) 08 Jun 2015 12:26:44
Surely although different ruling bodies involved, we broke ffp, ie footballing rules, the other, ie Barcelona broke the law, so tighter restrictions should have been put in place for them.

{Ed001's Note - you would expect so, but this is a world where the more money you have the more you can get away with.}

6.) 08 Jun 2015 13:04:58
Surely an embargo is an embargo regardless of the reasons as to why it was imposed or whether it's for a set period or indefinite.

As they say, football is corrupt and money really does talk.

7.) 08 Jun 2015 16:22:37
Ed Isn't moving children around the world illegal and I'm sure it's called trafficking. Or do they get around the labelling because they buy every member of there family including great aunt Doris a house???

{Ed001's Note - they give the parents jobs and homes to get round it. Brian Clough used to do a very similar thing while managing Forest, I can remember him signing one youth player by buying the parents a new kitchen. Times have changed and it costs a bit more than a trip to B&Q to sign the top talents now though!}

17 Oct 2014 12:20:07
Just read an article about the PL's top 100 players. Former reds players Keane (3) and Sheringham (38) made the list. Some dodgy calls in that 100 mind you!

NE_Red_Daz

17 Sep 2014 21:46:02
It was mentioned about a minutes cheer for Cohen at 8 minutes, did it happen?

NE_Red_Daz

03 Sep 2014 10:15:58
Was just browsing SSN and noticed that they have a list of players currently without a club and available on a free, makes for an interesting read. There is some quality in there which would make a good additions to our squad.

Victor Valdes

Anthony Reveillere

Carlos Marchena

Modibo Diakite

Andrea Dossena

Ronaldinho

Alou Diarra

Sotiris Ninis

Florent Malouda

Nilmar

Hugo Almeida

Wouldn't mind seeing Diakite, Ninis and Nilmar at the CG! In fact, all apart from Reveillere and Marchena (being ageist) would be welcome in a Garibaldi IMO.

NE_Red_Daz

1.) Never heard of half of them.

2.) 3 I've heard of

3.) 03 Sep 2014 13:09:36
I bet if our manager reads this list he will wonder why he didn't sign them instead op the players he has lol

4.) Mr Google will help :)

There are a few lesser known names in that list with a few more recognisable characters such as Valdes (former Barca keeper), Dossena (former Liverpool defender), Ronaldinho (Goofy toothed Brazilian), Malouda (ex-Chelsea) and Almeida (Portuguese striker).

Reveillere and Marchena are quality defenders, RB and CB respectively but 34 & 35 years old now.

Diakite had a contract at Sunderland which was terminated by mutual consent recently.

Diarra was most recently at West Ham and is not bad at CM.

Ninis is a young greek CM with plenty of talent.

Nilmar was at Villareal and had a good season or 2. Played for Brazil and has a decent scoring record at international level.

If I'm honest, it's more wishful thinking as I'm sure some wages here are astronomical but I reckon some such as Ninis, Diakite or Diarra would be achievable. The rest would command a higher level of football or too great a wage packet!

You never know though, the Ronaldinho rumour has done the rounds before. :)

5.) Can't believe none of them have got a club?

6.) Diarra is memorable to Forest fans from a cup win/slaughtering was removed at half time struggling to cope. Was one blamed for the capitulation of one of most memorable games.

7.) 05 Sep 2014 00:56:23
Would make good business sense to sign ronadinho. Could you imagine the media attention? Also. Not a bad super sub lol

Lukasz Skorupski, 24 years old and contracted to AS Roma until 2017.

A good preopsect and resever keepr who has played at U21 international level and is in the senior set up.

I'd love to know who exactly the negative fans think we should sign on a free or loan (without loan fee) and for £10k or under.

Right now, I'm sure DF knows he's in a no win situation, damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. At least he's trying to be positive and ensure we've got a squad with depth and *some* ability to back up the 1st XI.

I'm voting we should rock up to some of these negative fans work places, severely limit their capabilities to do their day to day job then start ranting about how rubbish a job they're doing.

Give DF and Fawaz a break, the club is under embargo, their hands are tied and options are limited.

Jeez!

Saw a great article on another forum about the financial damage done by Nigel Doughty and what Fawaz did to recover the clubs financial position.

The club was in over £80m in interest accruing debt to ND which is what Fawaz paid off to purchase the club. The club's debt to Fawaz, approx. £35m and is interest free.

Simple maths, Fawaz, whilst no great manager, is doing good things for the club.

The club just needs a great CEO to allow Fawaz to sit back a bit more. The club needs Fawaz to stay. The club doesn't need the Fawaz Out Brigade
