The more I look at this squad, the more I think we’ll be playing a 4-3-3 with Watson sitting in front of the back 4. I do see potential in a 343 too with cash as a wingback. Needless to say I’m excited for the season and look forward to going to as many games as possible.

Floresta

1.) 06 Jul 2018 23:05:54
I imagined it more to be 4-2-3-1

2.) 08 Jul 2018 10:50:53
I would like to see him try a 3-5-2. But am not sure if it will happen though?

Does anyone know who the keeper is in the net on the photos of Forest’s first training session? Doesn’t look like smith.

Floresta

1.) 25 Jun 2018 20:22:21
Not seen the pic but maybe Kapino? Have u got a link to the photo?

2.) 25 Jun 2018 23:39:33
It was Smith, he just has a shit new hair cut!

3.) 26 Jun 2018 15:49:13
I hope it's nice and short to increase streamlining and hence improve agility!

4.) 26 Jun 2018 21:09:32
He didn't have it cut by Mrs Lichaj did he?

Should we get a large bid come in for Lolley and we decide that we want to sell (£15m+) who do you think would make a good replacement? I was impressed by Kayden Jackson yesterday but one swallow doesn’t make a summer

Floresta

1.) 02 Dec 2018 19:53:09
I don,t think for a minute he wants to leave ,just got to shut his hears to his agent ,they always want them to leave ,also look at Assombalonger , Burke ,the grass not aways greener !
CARLO

2.) 02 Dec 2018 20:34:45
We're bound to have premier League clubs sniffing around but if the players at forest have any sense they will stay because we could be premier League team next season and I think they will be thinking the same but if they want to leave goodbye we have no reason to sell unless it's silly money so let's not panic 😁

3.) 02 Dec 2018 21:08:06
Grass might not be greener, but their bank accounts are.

4.) 03 Dec 2018 07:20:44
And there it is,it’s being reported premier league clubs are eyeing up a move for lolley in jan!more will come out in the next week or so.players want to better themselves so you can’t blame him.

5.) 03 Dec 2018 10:38:32
Arvin Appiah is the natural replacement would sooner see JL stay

6.) 03 Dec 2018 11:09:47
Sutton how do they better them self's the clubs are Cardiff and Fulham they could be playing championship next season ok if it was clubs like man utd Chelsea etc but any player with the right sense would at least stop till summer to see where we're going and it's not to better your self it's money money money there ain't no need to panic anyway karanka will have is eyes on some Portuguese lads to replace anyone 🙄😫

7.) 03 Dec 2018 13:30:14
Cash,Carvalho,Lolley and Grabban along with Abraham,Grealish,Bolasie and Kodje are by far and away the best attacking quartets in the championship at the moment.

Which is why i think both our teams will go up automatically this season.

You read it here first!!!

8.) 03 Dec 2018 16:49:13
Having that money is bettering yourself as it will benefit your future having that extra cash to put away or invest.its not necessarily to better himself football wise but Leicester are in the mix as well, half season of prem football whilst your buzzing is better than playing championship football thinking/hoping/wondering if you will ever get there.

9.) 03 Dec 2018 17:49:04
Load of crap Sutton like most of your boring posts 😴😴😴 and just paper talk as usual 😁

10.) 03 Dec 2018 18:35:14
Out of order Skeg , some may think your posts are boring but hold their council as this is banter sight and all are allowed an opinion

11.) 03 Dec 2018 18:46:59
Lol trentender I don't care if people like dislike hate my posts hate me I don't let it worry me I say it as it is boring just like yours like you say everyone is entitled to a opinion I just don't after agree with it 😁😂😂

12.) 03 Dec 2018 19:26:21
Trentender that’s rich coming from you mate you were all over anyone who wasn’t happy clapping a few weeks ago!lol

13.) 03 Dec 2018 23:10:05
I think you’ll find I give my opinion but call people crap or boring?
By the way there’s more of you coming over to the happy clappy side now

14.) 04 Dec 2018 00:10:42
No mate but you insinuated anyone who had the slightest criticism wasn’t being a ‘real’ fan which is just as insulting to people giving a different opinion to you

15.) 04 Dec 2018 07:49:59
You’ve missed the point let’s just leave it

16.) 04 Dec 2018 10:50:20
You had a go at skegs for doing exactly what you were doing ,no point to miss ,but happy to leave it at that

17.) 04 Dec 2018 18:35:42
Are you his wet nurse

18.) 04 Dec 2018 21:39:29
No just don’t like hypocrisy

30 Aug 2018 05:23:49
Not to take away anything from the performance last night but I think I know the reason we aren’t getting our way with attacks. Every single ball up the players took a touch then pushed forward with their second. I might be being picky but if they opened their bodies and touched the ball infront of them, rather than controlling it, I think we’d have a higher tempo and more threat going forward. Still a good win yesterday and Mr Cash showing what our academy can produce!

Floresta

1.) 30 Aug 2018 06:34:04
Get this Man on to the forest coaching staff quick AK

19 Aug 2018 20:31:43
Having seen his penalty saved, I think Grabban should sit the next game on the bench, it’s not a punishment or anything I just think that he needs to have a game where he either comes on as a sub or gets a chance to take the sting out of his lack of goals. I would personally play Brereton with lolley, soudani and cash behind. I’d also have Robinson and Byram in as they are better fullbacks.

I do think that with the strength in depth we could also have the three Portugeezers in and we’d still have an equally good chance.

Floresta

1.) 19 Aug 2018 21:03:08
brereton might not be there saturday according to some.

2.) 19 Aug 2018 21:13:10
I think the bb deal is nearly done won't see him playing for forest again I fear

3.) 19 Aug 2018 22:26:44
Loan brereton for season charge them 1m loan fee. He comes back better player having done business Worth double they offering

4.) 19 Aug 2018 23:54:56
If brereton thinks this is a smart move he has been taken for a ride by his agents.i wonder how much warbo will make out of it?

28 Jul 2018 07:58:26
So, with talk of getting in Byram but it not happening as of yet, I started to think. Whilst I agree we do need a right back, and Byram being a very good option for us, if we don’t fill the void left by Mr Lichaj all is not lost. Cash could do the role well, as he seems to do every other role, then we have Lam who AK is trying to find a spot for, he’d be a capable back up, albeit a little defensive. That’s just looking at our none academy players. Gabriel might not be too far away from a first team slot, he should definitely be considered for a loan.

Floresta

1.) 28 Jul 2018 08:12:04
Filling a void and aiming for promotion isn’t the best combination in my eyes.you need players that play in that position regular who have the full understanding of that role.osborn (correct spelling) was used as left back and fans jumped on his back when he had a bad game but it’s not his favoured position.we should of kept lichaj at least until we found a replacement.

13 Jul 2018 05:12:21
Greg Halford anyone? Seemed a bit of a liability at times but always gave his all and would make our set pieces a lot better (those long throws and his aerial presence).

Floresta

1.) 13 Jul 2018 08:52:15
He's 33 now mate, definitely a non starter for me.

2.) 13 Jul 2018 11:35:17
Sorry but no where near promotion standard

3.) 13 Jul 2018 12:14:45
Sorry Red James pressed thumbs down by mistake. Oops.

4.) 13 Jul 2018 12:33:09
Just what we need to lead our forward line and slow the game down! Square peg in a round hole and very stale stellar from the dark ages?

5.) 13 Jul 2018 15:57:05
Lol 😂 red ! Get in ! No alternative view offered on this occasion !

6.) 13 Jul 2018 18:20:07
Get him in he'd make a smashing striker 🤭

I think Osborn suits a 4-3-3 system better than the one we’re using. He needs to play on the left side and have the liscence to drift wide to support full backs and “wingers” (though they now should be called “Inside Forwards”). He has a decent cross but isn’t the quickest. He can pick a pass but isn’t the strongest to battle so letting him create a link on the left and threatening a few crosses into the box will help our game though that isn’t to say he can’t be used different ways I just think this is his best position and it’s not currently one we have a need for.

I’d like us to get rid first then bring in if we can. Top target has to be a left back. I think Robinson has been doing a good job but I personally see him as more of a central defender or on the left side of a three than a left back. I don’t think he’s as suited to going forward as our right backs.

We do need a left back. Osborn isn’t good enough cover and Robinson can only do so much. We don’t need more players in other areas. We are just short on left backs.

Carvalho’s movement is absolutely brilliant, he’s always looking for gaps and space. Doing this pushes teams back and keeps their defenders constantly on their toes which leads to more time and space for the midfield. Creativity isn’t just what you can do with the ball, it’s also what you can do without it.

Stoke wouldn’t sell Butland. Especially not for £7m to a playoff rival. Westwood is a good shout but there has to be a reason he isn’t playing?

A DOF is meant to be more of a scout/director of recruitment ideally they work with the coach to bring in players to suit style and personality. They aren’t usually anything to do with the managing aspect though they do offer suggestions of players.

A DOF is only meant to be in charge of the recruitment and integration aspects side of the club. He’s like a buffer between the Manager and Chairman and Organises the scouting team whilst working on budgets and other things like feeder clubs. I’m hoping that we get a bit more involved in the community. I’m not sure if they still do them but 20 years ago they had coaching days for kids around 10 to attend and learn, I was already a forest fan back then but know a few more of my friends took up the Garibaldi after those sessions. Personally I think it’d be great for everyone involved. Improves our reputation and also increases the likelihood of attendance and could allow us to spot the next big player.

I think we’d have to sell to buy. We spent ~£20m in the summer and got ~£6.5m for Brereton. We have a few players out to offset some salaries but we have an already bloated squad. We have 1 player yet to get a game and another who is well paid but not getting game time. We need to get a left back in for cover and either recall Worrall or get another defensive option. I like the Heff, I think he has a great personality and is decent but don’t think he’s good enough to hold a place with Fox and Dawson fully fit. That said a left back would allow Robinson to slide across to CB if we needed cover. I think Bournemouth have a great keeper who is being kept out of the sticks by a brilliant one so could be a potential target at a decent price

Left back and goal keeper. Left back first. A young man united goal keeper seems a good option too.
