I know its not fashionable at the moment, but the only answer to getting goals is TWO UP FRONT!

We can't expect any loan striker with poor service to score goals.

Would like to know what Murphy, Vellios and Brereton think. I wonder if AK has thought of asking them.

C'mon AK, fortune is only allied to the brave, try this against Reading, they won't be expecting it.

1.) 18 Feb 2018 13:57:04
Totally agree humourist. Won't happen though.

2.) 18 Feb 2018 15:31:10
We are only fans what do we know about football .
Looks like 2 up front is our current and last managers plan C .
In most businesses the customer is always right but the mugs like us go whatever fare is on offer gets these so called managers thinking how clever they are ,till they get the sack!

3.) 18 Feb 2018 15:34:42
It will happen when all players are fit and we have a defence and midfield that can defend together.

4.) 19 Feb 2018 09:18:24
In the modern game, you don't just hire a manager, you hire his ethos. Every modern manager has a way he thinks football is played successfully and they very rarely divert from that. We just need to hope we stay in the division and AK can properly implement what he's trying to do over the summer.

5.) 20 Feb 2018 13:01:49
Have a read about his time at Boro, seems there were lots of falling outs with the Board ,players and fans ,lots of boring stuff played ,yes he eventually got them promoted but it soon fell apart.
Seems similar to when Caldwood was at Forest and that wasn,t a good era .
Did the Greeks do their homework on him?

6.) 23 Feb 2018 11:04:48
I think he was unlucky at Boro they were struggling to adapt to the premier league, like most championship sides will do. When he left I think boro only picked up 4 more points from rest of the season, so him leaving sealed there fate.

He is good at getting his teams consistent, which is the first thing we need at Forest, give him time to get the team balanced and consistent then hopefully play some good football as there confidence grows.

A draw at QPR and a win vs brum, will do fine.

10.30pm last night Marinakis and Kominakis get the OK to buy the club.

1.) 18 May 2017 13:34:19
10.30 last night eh? Yet still no official announcement and according to Companies House still in the hands of the current owners.

2.) 18 May 2017 17:09:24
Deal complete. It will take a few days for Companies House to update the filing records.

11 May 2017 17:38:46
Hope I am wrong but I do not like the length of time it is taking for Marinakis to take over at Forest.

It was supposed to be 99 per cent certain to happen a week ago.
The longer it goes the more I am concerned but not as much as Fawaz who, if I was in his shoes would almost be saying "when am I going to get my money? ".

1.) 11 May 2017 18:02:09
Fawaz only has himself to blame, but the football authorities are probably relishing draging their heels, possibly messing things up for us.

Will it be a Portuguese pre-season tour yet again, or Skegness if Fawaz is still in charge.

2.) 11 May 2017 18:52:15
Further to my post on Marinakis. I know the EFL have got to be sure who they are letting loose on us because of the record of foreigners owning our clubs and fouling up but in his case he runs a successful football club. He is not a total stranger to the game which is more than I can say about some owners. So what's the hold up?

3.) 11 May 2017 20:00:28
Based on the Cellino saga the EFL will have no grounds to refuse him completing the deal. He has pre-empted a re-run of Leeds by doing a 50:50 deal with his buddy so when Greek politics go after him again and bring charges he can step down from being a director but maintain his shareholding.

Not an ideal start to new life but when Newcastle West Ham Liverpool ManU et al are all being investigated over irregularities is he going to be any worse than any other owner running a big football club?

We have already had our fair share of dubious owners but life goes on!

04 May 2017 16:33:14
There's a rumour afoot that Warbo will leave with 2 and half years to go on his contract if we are relegated.
Any one else heard this?
Personally I don't believe it or why would he have come in the first place knowing that there was always a risk of this especially as he was out of time to sign any new players.

1.) 04 May 2017 16:44:30
Daily mail and a couple of other papers say he could walk if mcparland doesn't stay.

2.) 04 May 2017 16:58:08
Would anyone be bothered?

3.) 04 May 2017 17:09:21
cause we really need to swap managers again right?

I'm sure we will stay up and then he can sort the team as he wants to with a proper pre season as well.

4.) 04 May 2017 17:13:30

That is exactly the reason, and attitude that has put us in the mess we are in, nobody has the patience to stick with a manager long enough to see what he can do.

Some fans scream out for a managers head after a couple of losses, or bad performances. When the owner listens, and sacks him the stupid merry-go-round starts all over again.

The only sacking i have agreed with after only a short spell is Mcleish, he was a walking disaster.

5.) 04 May 2017 17:22:35

Well said.

6.) 04 May 2017 21:31:09
Is he signing an extension before leaving then as he only has 2 years left on his deal?

7.) 04 May 2017 22:38:26
2018 only one year.

8.) 04 May 2017 23:52:49
Didn, t Mcleish walk?

9.) 05 May 2017 06:07:35
Tomorrow where have I called for his head? all I said was would anyone be bothered! that's not asking for him to be sacked nor have I gone on about sacking him. i just wouldn't be that bothered if he was sacked especially if it was HIM who wanted out as that would show that he isn't up for the fight himself! if the manager is willing to walk if his mate doesn't stay how can he get the players to believe in what he says?

10.) 05 May 2017 08:05:11

You are taking what was reported out of context, he did not say i'm off if my mate does not keep his job.

What he said was, in order for me to stay i want the club to be structured in the right way, it just so happens that his mate is quite good at one of those positions which that structure contains.

Was there not a manager, or two that refused to join us for the very same reason, at least Warburton was willing to gamble on not having a relegation on his CV by joining us.

Warburton's stance on the matter, whether we get relegated or not shows he wants to work in a professional environment, and that he is loyal to those who he trusts.

I would say that is a perfect example to the players, that have to be be professional, and trust everyone that thay are with, not just in the team, but the squad.

Warburton has a lot of baggage, but for the present he is our manager and we should be bothered whether or not he stays. The fact you are not bothered shows, and intimates that you would like him either sacked, or to walk.

He may not be the best manager out there, but in our situation i feel he is the best we can expect. It is about time both we the fans, and whoever owns the club stuck by mangers longer than five minutes.

11.) 05 May 2017 09:08:39
What makes you think Warburton has "a lot of baggage"?

12.) 05 May 2017 09:44:56

All that bread needs bags to hold it.

13.) 05 May 2017 10:26:06
Nice one. We are all toast come Sunday afternoon if the strikers don't baguette it?

14.) 05 May 2017 20:20:31
We will be the laughing stock of the yeast midlands thag for sure!

15.) 05 May 2017 20:47:55
Especially when the dough collapses.

25 Jan 2017 14:01:54
What really fascinated me regarding Stan's meeting with Fawaz is that the latter said he told Monty he could spend 6 million on players but that PM would not spend it! Unbelievable, incredible. What championship manager would not bite your hand off for that!

I hope someone contacts Phillipe and asks him if this is true. None of us are that naive but whatever payoff arrangements were made, they might include keeping your mouth shut.

1.) 25 Jan 2017 14:30:54
I see it's not taken Stan long to withdraw his help after talking to Fawaz. I think he's realised he's wasting his time.

2.) 25 Jan 2017 14:58:47
Monty actually said in one of his pre/post match interviews that he had funds to spend but was happy with the squad. He was probably hoping to get chance to spend some of it in this window?

3.) 25 Jan 2017 14:44:08
Stan's plan is a good plan, regardless of Stan's personal involvement. Sounds like he took some abuse from our ever so clever cyber fans. Lansbury's salary for a year would have funded most of what Stan wanted to put in place.

4.) 25 Jan 2017 17:52:57
Doean't look like the squad will be strengthened except by loan signings. No sign of fees from Burke or Lansbury. Fawaz peddling same old guff. He needs to sell the club as he has run out of money to invest in it.

5.) 25 Jan 2017 18:14:54
Red_Dog you're on here so are you not one of those cyber fans too? Stan was in it for himself and if he takes his toys home just because some fans rightly exercise their opinion, it show's what an equally weak character he is.

If ever there was a good omen about tomorrows match this is it.

Ascot today result 3.50
Well that's an anagram of Joe Lolley!

and he has cracked it as far as most of us are concerned!

1.) 23 Nov 2018 18:43:37
Blimey Humourist, what school did you go to? To make an anagram you have to be able to make another word using all of the letters of the original word. JOLLEYS doesn’t have enough L’s or O’s. So you can’t make JO LOLLEY out of it and it’s not an anagram.

2.) 23 Nov 2018 19:00:18
TAP just humour the man!

3.) 23 Nov 2018 20:37:52
It's the thought that counts.
Ps tap is 1710 your pin number by any chance? 😁😁😁

Well congratulations, does he know?🤣🤣

6.) 23 Nov 2018 22:23:27

7.) 24 Nov 2018 12:45:07
17th October 1910?

23 Sep 2018 06:38:05
A testing time ahead in the league.

1 game this month, 5 in October.
2 at home and 4 away!

10 Sep 2018 21:15:45
Forest U 23s beat Cardiff U 23s 2.0.
Edser and Gomis score.

1.) 10 Sep 2018 21:31:17
Nottingham Forest have today announced expansion plans for the home dressing room and 2 new sponsorship deal's with We buy any and a shower product company called Time to Gel , Mr Karanka was interviewed after a cinema re release of his favourite movie the Three Amigo's Go Home and said the new dressing rooms will be unbeatable , direct and entertaining

2.) 10 Sep 2018 22:11:43
Skegby that's awesome.

3.) 11 Sep 2018 07:12:46

4.) 11 Sep 2018 07:45:31
Heard Cummings has a spin off TV series in the pipeline. 'Through The Window!!!" 📺📺📺😂😂😂

5.) 11 Sep 2018 10:39:59
And all because the girl asked for the bill 😋

07 Sep 2018 13:05:17
I know there is a lot of concern regarding the amount of players we have signed but I think AK is trying to get as much experience available for selection whether it be due to injury or poor form.
At the rate we are going niether Colback or Watson are going to get in the team.
Yesterdays signing from West Brom is a real tough hombre and he will put some steel in the side.

1.) 07 Sep 2018 13:36:04
Colback is a real tough hombre too. He's also a good dm imo. Not sure about Watson though. Seems to wave his arms about trying to direct others and not getting on with his own job.

2.) 07 Sep 2018 14:57:20
Gaza that's what captains do mate,
It's called leading by example.

3.) 07 Sep 2018 15:54:21

4.) 07 Sep 2018 18:02:40
I think he means waving and directing is what captains do. If Watson is leading by example there’s no wonder we aren’t performing! IMO we Geddy should be captain, but my opinion doesn’t count. I will admit I’m pretty excited with the new signings.

5.) 07 Sep 2018 19:01:24
Go to the top of the class, floresta

6.) 07 Sep 2018 19:42:30
So the opinion is that Watson is good for gesticulation in the middle of the park!

7.) 07 Sep 2018 23:52:34
No he's just looking at karanka and saying, Que?? "What's on" ?🤣🤣🤣

27 Aug 2018 06:34:21
Talking of sacking managers Notts County have sacked Nolan!
Consider how well he was doing at one point last season and was admired by some Forest fans, but things have really gone pear shaped. Personally I never thought that would happen to him so be careful what you wish for.

1.) 27 Aug 2018 10:04:00
Seems harsh and hasty but Notts have only won 8 of their last 28 league games.

2.) 27 Aug 2018 10:14:10
Don’t get the be careful what you wish for bit, don’t think many on here want Ak Sacked just want him to do his job ie win the occasional match etc,as for Nolan and notts county couldn’t care less personally

3.) 27 Aug 2018 10:49:38
The rumour is Nolan had gone of the rails and had to go. Pity Forest did not act as quickly in the past Twice!

4.) 27 Aug 2018 11:09:53
DrN based on that statistic Aitor should be sacked, i think it is down to the players demanding he be sacked, if the club had doubts about the results why keep him only to sack him so early.

5.) 27 Aug 2018 11:38:25
We could make that 3 times rie if somebody doesn't get there act together

6.) 27 Aug 2018 19:04:53
Wrong rails! Try the straight line walking test?

Gazzared when I read that we were interested in Benfica goalkeeper at 13 million I thought 'has the world gone mad'
For goodness sake we've only just signed Pantillimon.

I agree with you , we have 5 goalkeepers now.
I therefore conclude that its just a load of media rubbish again as any player that appears available AK wants to sign them.

AK must laugh his socks off when he reads the'Forest must sign these players'columns.
However I tend to be more serious about what does not appear to have been picked up on.

Whats happened to the Peterborough pair have they disappeared off the face of the earth ?

Possibly right Skegs for although Heckingbottom appeared to be favourite, after yesterdays result it would appear that no official approach has yet been made

The amount of times last season when we lost by the odd goal and several cases lost 1.0. We need to score more goals and add to the forwards we have got. Its all very well but we will not be replacing with the equivalent quality so how on earth are we going to reach the prem. Already had my rant on the banter site.

Could'nt agree more Redexile but would like to add that bringing on Osborn also added to the improvement especially playing him further upfield. He's got the energy needed late on in a game when others are flagging (particularly the opposition defence)
Hope on Wednesday AK leaves the full backs alone but let's Osborn take Geddy or Watsons place.

AK, let's do this from the start against QPR and press upfield from the kick off.

If Brereton and/ or Britt leave then I will NOT renew my season ticket how are we to get anywhere if we sell any of these two. We've got an owner with money so we are going to let FFP ruin our club.
When Fawaz was in charge I could understand the reason for it but surely Marinakos can underwrite the clubs debts.
If not then why did he bother buying it as we will never get to the Prem.
