Sorry guys but why are we signing players that are at the wrong end their career, we all read about the club saying what a dood bunch of young talented lads we have so my philosophy is if they are that good build for the future all be it if we don't go up this season.

1.) 26 Aug 2020 22:55:24
Greenock ffffffing Morton! Why are these scouts, how can this guy be off championship qualify?

2.) 27 Aug 2020 11:13:20
Played for Malmo.

3.) 27 Aug 2020 11:31:25
Maybe let's see him play first.

Welcome to the Mighty Reds Bachirou:) .

4.) 27 Aug 2020 14:13:12
Not all players have played for high profile clubs, so what he’s played for Greenock Morton. He’s got champions league and Europa league experience, let’s give him a chance.

5.) 27 Aug 2020 21:34:49
Cant wait for your comment when you see him.
Thats if you see him i'd say he's back up to colback, sow and yeats.
Hes not going to be a regular with those in front of him.
Just saying.

6.) 27 Aug 2020 23:33:42
Yawn, and who is Yeats exactly, a new Irish poetical midfielder we have signed?

7.) 28 Aug 2020 08:05:46
Don’t think this signing was expected to be exciting, and as I said on here before I’m not, but give the bloke a chance, he may have played for Morton, but he’s also had champions league experience on the flip side.

16 Aug 2020 13:32:33
Read that huddersfield might want Tyler walker would be a good move as he's never going to get a chance at forest shame really.

1.) 16 Aug 2020 14:40:50
Are you sure you don't mean Hull? Linked with them on a permanent deal, not championship standard so can't see Huddersfield buying him.

2.) 16 Aug 2020 18:32:10
If walker leaves it needs to be permanent price tag should be 2m. Scored plenty goals in league 1 before we ended his loan spell.

3.) 17 Aug 2020 09:05:35
I was hoping he would have been given a chance but hope he gets a chance to prove what he can do.

Hi guys not feeling the love at the minute I really thought forest would push for a top six finish this season but after looking at the signing of Sammy can't hit a barn door I really don't see any ambition, don't know if it's down to O'Neil having his hand tied to what he can bring in or he just hasn't a clue not sure, more speculation over Joe's future at the club if he does leave then I thing we will be looking at a relegation battle I know one player don't make a team but in his case he does .

1.) 26 Jun 2019 15:46:20
Hi Dan,

Whilst Ameobi's scoring record over the past few years (notably in a struggling Bolton team of which for the last year he was rarely paid on time) isn't amazing, it's not awful either
4 goals and 3 assists compared to Matty Cash's 6 goals and 2 assists isn't drastically different especially considering we finished 14 places above Bolton.
Regarding ambition, It's June 26th, I'm pretty sure Sammy Ameobi will not be our only signing this summer, and if he is, you have my full permission to call me out and humiliate me as you like.
As a free transfer on a 1 year deal, its a win win. If he is awful, he leaves. If he is ambitious and plays for a contract, we win.
If he is a starter week in week out, I'll be surprised, and if he ends up being a replacement for Lolley I will be devastated.
Instead I think he'll bring good squad balance on the wings with pace and power something we've been distinctly lacking since Antonio to be honest.
If he is one of 5 or 6 other signings, it will look like a great early free deal and boosts squad depth and options.

Feel the love, be optimistic. Let's not even mention relegation battles until it's (hopefully not) a thing.
Get behind the management whether you like him or not, the board and most importantly what ever player pulls on the Garibaldi

13 Apr 2019 18:52:11
Hi to be honest, I really don't know why we have such a under performing team. on paper our players look more than enough to cope with most of the teams in this league yet again they just don't play.

I know it's a managers job to get his teams motivated and all that but the players must also take a long hard look at themselves for the crap they produce they let everyone down including themselves I do feel for the fans that come here I feel for those of us on rubbish wages that still pay tickets so can somone please wave a magic wand get us playing again. coyr.

1.) 13 Apr 2019 19:05:54
On the flip side look at it from a players point new managers all the time a different team mate next to them every game, in and out the side themselves constantly there is no continuity anywhere must make things very hard and demoralising take Milosevic did nothing wrong and seems to be now in the abyss

I heard a rumour don't quote me but that we are actually going to teach the players how to pass and have shots at goal I know it's hard to believe.

1.) 07 Sep 2020 17:00:05
You must be "Desperate" Dan!

2.) 07 Sep 2020 17:15:44
They need it.

3.) 07 Sep 2020 17:32:48
If the players wore pink shirts they would have no problem picking out a Forest player to pass to.

05 Sep 2020 18:34:23
Young cloughie still not working call him now at least his teams play football or at least get sabri to watch videos of how teams should play, not looking good for QPR they're probably stronger than Barnsley.

1.) 05 Sep 2020 18:43:03
Good call dan. but not whilst Marinakis is the owner.
Owning 2 clubs is like having a mistress. you always go back to your wife!

2.) 05 Sep 2020 18:46:10
They don’t play football, they play hoof ball but I suppose it’s better than what we are playing now.

3.) 05 Sep 2020 18:54:33
He'd not do it has he has principles passed on from his father about who's in charge.
At forest the coach is not in charge.

4.) 05 Sep 2020 18:59:00
Clough same as O Neil, look what happened there .

5.) 05 Sep 2020 19:19:31
And that’s the reason we will never have a decent manager/ coach who would want to come and work in that situation.

6.) 05 Sep 2020 19:22:42
Going back to wife is because you can not afford the divorce.

7.) 05 Sep 2020 20:08:09
Is that an experience? 🤣🤣.

8.) 06 Sep 2020 07:15:22
nigel clough is not what forest want,

05 Sep 2020 15:49:00
I would love to say what a improvement we've made from last season still same sht can't pass for crap struggle with crosses still and lack of shots still no end product please give me some hope, infact I'm struggling to actually staying awake.

1.) 05 Sep 2020 15:55:24
I’d say the hope is 5 first team players aren’t playing. So with them in the team we might be able to retain the ball for longer than 2 minutes. Hope! 😂.

2.) 05 Sep 2020 16:13:00
Blank, blank, blank.

3.) 05 Sep 2020 16:15:04
Poor stuff so far and nothing to be excited or even interested in, Costa gives the ball away, Carvalho a passenger again.

03 Sep 2020 01:41:09
I wonder if will sign aplayer under 30 with the money they get for cash we're starting to look like dads army lol.

1.) 03 Sep 2020 09:07:14
"Dont Panic! don't Panic! "

2.) 03 Sep 2020 09:46:41
Mature proven players are what we need for the championship with a mixture of youngsters that we already have great signings so far lot better than signings of the past I even think we will be seeing 2 up front this season but I'm sure everyone won't be happy with that neither 😁.

3.) 03 Sep 2020 10:03:20
Don't tell em your name Silenzi 🤣🤣🎈.

4.) 03 Sep 2020 10:10:24
I crave it Skegs . Oh for attacking entertainment 👍🎈.

5.) 03 Sep 2020 11:16:27
The problem with signing proven championship players aged 30+ is we are not building a side for the premiership, the team as I see it now is a team that should compete in the top 6. To survive in the prem would take a massive investment and would still more than likely end up in relegation in our first year. Would like us to sign some younger striker/ wingers that can learn and push the older players this year.

6.) 03 Sep 2020 14:31:13
We've been there done that doesn't get you to the premiership let's get there first and let the owner and manager to worry about the rest Premier league here we come happy days.

03 Aug 2020 15:41:03
I wonder what the chances of playing 2 forwards are at home this coming season.

1.) 03 Aug 2020 16:47:22
None sadly.

2.) 03 Aug 2020 20:55:43
You can play one up top as many successful teams do., you just need midfielders that can run behind defences and score or create goals.
Your assumptions that two strikers is the answer is wide of the mark.
You have to have two to pick from in the first place🤔🤔.

3.) 03 Aug 2020 21:11:36
Ff79 - it would be nice to have the option of playing 2 up tho 😜 but I know what your saying, we need creative midfielders n not just lolley chipping in.

4.) 03 Aug 2020 21:40:37
Arran we just don't have any pace in that squad other than cash or dirikwa.
Its one paced and there lies a big problem modern day football relies on pace.

5.) 03 Aug 2020 23:01:35
Not going to dispute with that ff79 you got it spot on buddy, esp in the midfield area.

If lansbury was that great of a midfielder how come he's hardly had a kick at villa or was it when he was at forest the other players were that poor it made him look good.

I'm wondering if Houghton will try and get a decent forward in I doubt he'll be able to but if anywhere on the pitch needs strengthening then its upfront and as been for some time.

Got a feeling he's going to need all the luck he can get as it won't be long before fans are picking negatives about him some are already.

I don't hold with all this new players need time, ifhe hadn't done what kranky tried to do just buy a new squad and hope they win games straight away all he needed to do was sign 2 or 3 real quality players be a little braver and we wouldnt be in this mess, the other thing is we had a lot of luck last year and now its deserted us shows how much we are lacking compared to dome other teams.

It took him about 8 games last season to score a goal don't know why we got rid of walker, Taylor should start at least make grabs fight for his place as he knows no matter what we don't have another replacement apart from Taylor for to long we've brought midfielders or defenders in we could do worse than try the younger players upfront.

Hi guys didn't get a chance to listen to the match due to work but looked on the beans football and was nice to see we managed to get shots at goal but yet again it was the midfield who had the shots.

Read different things but any manager that can do it with two teams and admits he plays the style that suits what players so not going to judge and majority of the Brighton games he played 433 so would say that's negative but I don't really care as long as points is all that matters at the moment.

If I remember correctly landsbury had a few good games here and there and when he left most of the fans said good riddance and it was good business now all of a sudden we can't live without him exactly how well did we do with him in the squad and he'd be another player who is looking for a pay day, and if he was that great couldn't manage to get in the villa squad and can think of better players who ain't on 45k a week, sooner gave knockheart and a decent striker.

I think it's sad when a bunch of over paid namby pamby players get a manager the sack yes sabri made some strange decisions and was tactically naive at times but no matter what at the end of it all it's the 11 players on a pitch that win or lose you a match, I'm pleased with chris Houghton coming and hopefully he can get some results going our way but I I just wish him luck most of all as he's going to need it.
