Ffs not again.
Players getting managers sacked.
Wasn't convinced by O'Neil and Keane.
But good results at the end of season left me optimistic
Don't like the sound of new manager.
Championship experience is what was needed jokanovic would of been the right man. Wouldn't surprise me if likes of Lolley wanted to leave now.
Back to square one.

Let’s not be too hasty. Pre-season should be a good indicator.

2.) 29 Jun 2019 17:17:06
Not on today's outing.

3.) 29 Jun 2019 18:08:27
Ir you think preseason is an indicator then we should have walked the league after our displays in them last season.
Poppy cock means absolutely nothing, its just a kick about where no one wants to get hurt, its just about being fit for the new season.

4.) 30 Jun 2019 07:06:41
Good results at the end of last season? you mean the ones where the pressure was off and the manager started to play a creative player?

25 Feb 2019 21:53:16
12 games left. We need to win at least 7 and at least drawing a few to make play offs.
Our run in int bad.
We can do it.

1.) 27 Feb 2019 10:19:55
15 games left. If we remain undefeated we’re in the premier league!

2.) 27 Feb 2019 17:40:21
Like it floresta 👍

3.) 27 Feb 2019 17:57:03
We only have to win 12, not 15.

4.) 27 Feb 2019 17:57:54
Just realised the play off games.

5.) 27 Feb 2019 21:39:37
Can't believe it took that long 🤣🤣🤣

6.) 04 Mar 2019 15:06:59
we ain't getting into play off think logically we will muck this up like liverpool LOL

Charlie Austin would be good

2.) 29 Jan 2019 09:12:49
Another injury prone journeyman no thanks

22 Jan 2019 22:01:04
Several names doing rounds who could be available
Darlow hart Westwood keepers
Maclean, hunt, Powell, bolassie
Lowe Lansbury midfielders
Vokes vydra.
Who should O'Neil go after?

Red always

1.) 22 Jan 2019 22:20:42
All of em barring Westwood, you really do need to get over this fetish of yours. you got pictures on the wall of him and a screen saver? 🤣🤣🤣

2.) 22 Jan 2019 22:58:30
He's more affordable than others and he's been one of best keepers in championship for years.

3.) 22 Jan 2019 23:17:17
Can't say I've heard about him lately 🤣🤣

4.) 23 Jan 2019 05:33:48
There’s a reason he’s not in the Wednesday team, but it’s not his playing ability or injury status.

5.) 23 Jan 2019 08:23:09
He's been Wednesdays first choice for a few weeks now.

6.) 23 Jan 2019 10:02:34
All half decent apart from lansbury

7.) 23 Jan 2019 10:56:39
Bolasie yes please

8.) 23 Jan 2019 11:47:29
Adoma from villa be another shout, sure his contracts up in the summer

9.) 23 Jan 2019 14:40:39
Any of the goalies would be good. Lowe, Powell & Vydra

20 Jan 2019 11:01:57
18 games left We going to need to win at least 10 and avoid losing all other 8. To make play offs. Mathematically it's possible
But without massive backing this window as we still need:
Keeper,
Winger,
Centre midfielder?
Forward.
Plus injured players back.
We won't do it.

Red always

1.) 20 Jan 2019 14:03:21
Realistically,72 plus points is generally the target for the last play off place. Its a tall order to say the least.Hope Martin can turn it around quickly but will probably need until next season to get the team playing as a cohesive unit. Its such a shame that again we're nearing February and face the prospect of another season fizzling out.Im still trying to be optimistic but games are getting fewer. Will be there to cheer my team on come what may however.COYRs!

2.) 21 Jan 2019 13:10:06
It will be less points this season to make the play-offs because it is so close. We are taking points off each other. The problem is we are NOT taking them off bottom half teams - as we have not been for years.

Tyler Walker would be fantastic alongside Murphy.

27 Jul 2019 23:50:08
Been a while since I've been on here.
Pretty pleased with new additions
But would of liked Byram for 750k.
I'd like Colback to had bite to our midfield
And we definitely need another quality forward. But who is available.
What's tammy Abraham doing this season.

Red always

1.) 28 Jul 2019 02:11:53
Abraham will be leading the line for Chelsea this season. If we're looking for prem strikers more likely be someone like Charlie Austin from Southampton who has been told he can leave. Dwight Gayle and Colback from Newcastle would be good.

2.) 28 Jul 2019 07:00:12
Also considering all the midfielders Leicester have at the minute I would love us to try and sign Harvey Barnes on loan. Was class last season for West Brom and when he was recalled by Leicester at Christmas.

3.) 28 Jul 2019 08:47:49
Red tech Barnes was called back to Leicester and played for them, so I doubt he will be loaned out again.
Apparently we don’t want Gale because he’s a cheat, even tho we want promotion. austin looks like he’s going Newcastle.

4.) 28 Jul 2019 14:10:21
I'd take gale purely for the fact he scores goals one thing we're going to need plenty of this year, weird last season how many games we lost but still fin top ten.

17 May 2019 13:26:26
I think we should be targeting these players
1 rb . Byram offer 1m. Plus add ons after he's played set amount of games and proves his fitness
2 holding midfielder. Colback 1m lower his wages but over 3 year deal.
3 lb Bidwell free
4 gk Westwood free
5 creative midfielder?
6. Speedy Winger to compliment Lolley
7 forward to challenge grabbon
Some of these could be loans.
But we need to shift at least 15 off retained list.

Red always

1.) 17 May 2019 14:36:35
So you basically want nearly a whole new team. 😠😠😠😠.

We need to bring in 3 or 4 at the most that are a lot better than we already have, should we be doing well enough come January then another 2 or 3 if sufficient funds are available.

Changing most of the team in one go usually fails.

2.) 17 May 2019 14:55:21
Red always is right though LC the position's he's identified are the ones that need strengthening and he's correct in saying at least 15 need to go,too many defenders and too many midfielders at the moment and not enough quality.

3.) 17 May 2019 17:27:00
Fff79, I do not disagree that there are a lot of players to get rid of but how many are likely to be gone by windows end, and it could be argued who is responsible for that situation.

I have to say that it does not matter what the situation is as how many players positions need strengthening because if the club has enough money it could be argued every position needs to be strengthened as well as the other squad players.

I feel however that we as fans need to be a bit more thoughtful about how many players get brought in, we do not know how much the club is willing to spend, and we do not need to know.

I suppose everyone is different but i would prefer to spend all of the money available on a small amount of players to hopefully increase the quality by a large amount instead of bringing in a load of players and only improving the quality by a small amount.

I doubt very much that the club can afford to bring in as many as Red always wants and increase the quality by a large amount. Like i said before, bringing large amounts of players in one go usually fails.

Assuming the club has not got the funds on a large scale which route would you prefer the club take, Quality or Quantity.

4.) 17 May 2019 19:27:55
Thing is the list of players that need to go is obvious.
Steele
Smith
Hefele
Dawson
Watson
Geddy
Arybi
Murphy
Cummings
Grant
Soudani
Ansarfarad
Vellios
Bridcutt
None of these are good enough to take us forward,7 good players to replace them would make a difference.

5.) 17 May 2019 19:28:00
LC Red is only suggesting 3 or 4 new ones.
We already had Colback + Byram in the squad and the other positions need upgrading to balance the squad!

6.) 17 May 2019 20:09:08
RIE, Without Byram and Colback i saw 5 players.

I know two are free, but both Colback and Byram will want good wages, what happens if Byram has a normal season for him and hardly plays.

I see what you mean about Colback and Byram already knowing the team but they would still have 5 new players to get use to, and the manager will have to experiment to find his best team so the players have that to contend with.

Ff, I take it from your post you either think the club will spend big, or prefer Quantity over Quality.

7.) 17 May 2019 20:40:49
LC the club can't spend big,we've just wasted money trying to get to the prem by bringing quantity,we must be losing millions and 39 million losses over three seasons is looking like happening if were not careful

8.) 17 May 2019 21:02:35
Ff, So you want 7 players coming in, and to improve the quality, but you say we will not, or can not spend big, you hate loan players, that then means a lot of free players.

Oh do you think we will get rid of a lot of unwanted players saving a lot of money.

9.) 17 May 2019 21:19:21
You have to offload at least the players I've mentioned before signing players,
They were bad signings that are costing us millions,if we can't offload them then there won't be any major signings.
Loans cost just as much in wages and the ones we had were crap, barring colback, but even he is no world beater and if Newcastle want him off the books it's a free or nothing, there won't be a queue for him at that price and wages.
D9nt even try telling me how good Byram is,if he can't stay fit then he is of no use.
Seen enough of sicknotes being signed and can't stay fit.
Vaughan and traore come to mind.

10.) 18 May 2019 07:07:25
Fff79. Smith is a good shot stopper and got plenty of time to improve on his weakness.
Arybi is getting better.
Soudani could set the Championship alight, not known for being injured much.
I'm not sure but Dawson could see out his contract, he did not miss many games for Hull.

11.) 18 May 2019 09:50:28
Ff, I like yourself think Byram needs to prove his fitness before joining Forest, he is is however very talented when he is gets off the treatment table.

How on earth are Smith and Grant costing Forest millions.

Guedioura, Watson, Hefele, and Murphy are all past their best.

Gboly seems to be getting his head sorted, and could be a superb squad player.

12.) 18 May 2019 10:09:39
Your in dreamland if you think soudani can set the championship alight,Smith and grant couldn't get in mansfields side and arybi has failed in the lower divisions with MK Don's and Northampton and had to go and play Mickey mouse league now.
Get rid of em along with the old timers.

13.) 18 May 2019 11:49:11
Totally with you on that one FF

14.) 18 May 2019 12:24:42
Ff, You have made a fair point there about Gboly.

I was not suggesting Smith is definitely ready yet, but i think if he is treated right he will be a good goalkeeper.

You mentioned getting rid of the old timers, does that include Grabban.

15.) 18 May 2019 13:21:37
I would sell grabban for 5 mill, don't know if it's just me but he seems very moody at times.
I'd go for Gayle,a couple of years younger and very prolific.
Don't like his diving at times, but he'd be a great signing for us

08 May 2019 19:00:55
I know the seasons only just ended.
But which players would we all like O'Neill
To retain. We've got to shift at least 20 players on.
Theirs a few bargains to be got with players contracts ending.
ie Bidwell, Westwood Routledge ect becoming free agents.
Thoughts please.

Red always

1.) 08 May 2019 20:18:00
Loan players Out.
Pele, Goncalves, Bonatini, Tachtsidis, Grant, Cummings, Velios.
Get Out.
Steele, Henderson, Darikwa, Hefele, Guedioura, Watson, Bridcutt, Ward, Murphy, Fuentes.

Clough will leave.

2.) 08 May 2019 21:54:03
You can add yacob, dawson, edser, gomis, ansafarad, sudani, lamm, conveney Osborn lacovetti, crooked, bossin,to that list.

3.) 09 May 2019 08:06:16
Bidwell I have been calling for since Warbo days. Westwood has been offered contracts by Wednesday and Huddersfield. I think we need to get rid of a lot and sign 4 players. Bidwell, Colback, Byram and a Left Winger (though I still think Carvalho could play that position)

4.) 09 May 2019 09:46:10
Be realistic Fff79. Lam is gone and a lot of those are U23 team members who will come back to the same side. We need Yacob, and Soudani and Ansarifard will be given more time. Osborn is our best utility player so will be kept.

5.) 09 May 2019 10:31:42
Soudani ansafarad aren't good enough not even as back up strikers,if we stick with those plus Murphy and grabbans you can write next season off already, need better strikers than those two.

6.) 09 May 2019 11:04:23
Ff, The club has only one reason for concern with Soudani, which is the same as Byram, can he stay fit? Soudani has all the hallmarks of a quality Championship player.

Ansarifard under Martin showed some intelligent play, get a pre season behind him, and a run of games he could slot in well into the second striker role, if Martin goes with two strikers.

Murphy is good to come on sometime in the second half of games to change tactics to try and draw when losing, and win when drawing games but if Fawaz bank balance is right we are looking to sign another striker in a similar vein to Murphy, ie, a battering ram to ruffle a few feathers, to hold up the ball, and chip in with the odd goal.

7.) 09 May 2019 12:13:23
LC have you seen the games he's played or come on in? he's crap mate and 32

20 Apr 2019 10:24:01
What does everyone think of O'neill and Keane. Originally I thought they would be a good fit. But now think it's not working.
Injuries suspensions and players bought by Karanka or owner haven't helped
I say owner because when we signed all the foreigners ie the 3 young Portuguese lads
Soudani ect. This couldn't of been karankas recommendation.
We could of spent that money on proven championship players. I also think they've lost the dressing room.
Wether we keep O'neill Keane or get rid.
It's back to the drawing board. We need to get rid of at least 20 players. Some will be going because loan / contracts end.
But I'd sell calvalho osbourn worrell
And any other player that we can sell who aren't regular first team players.
Then within ffp. We can back whoever is in charge with quality over quantity.

Red always

1.) 20 Apr 2019 12:13:09
I’d agree with that. Carvalho and Osborn between them would bank us £20m. Add Grabban to that and that’s £25m on top of what is likely to be a healthy transfer budget.

I’d like to see us use our loans more effectively and bring in proven British based players. Had enough of Algerian strikers, Portuguese wingers etc. Only wolves have made that work in recent times.

2.) 20 Apr 2019 12:41:41
Not sure where we are regarding £39m losses over 3 seasons? I think Carvalho's fee was over 3 seasons and Brereton's £7m will help. But not sure we'll have a pot big enough, to sort this mess out. Anyone clued in to our current losses?

3.) 20 Apr 2019 12:48:24
Agreed we need a right good clear out.to be honest i can't think of enough players I'd want to keep to make a full team.out of curiosity I'd like to know who you fellow reds would definitely want to keep for next season.i can't get to many games due to work commitments but as some of you go week in week out you have a far better insight into the players than i do so based on what u have all seen this season who would you want to keep.lets make it easier and say your top 5 players

4.) 20 Apr 2019 12:51:30
I would be interested to now what the atmosphere is like between the players now. So many additions, so many not in the picture. I cannot imagine this is easy for MON or the players, in fact anyone at the club. Don't like the body language of the players. It's not good at the moment. Feel that there is big news coming. Who from? Owner? Manager? Players? Watch this space.

5.) 20 Apr 2019 13:06:51
Only players I’d keep are
1 Steele as back up sign a quality keeper ie butland
2 Darikwa
3 Byram if he stays fit. Loan again
4 Robinson
5 milesovic
6 benouloune
7 figs if over injury
8 Colback
9 Yacob
10 cash
11 Lolley
12 Yates
13 Appiah
14 Grabban only if we couldn’t get 5m back.
I’d sell the rest calvalho sell to Olympiakos for 13m
Osborne 4/5m stoke were interested
Worrell 5/7m
That would be over 20m for those 3. All rest I’d get what I could for them. Then reinvest in
Goalkeeper centre half 2 creative attack minded centre midfielders.
Another speedy winger
2 quality forwards

6.) 20 Apr 2019 13:30:28
I'll have a puff on what you've been smoking if you think Osborne is worth 5 million or do you mean Turkish Lira

7.) 20 Apr 2019 13:41:37
We’d be lucky to get 1 million for Osborn now.

8.) 20 Apr 2019 15:06:24
I worrall worth max a mill in my opinion

9.) 20 Apr 2019 17:11:42
Stevie,
Maxinillion ?

10.) 20 Apr 2019 21:26:44
In my opinion only Jacob and Colback would get into say Norwich’s 1st team.

Lolley would make the bench.

I say this because Jacob and Colback score a steady 7/ 8 out of ten most times they’re selected Lolley has good games and poor games. Other than that there is no player in our squad that I would want printed on the back of my shirt. Just being honest. The worst squad we have had for a long time.

11.) 20 Apr 2019 21:27:05

People on here saying how much we will get for players but seriously who will want to buy them? and who has a spare 20-30 million to buy them? We are stuck with rubbish so the next manager needs to be miracle worker. I follow us every home and some away games and will only say it as I see it, this squad is average at best and there is a massive task ahead for our beloved club to earmark a top 6 spot for next season.

17 Mar 2019 11:42:47
Although I still hold out hope we make the play offs. Without grabbon being fit. We've no chance.
If we fail. O'Neil Keane need to get shut of about 2O players. Some are only on loan.
Some contracts are up
Some are injured too much
Some are simply not good enough.
Only Ines I'd keep are.
Steele or pants as back up keeper
Darikwa as back up
The new centre backs I'd keep Dawson figs too injury prone get rid.
Robinson as left back
Colback yacob cash lolley Osbourne
Calvalho only if we couldn't sell him onto olympiacos and get money back grabbon
All rest I'd get shut. Like I said some will be leaving due to loans or contracts ending.
Some we can sell
Rest pay them off.
Then back O'Neil Keane in summer.

1.) 17 Mar 2019 13:14:26

2.) 17 Mar 2019 13:28:54
Keep

Pants and Steele (only one if promoted)
Dawson, Benalouane, Worrall, Milosevic
Colback, Yates , Guediura, Pele (maybe)
Cash, Appiah, Osbourne, Lolley
Soudani, Grabban, Walker

3.) 17 Mar 2019 14:36:20
Youd keep Dawson but get rid of Figs for being too injury prone???

4.) 17 Mar 2019 16:11:46
I’d get rid of figs for not being good enough

5.) 17 Mar 2019 16:40:08
Good job your not the manager then.

6.) 17 Mar 2019 18:14:51
Redtree if your replying to me and who knows with your posts your right it is a good job I’m not manager as I have no experience of managing a pro football club like you havnt, just my opinion on yet another overrated player we’ve got remember seeing him get rag dolled by bamford at boro last year and annihilatied at villa before getting sent off and costing us the game
