Again reading reports consideration being given to the possibility of leaving the CG and moving to a new 50, 000 seater stadium. What's everybody's thoughts on this? On the one hand sometimes a tired stadium needs to be left in the history books and you move on. Also there is the ability or lack of ability to expand and build bigger stands due to housing, shops businesses being in the way. Take Leicester their old cow shed stand at Filbert street you used to have to enter between 2 houses and were surrounded by streets houses ect. On the other hand a new stadium loses that unique atmosphere takes away some of that charm especially for the romantics amongst us. Look at Arsenal, Highbury the stands were virtually on top of the pitch creating that authentic atmosphere and the Emirates still doesn't feel the same. But is it a case of move with the times or fall too far behind the rest
I love the CG just not sure a move would be a good thing.

09 May 2024 13:50:51
Yes I saw that article, looking for a place big enough for the academy as well. Toton fits bill so does the embankment but city council owns that. I just worry about a move, you only have to look at the mess Everton are in over Bramley dock. Forest were offered land opposite lings Barr roundabout on the a52, the council yard. I don’t understand why mr m hasn’t made a offer to buy the city ground, after all they own all of the houses around the bridge ford end, they’ve been buying them up for years.

09 May 2024 13:55:39
Bin the city ground off. Its a dump awkward to get to, no where to park
Don't own the land. Its a car crash of a set up.
Get down Toton and build a proper ground 🎈.

09 May 2024 14:23:52
Said the other day we needed to invest in buying our own stadium should be prioritised.

09 May 2024 19:44:29
Won't ever affect you two either way as you'll never go
J6st saying.

09 May 2024 19:59:59
Can we really afford a new ground, upwards of half a billion pounds, where does that leave the club with sustainable rubbish. the establishment will love that. We posted yesterday about the cost of lively hoods when clubs go down. The same can be said if a club moves, there are a lot of pubs and bars around the city ground that do well when we're at home.

09 May 2024 20:48:08
Don’t look anywhere in the city- the council won’t play ball. County council may be different. We discussed Gamston some years ago but that hasn’t really got the infrastructure to handle the traffic. It’s bad enough there during rush hour.

09 May 2024 20:49:15
Thank god for that, our ground is a complete tip after years of no investment under ND and fawaz. It’s a very poor experience. Anfield and villa park prove that it can be done without moving but we just don’t have the wherewithal. To be honest when big M triumphantly trumpeted β€¦β€¦β€˜this will be our home forever’ ……you somehow knew it wouldn’t be!

09 May 2024 21:35:44
That's right DTP I invest my money wisely when I want to watch the game in comfort I invest in a new recliner just saying 😁.

10 May 2024 11:32:47
Skegs then why bother having an opinion on something that will only affect and/ or inconvenience others and not you, just saying,

10 May 2024 12:14:16
It affects the club so I'm allowed a opinion it's what the club needs to invest in our own stadium especially if we're after making a long stay of it in the premiership mate.

09 May 2024 10:12:40
Knowing that WHU and DM are parting ways, I personally think we should bring DM in, he is a great manager at this level.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 May 2024 10:23:58
Not sure what you mean bc, are you saying that forest shouldn’t be in the same league as WH.

09 May 2024 11:30:48
I can see that happening Mr Lower BC, Mr M will want Forest top 10 like WH have been for about 4 seasons (and still they are not happy, jeez).

09 May 2024 13:04:30
Totally agree cannon but need someone younger.

09 May 2024 13:44:58
Nuno will still be here.
CARLO.

09 May 2024 14:25:09
If he keeps us up he will have at least a season to prove himself.

09 May 2024 16:23:21
Moyes is absolutely useless, another washed up dinosaur. Put him out to grass with Dyche 🎈.

09 May 2024 21:15:47
What does that make nuno?

09 May 2024 21:38:42
Better than the unemployed cooper that nobody wants 🀣🀣🀣.

09 May 2024 23:10:05
He'll be back in management just like any other that gets sacked once they receive the pay off, think Cooper has another 18 months of forest paying him.

10 May 2024 07:05:27
Cooper is free to find another club. DTP. He isn't being paid off as he has been sacked and not put on 'gardening leave'.

{Ed001's Note - that isn't how it works in football, he will still be being paid up for his contract.}

10 May 2024 07:50:31
Thats right ed1 but still free to sign a new contract for a club like west ham and palace who at one point he was favourite to takeover.

{Ed001's Note - no, he would have to negotiate a pay-off to take another job or give up the remaining money left. So not free, as it would cost him a huge sum. He was never in the running for the Palace job.}

10 May 2024 08:15:58
I know he wasn't in the run for the palace job or any other premiership job just others thought he was I'm sure he will be back in the championship soon with a team that has a chance of top 6.

10 May 2024 08:48:13
That's why Potter hasn't taken a job skeggs aswell still being paid by chelsea.

10 May 2024 12:42:56
Potter hasn't took a job yet because he's above himself and thinks he's entitled to wait for a top job I'm sure if any of the top 4 jobs had been offered to him he would be there like a shot but proved he's not up to a big job and won't be offered one.

09 May 2024 16:13:18
Sometimes can’t believe what I read on here. As soon as any manager, no matter how mediocre, is sacked there’s a general mood to sign him up. I think we have collective inherited Greek Marinakis managerial merry go round syndrome.
Wouldn’t touch Moyes with a barge pole myself. Only ever won one Micky Mouse Europa Trophy in 25 years of management often at well resourced established top tier clubs. There’s a reason West Ham have had him replaced comrades
So let’s give our heads a wobble and at least give Nuno a pre season and a chance to make his mark.
Especially when you consider the disadvantages he faces which are none of his making ie poor recruitment, lack of planning for AFCON, FFP breach, large unwieldy squad etc.
SC had similar problems which he eventually succumbed to but that’s for another day ….

Ya know reds that f kn minster just blew him away he was almost in tears. But as i remind him and the wife. Yank history we find roman sandles they dig up nike jordans etc. (Chim, it's a sign it's a sign) πŸ˜‰ no but what I'm getting at is our history as a whole, each area fought with pride. I mean i'm on the border of jocks. But it's the guvner ya believe in to challenge them encounters and challenges. And lay the defence in front of ya. Now I'm not expecting Alexander the f kn great, with the hammer attack (for you stokey) just want them shirts looked at with pride in the dressing room. And just please try. Ronnie died last year, after football he got a job at Port Talbot steel works but still quite young had a massive stroke and spent the rest of his life in care. Played most of his football in top Div. West Brom, Coventry, Forest, regular international.

Can you imagine that today, footballers in a hot dirty steel works. They are all multi millionaires from that level.

Who needs corrie, when you've got a boat load of sackless persons writing rules week by week. They just don't give two flyers. And you know reds, it's all our faults for letting them do it. For me, it's like the government letting you retire. Each year goes up two years. You're going to need DNA from the Jurassic Park walking stick to get you one way on a bus. It's what it is.

Unlike the french etc. who actually fight for their pension age, we just lay down. Not that i can stand them. But man city, what does every fan from every club do? They just moan. I swear 🀬 this country is weak as p. and lays down to anything. Cmon, look at them coming in two by two. Anyway.

Agree4 Disagree0

08 May 2024 10:32:07
If every fan who goes week in week out decided to boycott a weekend of football it would certainly send a message. But can you imagine all those then available tickets going, all the fans who struggled to get tickets and could never get to a match would turn up in their droves. If the clubs also got wind of this they would probably make all those season ticket seats avaliable to the general public. It's just money money money it does my swede in. Most fans talk about how relentless and great city rather than the cheating fookers they really are. It might get mentioned in conversation but it will still be talk of Debruyne or Haaland or how they wish Guardiola was their coach. Sickening mate, we are just small fish fodder for all the big wigs, money boys and clubs with clout. Well done to Dortmund I hope they go on to win the champions league. Also great to see Leverkussen buck the trend, makes Festers achievement all the more remarkable as much as it pains to say.

The fact that the new panel have decided to uphold the punishment will this mean they will eventually punish the cheats Man City and Chelsea because they are setting a precedent across the board around 4 points per indiscretion City 114 x 4 points ha ha no chance they'll win another 4-5 premiership's before that happens. Fester are happy at the moment but are going to be hit next season also immediately not years from now. Get it sorted we are the laughing stock put Man City in the 1st Division get it done it will stop the problem's, cap the wages to even the squad's and send some of the the sky money down the leagues.
