The top Premier league teams are said to want to break away from the rest of the league, is it a good or a bad idea.?

Agree0 Disagree7

05 Nov 2018 20:46:23
Suppose they want even more of the money for themselves sheer disgusting greed

05 Nov 2018 21:06:12
Stevie f
I think you are right, i however think should they break away in the short term they will make a lot of money but in the long term will regret it. How many fans can afford to travel Europe every other week long term. I know their competition will get a dish full of money but dull games and low gates will have the dish companies leaving in no time.?

05 Nov 2018 21:44:26
Pp wouldn’t need to be too many fans travelling mate the tv rights would be colossal the rest of the game would lose all the tv money a disaster

06 Nov 2018 09:51:52
Just look at the attendances for the champions league group games - very low and clubs finding ways to force fans to attend. Eg Man United force season ticket holders to buy home cup tickets or risk having season tickets withdrawn. Yes, tv money would be massive, but for how long if stadiums are empty.

Now we've all had our say about Saturdays performance, my opinion is that we did ok. Ff79 said we were awful and Fighter pilot says we were A+. I think we were half way in between.
I have said on here that I would like to be entertained for my hard earnt money and have been criticised by the 'table watchers'. So I was quite happy with the commitment if not so happy with the quality.

Pantillimons distribution was much quicker. The back four looked very solid. Geddy tried to pick out a pass but not very successfully at times. Claudio was brilliant. Always in the right place at the right time. His distribution was simple but very effective. A vast improvement on what we have been seeing.
In fact in the first half we only played one defensive midfielder. It was more of a diamond and it worked well.

Lolly was a bit out of sorts. Looked like he was carrying a bit of a knock.
Cash was reliable . Carvalho was was non discript for most of the game but along with Grabban produced the winner.
So all in all. Much better but can also do better.
That's how I saw it anyway.

I have the racing post every day on Mondays they do a summary of the weekend, one of their sub headlines was’Forest are flying under the radar” and a piece telling punters to keep an eye on us because they think we will improve these people have no bias and deal only in hard facts ,we are starting to get noticed again,

05 Nov 2018 21:37:17
If we can add some consistency to our awful performances we'll win the league ☝🏻

05 Nov 2018 21:40:31
What I've said is it was boring and not entertainment, any neutral fan would walk out or switch it off.
Just wish karanka would mix it up and have a go at times, but I've given up with that
Look at lampard a novice as a manager but doing it the way most fans want to see football played.
Too many managers over think and worry about the opposition

05 Nov 2018 22:44:56
Exactly right 79, I think under any manager this team would do as well if not better I don't know about over thinking though with some of the performances

06 Nov 2018 06:39:07
Ff let’s see how the rest of the season pans out before you sing lampards praises too much.we all know what derby do when it gets to jan/Feb so when it gets to that we will see who is doing better.
Don’t forget lampard inherited a £30million squad and karanka is building a squad 😉

06 Nov 2018 08:42:23
Ff serious question why is entertainment so high on your priority list this season?last season you was happy with us being the leading passes in our our half going knowhere but this season you want to be entertained?

06 Nov 2018 11:19:37
See that's when you don't look 0roperly at what's been posted, I've always preferred entertaining football,I never said Warbs was the long term answer, what is did say was that last season was supposed to be all about stability, hence the open letter, only to get to Xmas and we were sacking yet another manager and changing the game plan to promotion at all costs.
So I accepted that with only a few cheap additions we wouldn't be playing brilliant football, but like the letter said, tough times and tough decisions,at least I saw a few very entertaining games last season, when you are given the budget karank has had its expect a little bit more quality and entertainment.
Seems some just want the points but don't care what the football's like?

06 Nov 2018 12:23:29
Ff799 just likes going against the grain, he'll never be happy. His happiness comes in telling other people they're wrong, or that their happiness is undeserved.

An emotional vampire.

06 Nov 2018 12:58:12
What a load of crap Wonkeyeyes, not said anything about being right only saying a prefer a different brand of football to karanka,
Suppose that's why you call yourself wonkeyeyes, should have gone to spec savers😲

06 Nov 2018 16:01:05
But why was you happy last season with the football, you must of enjoyed it as you likened it to city and barca.

06 Nov 2018 16:33:58
Just carry on Sutton,us being like barca or man City? Lol
What I might have said was that top teams like barca and city play from the back, that's totally different from a comparison with them.
Sorry your having so much difficulty reading, hope you get better soon😴😴😴

05 Nov 2018 17:10:21
We've got one of strongest squads in championship and in January I think our owner will want to strengthen again. But which players will be gone in January
Watson bridgcutt Osborn possibly
And who should we try and bring in.

Agree3 Disagree1

05 Nov 2018 17:28:22
I can't see him offloading Osborn to be honest.

05 Nov 2018 17:32:22
I’d like to see another LB come in, a CM younger version of Geddy and a quality winger that’ll do me fine. Maybe a keeper depending on how pants does.

05 Nov 2018 17:55:26
Defo keeper winger rest depends on new player bedding in

05 Nov 2018 19:25:49
How can you say we have a strong squad have you already forgot about the burton game we have. Strong 13-14 at best we need to add experience come January and please no young Portuguese players

05 Nov 2018 19:55:19
Here we go again, let's get rid of Osborn, unbelievable!

05 Nov 2018 20:25:32
Would be daft to get rid of osbourne but seen dafter things done

05 Nov 2018 20:50:17
The players that should be moved on is probably Bridcutt Aribiyi, Jordan smith and Henderson.
Send Yates and Appiah out on loan, then we need another left back for cover for Robinson and a younger Geddy sort of player but with experience and another Keeper, I think we will have bids for Lolley Cash and Osborn and possibly Fox, I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them is sold, and if that happens another stellar signing to appease us fans.

05 Nov 2018 21:46:17
Skegsey the Burton game was a blip. Karanka rested just as many in previous rounds against better opponents and still won. Our squad in most departments we've got good cover and loads of competition for starting

05 Nov 2018 21:48:40
Osborne will struggle to start many now but would still fetch 4/5m. And we still need to work within ffp.

05 Nov 2018 22:51:25
that's the biggest load of crap I've heard on here. always there's been too many as u call blips if we lose grabban and lolley who would replace them

06 Nov 2018 06:46:15
Yep no other team has ever lost to a team lower in the football league even with most there first team to laugh at some people on here making a mountain out of a mole hill

06 Nov 2018 14:39:32
Lol Sutton mountain out of a mole hill maybe you should tell that to the fans that turned up to the game and spent there hard earned money to watch a team that didn't turn up 😆

06 Nov 2018 16:48:24
Not to mention having to have a session in the pub on a school night, just to blank put out the horror of what we had to witness.😂😂😂😂

05 Nov 2018 11:48:27
Skegsjay just wondering if you made out of Sheffield in one piece pal?

05 Nov 2018 16:11:30
Yes home safe sgetty they weren't to bothered think they was more happy the pigs got beat 4nil

05 Nov 2018 10:33:51
Benfica have offered a 21year old Joao Felix a new contract as Chelsea are could be interested. The release clause in the new contract is £105m. That makes Carvalho seem dirt cheap.

Agree3 Disagree2

05 Nov 2018 08:23:58
Lolley, Carvalho, and Robinson are all one booking away from a one game ban, who are their best replacements.

05 Nov 2018 08:38:17
Benny, Benny and Benny.

05 Nov 2018 10:26:48
Like the humour but Benny is no Left Back in my opinion.

05 Nov 2018 11:41:27
"Psycho!! Psycho!! Psycho!!

05 Nov 2018 13:40:36
Osborn,goncalves/dias,Fox surely be Dawson and figs for forseeable Fox at left full janko/darikwa on the right not too shabby

Hope Greek guy gets run soon shoves Watson further down selection order

05 Nov 2018 07:41:37
Worth watching the discussion on MOTD with Gullit and Murohy regardjng playjng 4 3 3.
Top 3 unbeaten in prem play this system. Its no wonder that Lampard has adopted this at Derby. Like i said last week its such a flexible malluable way of playing. As Gullit says its very effective and encourages attractive attacking football offering vital trisngles and greater options. Coincidently its only Man Utd that play with 2 holding midfielders.

Anyone interested in Altzheimers in football should read an article in a Scottish newspaper. Tap in Michael White Altzheimers daily record it gives a positive profile about it . He stumbled on this a few years ago now, and others are now following his discovery. Their are quality Scottish managers and players who fully endorse this. Another close friend of mine had a brother who played for forest in the sixties who lost his fight with Altzheimers so tragic he was a lovely man.

04 Nov 2018 19:12:22
Worrall has no plans to be at Rangers next season he has said, so where will he end up, or has he improved so much in a short time that AK will welcome him back.

Agree2 Disagree2

04 Nov 2018 20:08:07
PP , he will be back with us , he’s Dawson’s replacement

04 Nov 2018 21:59:23
Worrall is better than rangers simples if he's not back here next season there will be plenty of takers

04 Nov 2018 17:31:09
Met up with an old friend from Scotland couple of months ago and gave him the I believe in miracles DVDs. He took it back up to Falkirk and played it to senior members Scottish players and when they had watched it they all stood up and appaulded . They said it was the best ever football film they had ever seen, and said their would never ever be a side that rose from the lower leagues and do what forest did, now or ever.
He also shown it to Altzheimers sufferers at Hamden Park Stadium and it bought memories flooding back. Full marks to the makers of said DVD.

Great post 51 anything that helps alzeimer sufferers and their relations is great, had five family members from both sides end up suffering and it's hard to watch and take in.👍

04 Nov 2018 23:26:47
That says so much about Brian Clough. His achievements whilst managing Nottingham Forest transcended football itself and showed what can happen if you have belief in yourself and your abilities. We were so lucky to have him for as long as we did.YOU REDS!

I lost my uncle to Alzheimer's last week. Awful illness! Let's hope that medical science finds a way to beat it one day soon.
