So rumours Marinkas looking to ship Carvalho Soudani and sum fringe players from the squad to Olympiacos. Freeing up quite a lot of cash rumoured to be at 15 million for Carvalhio. Cud be interesting if true especially regarding ffp.

Clough is god

1.) 09 Jun 2019 18:09:16
I can understand the fringe players being moved on, be it Olympaicos or anywhere else that would want them, i can see Soudani be moved on as he was injured most of last season and is 31 but Carvalho being gotten rid of to raise funds for other players is a shame.

Carvalho is the type of most teams would make their kingpin, he could well improve on last season if Martin played to his strengths.

It make the transfer window more tense to see who replaces him if he leaves.

2.) 09 Jun 2019 18:37:51
I do agree mate he has the ability to step up for sure. Wud be interesting if it happened to see wat class of players we could afford to bring in. But saying that I believe Carvalhio deserves a chance to shine.

3.) 09 Jun 2019 19:17:58
If joa goes and joe goes then where's the creative endeavour coming from can't see Watson doing much

4.) 09 Jun 2019 23:37:55
Creative lol a 13 million pound waste of space that couldn't create morph out of plastercine let's get our money back and invest it in a couple of decent players

5.) 10 Jun 2019 09:01:23
I think it’s bull. MON won’t last making these decisions.

6.) 10 Jun 2019 13:45:18
I would really like to see JC stay and get more game time this season,as said above we have like 10 midfielders on our books but definitely lack a creative edge.
Shipping him out makes zero sense to me

7.) 10 Jun 2019 15:10:54
"Morph out of plasticine"
Priceless Skeggsy!!!
????????????

8.) 11 Jun 2019 22:46:24
Well at least he stands a chance of being a "model" professional.

05 Jun 2019 18:46:49
Any news or gossip on players going out? Also how many loan players have we sent back, are we below 30 players in the squad yet?

Clough is god

1.) 05 Jun 2019 20:00:47
We don't keep loan players over the summer to mow the grass!🙃🤔

22 Dec 2018 18:48:35
Oh dear much improvement needed second half of season only 8 wins ain't going to cut it. Need players who will grab the game by the scruff. For all of carvalho's assists and ability to find space still seems a bit light weight to me. Still unable to put a run of wins together think we've only managed two on the trot once and that's not top 6 form. Come on lads get your act together at home massive points dropped again

We have yet to make the cg a fortress with nearly half a season gone we better get our skates on.

Clough is god

1.) 09 Dec 2018 11:40:46
We can't have a fortress when the drawbridge is permanently down!

2.) 10 Dec 2018 17:36:16
Yes you can as long as the portcullis is down.

3.) 10 Dec 2018 22:21:35
Antibiotics will clear that up

{Ed033's Note - Has someone got 'Brewers Droop'?

4.) 10 Dec 2018 23:18:51
Don't all answer at once?🤣🤣🤣
I'm all right the drawbridge is down tonight, just need to find the key to the portcullis 🤣🤣🤣🤣

5.) 11 Dec 2018 07:27:40
Just watch out for the arrow slits!

28 Nov 2018 23:25:06
What can we say we've been saying we need to put a few past a team but think the defence heard different and thought we needed to concede more lol. What a match plenty of quality attacking football. We defo got wat it takes to be in top 6 after first 10 games when we drew 7 won 2 lost 1 the last 9 games reads won 5 drawn 3 lost 1.

Just a couple of those draws into wins at the start we'd be staring down the barrel of the top 2. So not a bad start 7 out of ten so far this season just need to win 3 or 4 on the bounce occasionally and we should sit nicely in the top 6 ( Please God I hope so ). Also think pants needs a few good games seems his clangers are costing us dearly mite need to look elsewhere in January.

Tough start to the season but bring it on. West Bum at home first game let's hope for same level of performance as last season but 3 points instead of the one. Just need to put together a championship winning team and we are sorted it's as easy as that simple, easy stuff this management lark.

30 May 2019 15:04:22
Thinking of forest as a business lolley being sold nakes sense. I reckon at least 15 million that's nice cash if Oneill can get at least 3 quality players with it. This is the problem when you run as a championship club selling your best players keeps things ticking over nicely such as ffp. Mind you if your in the prem you still end up selling your best to the top clubs that's todays football, difference is you get 50 million instead of 15. I hope lolley stays but if he does go I hope its sorted quickly so we can move on.

Clough is god

1.) 30 May 2019 17:22:12
Good post clough

2.) 30 May 2019 17:22:52
Will he or won't he?
Villa will test Forest's resolve regarding Lolley.
I hope he stays but will he be tempted by wages and a chance to play in the Premiership?

3.) 30 May 2019 17:58:11
And the club him and his family support?anyone would jump at playing for the club they support plus prem football plus bigger wages.

4.) 30 May 2019 18:05:43
15 million + a player for me. I wouldn’t mind Lansbury back to be honest, always thought he was a good player. If we can get a replacement for Lolley (though Soudani does play that position) and get a striker I’d be happy. I think we do need a left back but rumours are we have one in bound on a free, and if we can a left winger (O’dowda) then I’m positive for our chances. Lolley will be hard to replace, but he is replaceable.

5.) 30 May 2019 18:46:23
It will be very hard to tempt any of the decent players from Villa. Why would they leave a Prem club? Plus the better players will be on massive wages. Lansburys wages were already extortionate imagine them now!

6.) 30 May 2019 19:03:13
Villa would love to offload Lansbury especially now after his pay rise, thing is nobody else will pay that so there stuck with him.

7.) 30 May 2019 21:18:27
Good player sutton and if he stays fit he will play for them.

24 May 2019 15:30:11
So Fakwad gets 4.2 million pound from the club. I know he invested a fair bit of money but nothing like finishing the business you made a mockery of with dignity eh! Wat a first class tw#t, any respect he had left, well just about sums up the mess he left the club in really.

Clough is god

1.) 24 May 2019 15:56:25
Just shows how bad a business man he is as he couldn’t even get the right deal for himself when selling our club, think we should pay him it in instalments say £50 a month lol

2.) 24 May 2019 15:58:06
If you was owed 4.2 mill would you just say “I don’t want it you keep it” too be fair with how some fans treated him I don’t blame him for taking it,I’m not saying he was the best or was good at what he was doing but the money put in was his and it was owed

3.) 24 May 2019 16:09:49
We are well rid of the man.

4.) 24 May 2019 16:24:08
There are two ways of looking at it, Fawaz was owed the money and managed to get it.

Fawaz hid how bad the financial affairs were and our present owner only found out once he had signed for the purchase of the club.

Which ever it is Fawaz always said he only wanted what was best for the club yet he is only making matters worse for it.

Im not saying £4.2m is small change for Fawaz but i'm certain he is rich enough to accept he he ran the club badly and take it as a loss.

The club is still feeling the effects of his ownership, why should he not still feel what was a bad deal for everyone.

5.) 24 May 2019 17:26:26
Shame on those who drove such a nice bloke out of the club ,those protests were so cruel ,by the way where did the Burke cash go?
CARLO

6.) 24 May 2019 18:31:56
Carlo that's a daft comment the burke money got us out of ffp.
Too much nonsense is talked about putting money straight in his pocket.
It shows up on accounts and is fraud,in this case he was owed it and the owners should have paid up instead of dragging the clubs name through the courts.
Obviously Mr Randall isn't the best QC.

7.) 24 May 2019 20:13:10
The Greeks solicitors will get a bollocking. From the ruling it looks like the contract favoured Fawaz. Fawaz has obviously cooked the books to make it look like there are less liabilities. Even so Fawaz's solicitors did a better job in putting all the risk on the big man.

I doubt Randall had anything to do with this.

8.) 24 May 2019 21:16:49
Redtree you don't get a rollicking in Greece, you just meet misfortune.
So the chairman a QC had nothing to do with it?
So whys he a QC?
Sorry mate I've been to court and the judge only makes a decision on the facts that are presented,no hear say or broken promises or hand shakes, just facts

9.) 24 May 2019 22:15:08
I can honestly say I never received a penny of fawazs money! 💰💰💰

10.) 24 May 2019 22:33:18
Would 4.5 M buy the Maggies ?
CARLO

11.) 24 May 2019 22:34:52
Lol, not even a "fridge" magnet?🤣🤣🤣

12.) 24 May 2019 22:37:16
Marlon king ,driving instructor 🤔🤔

13.) 24 May 2019 22:52:05
Arran if he's a bad businessman?
Then I'd be happy to be two camels and two pence behind him?🤔
When you buy a football club business as its known goes out the window.
Profit is an alien word
Think about it?

14.) 24 May 2019 22:53:52
Randall is a barrister he won’t handle the writing of contracts. M&A solicitors will write and negotiate the contracts for the club. I know abit about law it’s my area of expertise. The mistakes weren’t made in court it’s on the original contract.

15.) 25 May 2019 07:03:34
Seems a lot are just making assumptions and to be fair what they are saying is slanderous.your basically calling Fawaz out as a fraudster.good job he doesn’t read these forums or his top solicitors could be on your case.wverything would of been there for the solicitors to do the digging and if they couldn’t find anything then they have failed unless there wasn’t anything to find.

16.) 25 May 2019 08:28:48
Why would it have been a" mistake " a contract is a contract and is read and signed then becomes binding by law and it's not my my expertise.

17.) 25 May 2019 09:47:58
Sutton, I will make another assumption, any person that is really successful in business have something to hide, be it morally, or financially, maybe both.

18.) 25 May 2019 10:12:17
Sutton it’s not slanderous. These were the arguments put forward in court.

79 Of course it’s a mistake that’s why it’s gone to court. The ambiguity in the contract is the central issue. If there was no mistake this wouldn’t be dragged through the courts.

19.) 25 May 2019 12:08:53
Doesn't make it a mistake, fawaz had it written in he would be paid and the owners agreed, the reason they didn't pay was they said the club was in worst financial position than they were led to believe,so did not pay fawaz.
No mistake in the contract

20.) 25 May 2019 13:08:38
You’re half right. Without getting too technical Fawaz had given assurances that the liabilities were not above 6.6 million. The actual amount is around 10. Usually this would be enough for an action but Fawaz’s lawyers put in another clause which lessens their risk. That’s the mistake big Greek boys solicitors made. Once again if the contract was clear this wouldn’t go to court. Therefore a mistake in the contract.

21.) 25 May 2019 22:41:50
Sorry but there no mistake, its a written agreement which both sides signed for.
Its black and white in ink and the judge has precided over it.
It's only a mistake from your point of view, not a mistake in law.

22.) 26 May 2019 06:35:03
Fff79 I should of put bad football business man

23.) 26 May 2019 09:06:34
79 I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. When did i say it was a mistake in law? You’re just making things up now. I should have gave up when you didn’t understand what a QC is. Agree to disagree.

24.) 26 May 2019 10:27:39
The point is redtree there isn't an actual written mistake in the contract,if any mistake has been made it's by those that read it and signed it.

25.) 26 May 2019 11:58:32
You don’t know what you’re on about pal.

26.) 26 May 2019 13:11:31
When did I say it was a mistake in law? I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. Until 5 minutes ago you thought Randall was writing and negotiating the share purchase agreement for the Greek. Simply because he has QC next to his name. Best to agree to disagree.

27.) 26 May 2019 13:38:08
You said there's a mistake in the contract,I'm saying there is no mistake in the contract, its a dispute between two parties who signed a sale deal and one party then failed to pay what was agreed.
Simple.
Being QC Mr randall would have studied law and would be capable of giving advice,I actually never said he wrote the contract, take another look.
It also depends if he's just a barrister or higher and a barrister is higher than a solicitor,is he not? And a barrister is a legal adviser on law.

17 May 2019 09:27:06
Just read 32 players contracted beyond this summer wow with so many needing moved on think the only way to move them on is pay them off and that is going to prove costly. Also read Velios is looking forward to wearing the famous red shirt again, don't think so mate not gud enuff I'm afraid poor loan spells says no thanks. got to stop buying strikers with such rubbish statistics there's got to be some out there with a half decent track record.

Clough is god

1.) 17 May 2019 10:39:38
Statistics do not show everything, yes you want a forward to score regularly but should a forward hold up the ball well, brings others into play, and in general gets the team ticking, then as long as others are scoring he is a valuable part of the team.

With Velious though the poor loan spells, as you have said means we should try someone else, when they are not going to get much game time with Forest they have got to show the manager the mistake he has made by shinning out on loan, which he has not done.

The clubs trouble is it does not commit to a strategy, mainly because of the high turnover of managers, either go for experience to try for success in the short term, or go for bringing in younger players and getting them to grow as a team, but patience is needed for the latter which the club should announce that is their intention so the fans get on board as well.

2.) 17 May 2019 13:49:05
Vellios is not good enough end of.

3.) 17 May 2019 17:02:44
End of what Red always?
The world? The road? Can’t stand this saying. It’s nearly as bad as “at the end of the day” or “it’s not rocket science”
What does “end of” mean and what’s the point? Poor grammar. End of.

4.) 17 May 2019 21:43:25
Be the end of if the sheep get promoted where I live tap, only for a season though 🤣🤣🤣

15 May 2019 21:44:48
As much as it makes me want to vomit fair play to Lampard, first season as manager, young team and one game from the premier league. How I wish we could see our actually get it right rather than a lot of talk out of the blow hole. God I F*****g hate the shaggers.

Clough is god

1.) 15 May 2019 22:09:02
Yes fair play to Frank but a thorough investigation is needed on the FFP front. As soon as those loanees return to their parent clubs after Villa beat them at Wembley you will see a very different Derby team next season. It’s boom or bust time for them.

2.) 15 May 2019 22:19:25
We aren’t far off we finished 9th. Playoffs are a lottery.

3.) 16 May 2019 00:22:43
The sheep will be alright with regards to FFP, RedFrog. Largely because of the dodgy deal of selling the stadium then leasing it back. Still in a profit of about £7 million over the last two seasons.

Murphys record not that great 60 odd goals in 200 games. Maybe he's more of a feeder to the front man. Maybe he's like kevin campbell ian wright said he liked playing with campbell because he got in the way of defenders allowing wrighty space to run in and score. To be honest if we get a striker would like to see someone at least capable of scoring 15 odd goals in the championship.

Agree need to let the manager make what he thinks is the right signings. When some managers get it right you probably have a mix of youth, experienced players and ones that can offer something as a decent squad player. Trouble with us is we've been all over the place for years from top to bottom so it affects the team we put out on the pitch. We've had players leave who have gone on to do well at other clubs, if the foundations of the club are sound it spreads through the to the team creating a better working environment and players hopefully can excel. It seems we are getting it right off the pitch let's hope finally we can get it right on the pitch.

As long as we shop out the floating deadwood can't grumble with a free. He can still offer something over the season especially regarding injuries and the nitty gritty of the colder, wetter months. Still we don't want too many free 30 something transfers but not a bad freebie in my eyes.
