Thank you for all the kind words chaps, they mean a lot. Dylan Thomas being quoted on here, I am deeply touched, Stokey mate!
One of my best memories on this planet and in my life, I got to see Brian Clough's battlers in the flesh. I got to see a Forest side who could attack slow or attack at speed! Some great wins, but Man United away, we won 4-0 at Old Trafford, could have been 6/7 nil.
So I've had a very long time supporting Forest, first game I was 8, in the Trent End, behind a girder - we lost 0-1 to Oxford, a night match! I've supported them ever since, home and away!
So some great memories to take with me, but not this season, this one is forgettable in every way!
With regard to Fulham at home on Sunday, I want to see big Taiwo up front, CHO and OH supplying the ammunition.
MGW playing behind Taiwo as back up. Anderson and Sangare breaking up the midfield and supporting the back 4!
Please VP Do not let Marato onto the team sheet or the pitch!
COYR.

Bowie, mate, read down. The guy is pretty poorly. Love you all. ❤️
13 Mar 2026 20:07:14
Don't worry, RedFrog, mate. Some people have no hope of redemption in life!
We keep smiling while they grimace with every breath!

From my own experience Keeff, you need to set yourself goals for your own physical improvement. Write them down, from the simplest of those goals to achieve to the hardest, from 1 to 10.
For example, and I know it sounds pathetic now, my first goal was to be able to wear prosthetic legs sitting down for 4 hours. My second goal was to walk around my kitchen on those new legs holding onto the worktops.
Hopefully you get the picture.
Then, work through your list with grit, determination and passion. You know all about those traits as a Veteran! To start ticking off achieving your goals in rehab, I found a massive help both physically and mentally.
13 Mar 2026 21:26:46
Cheers, Lego, mate. All this stuff does help! I walk every day, do physio every 2/3 days, treadmill when the weather is crap!
Plus, I throw my radio at the wall every 4/5 days listening to the Forest commentary! I've been banned from the TV for swearing too much lol.
Cheers.

I do apologise keef, asked the eds to delete this reply. Sorry sir.
{Ed001's Note - sorry only just seen it.€}
13 Mar 2026 15:04:38
I feel just as low as everyone else on here.
I watched in my local pub up north and my fellow locals who mainly support Leeds or Middlesbrough were actually laughing at our abject clueless attempt at attacking.
I might upset a few on here but I think Jesus and Lucca are two of the worst players ever to play for us. Every bit as bad as Silenzi, Dias and Eaden.

That's you feeling robbed, Gazz, bud. Don't beat yourself up. As for Jesus, I think the laddie has potential. He works hard, just needs someone like Wood to guide him. Just my opinion. And you keep chanting for the minor leagues, sir.
13 Mar 2026 17:34:24
Jesus can be a good player. Clearly, no confidence in front of goal. I reckon Lucca is depressed or homesick, as he might not be a footy genius, but no way is he as bad as he's looked. Stupidly risky signing, when we needed some experience up front for the run in.
13 Mar 2026 17:53:02
Homesick, he was staying at Butlins for Taylor's sake, only been there a week.
13 Mar 2026 13:40:02
We will lose our “big guns” (Murillo, Anderson, MGW and perhaps Sanghere) anyway if we go down? What do we think?
Actually, it’s probably irrelevant what we think it’ll be up to our hierarchy whether we go for broke ….

13 Mar 2026 17:40:18
I think we will regardless whatever situation we're in.
13 Mar 2026 13:37:21
Disappointing last night, especially as we put out a strong team and lost Cunha. The ref and the waterlogged pitch were terrible, both favoured them but they are not the reason we lost.
We may have compromised ourselves against Fulham. Also the one nil result may well work against us in the Spurs game insofar as making our hierarchy believe we can turn it around in the second leg by fielding another full strength team?
I’m reading Patrick O Brian Jack Aubrey sea novels atm. Great novelist and expert on 18th century naval warfare (and society generally).
Whilst counter intuitive, apparently, if a ship was outgunned and being pursued by a superior enemy (particularly the American super heavy frigates of the Constitution class), it was common to ditch your guns, particularly the heaviest calibre over the side to increase speed, and cut your losses by not having the enemy take them if captured.
Perhaps the time is coming to do the same with our European adventure by fielding a weak team, taking the loss and concentrating on Premiership survival?

Commander of the Far Side of the Empire.
14 Mar 2026 11:01:13
Bse, mate, the film starring Russell Crowe is a conflation of 3 of Patrick O'Brian's novels. Typically, the enemy ship, the Acheron, is French. In the book it's USS Norfolk, an American warship, which is outwitted and its crew captured by Lucky Jack Aubrey….
That’s Hollywood, and mustn’t upset the Americans or their version of history.
I’ve been on the USS Constitution, a super heavy frigate (Old Ironside), which is moored in Boston harbour and still, like HMS Victory, operated as a serving warship by the (extremely courteous and knowledgeable) US Navy crew.
What they don’t tell you is that, though Constitution survived and captured or sunk many British ships, the Royal Navy managed to sink or disable the other 5 ships of that class, despite being outgunned and facing a much greater sized crew, weight of shot and armour.
They’ll be telling us they conquered Canada, didn’t have Detroit burnt to the ground and captured the Enigma machine off a sinking German submarine next. ????

Do we have any youth/B team players who can put the ball in the net?

At this point mate, we should be looking at every option, the ladies side and netball team included. ?
13 Mar 2026 13:00:55
Jota Silva was a good finisher and we shipped him out. I think he's on loan at Besiktas. Kalimuendo has 2 goals in the Europa League and he's on loan too.
Surely, all this can't just be Edu?
13 Mar 2026 13:13:16
I always liked Jota Silva, Cyclist. Always gave 100% and made things happen, often niggly too and in the opposition's face.
13 Mar 2026 13:43:20
We always like a past player when they've gone. They were both crap when they got game time for us, rightly shipped out, and should never have been wearing a Forest shirt in the first place. And, Cyclist, mainly Edu with some of Mr M involvement.
13 Mar 2026 17:36:18
I was saying Jota was a good finisher and needed a run of starts when he was still here. I also thought Kalimuendo had potential and we should give him time and minutes before he was farmed out.
Both are more likely to score than Lucca or Ndoye, so...
13 Mar 2026 01:13:14
I'm thinking our only chance of staying up. Is if Wood gets back for the last 6 games, which is mooted.
It is clearly our problem when can't take the chances we create. Last year he scored more than his XG [expected goals].
Beyond that especially after tonight I can't see how we score.
Put my ticket for Sunday on the exchange. Would rather watch it at home. Too many disapointing journeys home this season. They mount up.
More managers than home league wins this season.

It's always good to see a player back after an injury. However, Wood took a season or two to get going when he was fit! So it is unrealistic to expect him to save us. To be fair, that might be the case with Jesus and Lucca, ie next season they would be knocking them in for fun. However, our Premiership survival is surely at stake. There is a player, called Tiawo, who kept Wood out of the Forest side back then.
He must be given a chance. I could not believe he was not even on the bench last night. He has already once got us out of a mess before, so let him do it again. We know his character is such that it's the opposition he would upset - no one else. If we don't score more goals, we will absolutely go down.
13 Mar 2026 13:44:21
The smiling assassin, no thanks.
12 Mar 2026 23:20:14
It certainly seems like a race to the bottom now. We won't score 2 goals against Mitgdyland away.
At least Williams and Sangare got some rest, and Aina can come on late if we use Netz early on V Fulham.
It really said it all to bring on Lucca and Bakwa, our donkeys, so we would never score.
This season is a wipe out. Dyche would have got something out of it for us, but for player power.
And the Club tried to price people out of seats.
Mind you, worst ref I've seen all season. Makes our refs look brilliant in comparison.

I see a prediction. We are bound to score 2 against the Midget-Land now.

Hola Reds! Legolas reporting in from Barcelona.
I have to say that I hope this is now the 'beginning of the end' of our ill prepared venture into Europe again.
I like the saying 'Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail'. This seems to have become the Forest way over the last few years.
Anyway - back to my Tapas and white wine now. Take care all and here's to the hope of our PL survival.

My brother lives in the old town in Barca. Enjoy your break, mate.
13 Mar 2026 13:21:43
It's a great place to be, Lego. Will your legs get you to the top of the Sagrada Familia? I think it's completed this year. Took around 70 years to build, didn't it? The view is tremendous.
I don't know if they managed to factor in disabled access?
Did you manage to pass on Professor Brian Cox's starry night sky observations to Mrs Legolas? Was she impressed or comatose? ? ? ?
12 Mar 2026 22:12:58
I was going to post after this result, but decided I have better things to do!
Would love to say COYR, but my time on this planet is getting shorter. Cancer is a b****!

God Bless.
13 Mar 2026 05:22:48
Keep going Keeff, our thoughts are with you, brother. ??
13 Mar 2026 07:46:43
Good luck, mate. Health is something we all take for granted; we always think about it, and in a lot of cases too late, but it always brings out the best in us. May the cloud over you disappear, and sunlight warm your face and make you smile.
From an unhealthy, fat Old Forest fan till I die ? ? ?. PS I don't believe in God, only the people around me.
13 Mar 2026 08:08:13
Keep battling, Keef, and never give up. Most importantly, question everything you're told. No surrender.
13 Mar 2026 13:25:52
For once I'm lost for words, Keef, so I'll use Dylan Thomas's instead.
"Do not go gentle into that good night
But rage, rage against the dying of the light"
Keep fighting, mate. I lost my dearly beloved sister aged 56 to breast cancer. It's a b******.
All the best to you. ? ?
12 Mar 2026 22:12:28
That’s got relegation nailed all over it. Pathetic going forward, clueless loser for a manager. I’m finished with Forest, not wasting another minute of my life this season watching tripe like that. See you all on live chat from time to time, but how many times can I sit there and watch the same old crap regurgitating week after week? Despite spending £180m, we have nothing up front.
Absolutely nothing. Too slow in transition; Jesus and Lucca not making any clever movement; crosses going into the box with nobody there. This team is relegation fodder, and we will implode in the Championship under huge debt.
The season of Edu and four managers. Wow, just wow.

12 Mar 2026 23:51:05
We won't have huge debt in the Championship. We will net a couple of hundred million from player sales minimum, plus 3 seasons of parachute payments.

"Eee Ooh Dares!!!! "Froggers" (Do you like that? ?) Eee Ooh Dares!!!".
???
13 Mar 2026 05:56:44
Spot on, Froggy. Can't fault ya, spend the money on your wife & kids, & treat the whole family to great days out, instead of lining those charlatans' pockets. I would go & watch that tripe if they gave me a private jet & a royal box.
