People are forgetting that it is a results business. We cannot go on indefinetly leaking all these goals. We were close to being relegated last season only saved by Britt's goals. Warburton has known long enough about the poor leaking defence, he does not seem able to address the problem. It is all down to how long the owners give him, I suspect not for much longer. The goals against appear to more per game than when MW was here last season. The game against Bolton is very important, we do not want three losses on the bounce and more goals against.

You are dead right Jake 70 we the supporters can see it and i am sure his team can, he never addressed the problem in the summer and i think πŸ€” the way he is talking it is not going to be in Jan rumour has it we are interested in a 21 year old midfielder from St.Mirren when what we need is a CB who can open up defences and control the midfield not some youngster from the 3 tier of the Scottish league.
I can see what he is doing but when it goes wrong he doesn't change the format just plods on the same old way, he is not Guardiola or Wenger and we certainly don't have the players to play tippy tappy football as for Marinakis we know he has an itchy trigger finger so find a plan B or it will be P45😈

2.) 06 Dec 2017 18:36:22
The problem he has to get rid of Hobbs ,Mills and Fox first and that won't happen till end of the season.
Not his fault two of them are more or less permenantly injured and drawing a big wage, get them off the wage bill and he'll sign a couple of centre backs, they won't leave till their contracts are up,this is their last big payday, takes time to get players in and you have to move players out as well.
Cohen and Vaughan ad ward will almost certainly be gone as well in the summer,
Vellios will be as well or even sooner and we might sell a player like Osborn if the money is right.
It's a big rebuild that's required you can't do it in one window, three at least.

3.) 07 Dec 2017 06:46:25
Like has been said ff this should of been a priority pre season.its funny how it’s changed from the start of the season as well.at the start people were saying we don’t need new defenders, now almost everyone wants new defenders.i think some fans seem to think warbo is a miracle worker but he’s just an average manager doing an average job.pm had 1less point and a 1goal better goal difference last season under far worse conditions and he was hounded like crazy from October onwards.

4.) 07 Dec 2017 08:45:06
Sutton_red85

The players were not happy with PM, they complained they were not fit enough, what is their complaint now i wonder?

5.) 07 Dec 2017 09:16:19
If you can't ship defenders out first,You can't bring more in,how do you get rid of sick notes like Hobbs and Fox,when they're under contract and who's going to take them with their record,
Both injured again, both a waste of space, bled the club dry for too long, but impossible to get rid of till the summer.

6.) 07 Dec 2017 13:06:12
FF79

I think it is not their intention to be injury prone?

7.) 07 Dec 2017 14:02:14
They were injury prone when we signed them,Hobbs in particular, waste of money

8.) 07 Dec 2017 15:33:44
Off course they were injury prone when we signed them, and still are, but as for being a waste of money that is down to the person that allowed them to be signed, and who wanted them signed.

I would be surprised though if either are glad each time they get injured, would you want that for yourself FF79?

9.) 07 Dec 2017 16:39:39
There was only one criteria when fawaz was in charge of signing players "good eyesight" πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

10.) 07 Dec 2017 17:18:07
Nice one.

Shame he had no foresight.

02 Dec 2017 17:49:30
Another 4 goals conceded. Six goals conceded in 2 games. I know Warburton has his fans but I am not one of them. He should go now. He was here last season and if he knew what he was doing shouild have sorted the defence out in the close season, he had money to spend. I think if our owner was not involved in an up and coming trial Warburton would be sacked.

1.) 02 Dec 2017 18:04:26
Totally agree just travelling back from ipswich we where poor the people I've spoke to today ain't happy one of our best players warming the bench in barrie mckay although he wouldn't have stopped 4 goals lol but once again I'm sure MW will be saying we made silly mistakes but we had a lot of possession well let me tell Mr Warburton possession doesn't get you points on the table we where poor today and Bolton won't be a walk over either

2.) 02 Dec 2017 18:57:29
had 69% possession and still conceded 4 goals which shows other teams are better with the ball than us even though we try to play football β€œthe right way”

26 Nov 2017 20:15:23
Warnock must look at the fixtures and know he has a guaranteed 3 points against us every time. He knows how to beat us. let's face it it is not that difficult. We are going nowhere with this manager.

Jake70

1.) 26 Nov 2017 20:46:19
Jake,

We only have 6 or 7 pieces to the jigsaw to really go places with this manager?

We are not even 12 months on from the carnage of Fawaz and the car crash of Davies beforehand so give Warbo a break we are moving forward in a sustainable way!

2.) 26 Nov 2017 20:52:00
Warnock v Forest. Played 20 Won 5 Draw 8 Lost 7. Maybe we should watch more Warnock videos?

3.) 26 Nov 2017 21:41:00
Red
Agree. People have very short memories.

When the deal with the Americans collapsed in January our club was on its knees. The club under the previous owner was in a dire situation and close to folding.

Our new owners have had barely 6 months, and our manager one transfer window. He is investing in young players and besides the 6 of our own on show today we had Dowell 18 years old McKay 20 and Clough 21. He still has several players nearing the end of their contracts who will leave in the Summer.

He needs at the very least, this season and next.

4.) 26 Nov 2017 22:28:44
Lol jake were a lot further along than we've been with most of our managers in the past

20 Nov 2017 08:49:39
I suppose loosing only 1 - 0 is a success consdering previous loses and the goals conceded. We seem to go one step forward and 2 back all time. Oh for some clean sheets.

Jake70

1.) 20 Nov 2017 09:14:48
I thought we got a clean sheet against Qpr?

Until Derby and Ipswich play their game in hand only 2 points off the play offs, so it is not as if the play off teams are doing much better than us.

2.) 20 Nov 2017 17:38:12
Anybody seems able to beat anybody else in this League.

3.) 20 Nov 2017 18:40:09
That's why it's such a great league mate!!! Who needs the prancing, preening, premier league anyway!!! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

4.) 20 Nov 2017 19:05:56
Definately think Vellios should get a look in now. what have we got to lose, really think Cummings is not up to this standard of football. just my opinion lads.

01 Nov 2017 09:10:20
Back to square one again. If we were to do anything this season we should have convincily beat Reading. They are a poor team on a bad run, rumours that their mnanager is about to be sacked. 3 goals conceded, just not good enough. I still think Warburton is vunerable to be sacked. We cannot keep conceding that is 5 in the last 2 ganes.

Bezman We do not want beautiful football at the moment. We need results and clean sheets, it is not as though we are unlucky and loosing One Nil. We are loosing at home and leaking too many goals. How many losses do there have to be before the owners sack the manager ? Not many more I am afraid. Another loss tomorrow and MW will be gone.

Redfin If we loose the next 2 games we will be in a relegation scrap, we are virtually in one now. I would think we will have a foreign manger next time, no doubt all ready being lined up.

Talk of work in progress is a sick joke. Is there a manger since Brian Clough who has a worst goals against recorder for the number of games played at this point in the season ? I do not think so. As soon as the owners own problems are out of the way and if we are still leaking goals for fun the Warvburton will be gone,

syred I do not think it will be a knee jerk reaction if Warburton is sacked after the Burton. I cannot remember such a bad run of defeats and leaking goals, virtually 2 every game. The manager does not appear to know how to change or stop this. He has had money to spend and been well backed by the new owners. He should haved brought in 2 centre halves in the close season. Surely he must have known last season that the defence needed sorting out. I would imagiane a new manager is being sourced, no doubt it will be a foreign manager.

bserd I agree with you. I really cannot see Waburton holding on to his job. A defeat or draw with Burton will in my view see him sacked. He has known about the defence since last season. What happened to clean sheets ? When we loose which is all time it is never even One Nil. When thing are going against us he has no idea how to change things.

This could be seen as one of the most important wins of the season for sake of MW and the whole squad. We had lost 2 on the bounce and loosing 3 would have been a distater. At last a clean sheet. We can buld on this, what a difference a win make to the league table and confidence.

Redinexile We cannot recruit your suggestion of 2-3 players until January unless there a free Agents available which will only be scraps. We could be relegated by then. We have recruited plenty of attackers and midfielders, however we needed central defenders. Fox and Mills are not up to it, how many times have they been questioned on this site alone ? Is Worrall ready yet. Manciene's form has also been questioned. I was not in favour of retaining Cohen or even Vaughan as they are both so injury prone, neither are fit at present.
