OK Mon and Co season done with last chance saloon in my book. Its not about winning today but how u play style and effort. Drop the dross that's been playing since u came in players and style show why we should invest our support in u and the players. No loans from now on unless they are staying give some people a chance to show you what it means to wear the badge and be on the pitch to play and not just collecting a wage packet. Legends should stay that way not ruin it by trying to come back.

1.) 22 Apr 2019 10:37:40
Never a true word spoken. Good post Realistic.

2.) 22 Apr 2019 17:51:46
Will that do for you Realistic?

3.) 22 Apr 2019 17:50:37
Great win today MON should be sacked now, if he can't see what a player Carvalho is then he hasn't got a clue!!!!

4.) 22 Apr 2019 18:25:09
The players appreciate him so why can’t the manager.again his to pig headed to admit he messed up not playing him.

5.) 22 Apr 2019 18:48:06
Everything good this season has come through carvalho i doubt he'll be a forest player next season and will be shipped off to our "parent club" like to believe in mon but feel football has moved on since his days at keeping a mediocre leicester side in the premiership

6.) 23 Apr 2019 07:24:58
How many games has Carvallaho played where the game has simply passed him by. Been out muscled out thought and his second touch a tackle? Talent he has no doubt but he is not always this good. I said a while back that he needed with drawing from the battle and spend a little time watching from the bench or stands to get a better feel for his position. Maybs this has worked wonders for him and he is being better mamaged bu oneil?

Boro had a makeshift defence and with oneil putting willing runners in cash and osborn it gave carvallho the space to operate. With 3 at the back you coukd argue it was genious by oneil??
However carvallaho looked a different player and man yesterday free of any shackles and gave praise where it is due he looked extemely good yesterdsy and well done and fairplay to him.

7.) 23 Apr 2019 21:04:39
Carvalho impressed me just as much with his tracking back, especially the first half. Good to see him doing the ugly side of the game, not just the flash parts. As the cliche goes, he's set the bar for future performances.

8.) 24 Apr 2019 09:37:03
To be fair MON has only ever said that Carvalho was a talented player. He does not seem to want to get rid of him since this week he said he felt it appropriate that JC has seen what a struggle 9 months of solid football is like. What I've noticed time and again is that when he plays alongside both Osborn and Lolley, their inter-passing seems to be spot on, so these two players tend to help get the best out of him. If Grabban was a little less selfish on the ball he might prosper more alongside JC too.

9.) 24 Apr 2019 09:37:57
Great to see us have such good win and sparks new hope for next year.

What we don't see is what is going on behind the scenes and on the training ground. Carvalho is still very young and maybe they have also been building up his physicality and confidence. I don't think we would spend all that money on someone with no talent.

Hopefully he has set himself a standard now to follow, well done Forest.

10.) 28 Apr 2019 20:29:25
Sutton u will be fine the sheep might make play offs

28 Dec 2018 20:19:17
Don't think we will get anything on Saturday as I think Millwall had us sussed last time. Let us have plenty of the ball defend in numbers, lives on the line stop it at any cost oof it anywhere and when in possession long high balls into our box and wait for us to give stupid free kicks away around our box. Gun is loaded AK you know what's coming prove us all wrong?

1.) 28 Dec 2018 22:08:58
Well if you have watched us away that is not going to happen bar something happening outside the managers control!

2.) 28 Dec 2018 23:52:55
So what your saying now red is the manger isn't in control?
We are just an away side, waste of time watching us at home,WHICH by the way is what most of us do🤔😎🤔

3.) 29 Dec 2018 00:02:04
millwall will come at us from the kick off which you would expect them being at home so karanka will deploy his usual tactics of just try and catch them on the counter it might work against millwall if they(millwall) don't score early, but personally I think millwall will score 1st 5 mins and win 2-0, hope i'm wrong and we smash them but I think come after the leeds game barring 2 really good performances and wins karanka will be sacked, I said after the preston game I could only see us picking up 3 pts from the next 4 games and it might be worse than that lol

4.) 29 Dec 2018 10:44:57
We will win 5-6 nil today 😆

5.) 29 Dec 2018 11:47:37
I can remember millwal beating a high flying forest with a young teddy sherringham on the scoresheet for the lions. I think they beat us 2 0
Today is a belter of a prospect. Nothing kess than a win to save AK whjch i think we will get, a stay if exection msybe as leeds on tuesday pivitol. But fir gidsake coyr!!!!

6.) 29 Dec 2018 14:41:08
No way Skeggsy!!??
We'll go 6-0 up. then draw 6-6!!!

7.) 29 Dec 2018 15:50:14
Enough is enough, utter tripe. Don’t blame the players it’s the fing Manager and his 4 2 3 1 (does not work) tactics.

Millwall are garbage, Forest even worse. It’s about creating chances, the more chances you create the more goals you will score. Simple game

8.) 29 Dec 2018 17:24:27
Goodbye Karanka!

9.) 29 Dec 2018 17:25:23
Looks like the pressure has got to AK ridiculous substitutions again, I'm now hearing he's sacked

10.) 29 Dec 2018 17:31:40
Hope that is true. I never wanted the bloody Spaniard in the first płace, only got Boro up because Brighton bottled it.

Lets be honest football has been dire at times.

11.) 30 Dec 2018 09:18:33
Well I wasn’t too far wrong I said Millwall would score 1st 5 mins took them 9 mins n said 2-0 finished 1-0, forest a lot of possession again but couldn’t do anything with it, couple of lolley efforts from long range

03 Nov 2018 08:10:12
I know he likes 2 holding midfielders but can't he adopt that into 352 or 3511? We have lots of centre half options full backs that have legs to play wingbacks lots of midfield options to defend and attack Grabone or Murphy with lolly or cav behind? Far more tactical options in this formation attacking and defending. I see the formation at the moment as cluttered in front of the 2 centre halves no where to pass to or clear if needed. Standing on each others toes? COYR.

1.) 03 Nov 2018 10:41:02
I think we need to resign ourselves to the 4-2-3-1 set up and just go with the flow.

31 Jan 2018 21:00:22
Carayol joined the tractor boys.

1.) 31 Jan 2018 21:35:37
mills gone now mutual consent

2.) 31 Jan 2018 22:00:32
2 great bits of news

So around this time last year the rumours and discussions were had about a striker Marriot and he was over valued and unproven at this level. Frankly was quick to jump in and pay the money and develop him alongside older Experienced strikers. Still not the finished striker by a mile but worth the gamble in my opinion. We bought a journey injury prone striker who can score but lacks the ambition now just seeing out his time. We are better than that we want hungry players all over the pitch.

1.) 18 May 2019 10:04:31
Marriot not the finished striker, but worth the gamble in your opinion, once the season is over you decide to state that. 🤔

I do agree with you that we need hungry players

2.) 18 May 2019 11:17:53
I'll play for us I haven't eaten in days.

3.) 18 May 2019 11:37:54
I will for a KFC!!!🐔🐔🐔

4.) 18 May 2019 11:51:19
Do they do a bargain bucket that you can be sick in when you have finished. 😂

17 May 2019 07:22:53
Two of our most hated teams in sheep n dirty Leeds but what a game end to end high tempo with guts n passion from both teams. The noise from both sets of fans was amazing. Shame its not us. All four play off games shows how far off we are from that level. Question is have we the players staff and ambition to compete like the four play off teams.

1.) 17 May 2019 10:08:41
Ambition YES. Staff POSSIBLY. Players NO not by a long way yet I'm affraid.

2.) 17 May 2019 11:30:14
Realistic,we beat Derby,Leeds (which we should have done the double over,if it wasn't for Roofe's blatant arm)
. 5-5 against Villa, and should have beaten West Brom,if it wasn't for stupid refereeing decisions.
Just say'n.

3.) 17 May 2019 12:32:57
Just saying we lost to most the sides at the bottom cause we are ly up for the big games? We need to be consistent top to bottom I know you can't beat them all but as we were all told when kids it's not the winning but the taking part! That is what we do? Look at the kids now there not allowed to have competition incase it upsets some other kid?. It needs to be not about winning but doing your absolute best and put your heart and sole into every game and walk of the pitch head held high as a team and individuals win loose or draw.

4.) 17 May 2019 19:38:48
Our record against the top teams stands up against the best so the squad was capable. We would have been 6th but for the robbery and disruption of management change.

Very competitive league and we should not be making wholesale changes but move on the fringe players.

5.) 17 May 2019 21:05:39
Ok red just for once stick your neck on the line and tell us in your opinion who these fringe players are and how many?

26 Apr 2019 13:44:42
And for the next two weeks I'll be hoping Bristol City win both games🤞as much as I like to see rams lose in the play offs they might just fluke it?

1.) 26 Apr 2019 15:03:20
Norwich. Sheff U and Villa for me R68.

2.) 26 Apr 2019 22:31:45
Beware the Baggies, Villa haven't got a good record against them.

19 Apr 2019 14:22:51
Not one to moan about the ref but he is so utd fan. That said what a stupid challenge from a clown. Thank god we can't go down cause if we had to fight for survival we would be down. This team n manger not fit to wear the badge get rid.

1.) 19 Apr 2019 15:00:07
Realistic red. In total agreement

14 Apr 2019 13:58:56
I believe and yes I am a mind reader 🙄 Mon wanted a fairytale ending for his career at his beloved Forest (who he turned down for bigger clubs) of a 18 month contract 6 months to steady the ship maybe a playoff visit then big clear out and purchase his new squad and run away with the championship to the promised land of the prem then retire on a high and a managerial legend and leave it to Roy to carry on or fail. OR IS THIS WHAT WE DREAM OF🤔👍

1.) 14 Apr 2019 14:17:22
Brain Clough said something like, if god wanted football to be played in the air he would have put a pitch up there.

Martin won a lot playing the game how it should be played playing under the great pairing of Clough and Taylor, sadly he has abandoned their teachings, if they were alive they would despair as i and some others do.

2.) 14 Apr 2019 14:26:41
Did you miss the the football his Celtic team played? Despite everything you read about Clough Shilton mostly kicked the ball long. The thing about Clough was that the team were good enough to win the second ball and play from the half way line. He did also have his team defend well and at times deep but had a team full of pace who could break quickly. We haven't got the players to do either hence everyone's idea of perfect football is just not possible with this team. We need to get real and not in some fantasy football land of change manager and all these underperformers will suddenly become world beaters.

3.) 14 Apr 2019 15:03:32
Syred, you’re absolutely right mate ,clough played a mixture of long ball and incisive passing from the half way line . With the right players it’s the same style. I remember everyone saying Billy Davies played hoof ball - I reality he didn’t . Personally not interested in tapping the ball aroukd in your own half .

4.) 14 Apr 2019 15:09:58
2star, I agree, i do not like keeping possession just for possessions sake.

When you have the ball look to use it to force the other team into making mistakes.

5.) 14 Apr 2019 15:37:24
It is true that a lot has changed since Warby, where everyone on here was despising tippy-tappy football with passes sideways and backwards just to keep the ball and not getting anywhere. Let's just hope for a top 10 finish this year and a great clear-out and new players to take us forward. I'm not sure it's going to work that way, but we can always hope.

6.) 14 Apr 2019 17:39:18
Syred, having looked up what you said about Martin at Celtic, he left them in 2005, that is fourteen years (14) years ago. That is a lot of football played since then, and most of it rubbish.

7.) 14 Apr 2019 21:04:42
If you don't like seeing clubs pass the ball around in their own half, then your saying?
Man city
And many more don't entertain you then?
It's simple while you have the ball the opposition can't hurt you,the trick is not to give it away with bad passing

8.) 15 Apr 2019 07:26:03
Ff, The difference with some of those teams is when they have the ball they pass it with purpose, constantly looking to put the opposition under pressure to make them make mistakes, yes they are better at keeping the ball than our players, that is why they play in the top leagues in Europe.

Under both Aitor and Warburton in some games we had sixty percent of the possession, the team did very little with it, they seemed to treat it as a light training session. Not looking to put teams under pressure to make them make mistakes, but waited, waited, and waited, hoping the other team would make mistakes.

There is a massive difference between the two.

A lot of good points made creepy and agree a clear out is needed. Forget the transfer fees paid or expected if you want rid get rid even if for free drop the wages long term. Maybe good old ebay would be if use?. As much as the Bolton situation is not good the players need to take some responsibility a winning side will always get good crowds and money through the door so it's not all down to the greedy fat cats at the top, can't be many more big money men left willing to gamble millions on second rate clubs. Let's hope our money man keeps his head above water and investing in the club and not just player funds. Foundation is the key.

Think we hate the owner of the pies more??
Think how much bigger the club would be if the pies shut shop?? Extra 700 fans and a training pitch/ youth ground pitch in walking distance 😂😂

Think we would mostly all agree it's not the club but the dumb ass who runs it we would sooner fall on his big fat mouth and not the club? The stags should be given more of our up and coming youth to gain experience and also keeps them close to home and also easy to monitor. You don't see the stags sagging us of other than a bit of banter

{Ed001's Note - if you send them to a local team on loan, you can have them back at the club for training once or twice a week with the Forest side.}
