Let’s get the head coach position sorted pronto.
Any uncertainty is not wanted after the chaos of last season.
CARLO.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 May 2024 19:14:04
Agree Carlo and whoever is manager needs to be backed with signings and sales that HE SEES FIT not what those behind the scenes require.

23 May 2024 19:16:48
The owner has asked Mendes to look for a new manager, according to the post. If he didn't get involved last time we could have had Glazner as coach, instead of mendes's client Nuno.

24 May 2024 15:34:48
Must be true then if it's the post ????.

24 May 2024 19:54:42
Where do you get your information, a palm reader on the pier?.

22 May 2024 23:01:12
I hope the Duty Ed is OK with me posting this as it is for a good cause!. Just as a heads-up/ reminder - on 3rd August I will be attempting to climb Pen Y Fan mountain Wales in a wheelchair. There will be a team around me to help push me during the harder parts and for safety reasons as I will be doing this with prosthetic legs off to reduce weight. If any of my fellow-Reds would like to join me for this it would be great to see you there. We'll be going out for a meal and a 'couple' of beers the night before. Please let me know if you want to join me on this adventure. I'll be posting a fundraiser page in a month or so time.

Proud of ya legless ???.

23 May 2024 05:07:11
Super proud too mate, best of luck!

23 May 2024 06:29:42
Awesome Legless.
Will be a fantastic achievement.

23 May 2024 09:53:17
People like you legless make the world a better place.

23 May 2024 12:20:56
Good luck and well done Legless! ??.

23 May 2024 15:02:10
Best of luck Legless, I find it hard to get up Donkey hill here in Nottingham, give us a heads up, if any national t v are reporting the event. ??.

23 May 2024 21:15:36
Fair play mate, strength of character you've got is off the scale, absolute respect to that.

23 May 2024 22:01:49
Many thanks for your kind words of support Gents. It will be a tough challenge for me to complete - but I think if you don't challenge yourself (disabled or not) you can end up in a rut. All monies raised will go to the new wheelchair rugby club called the Celtic Warriors (Cornwall) which I helped to set up to, hopefully, get more disabled people back into sport. Watch this space!

23 May 2024 22:51:00
Last post tonight. Whilst I despise the people who claim to be disabled in order to receive benefits, I will support anyone with a 'true disability' to the hilt. Sport was my saviour in my recovery from leg amputations 3 years ago. Hopefully, my Pen Y Fan climb will enable other disabled people to experience the same benefits as I did in their own recovery - through sport.

24 May 2024 18:21:24
That skint the NHS around here mate most go around on safeway shopping trolleys, they actually play trolley rugby ?. They get an hour, when the trolleys fkd, the final whistle doesn't come for end of game. They've got to find another £1 coin for new trolly and 2nd half.

24 May 2024 20:44:26
We'll be playing trolly rugby down here Bowie unless we raise more funds!

22 May 2024 22:53:42
Wow so now reading Bayern Munich in advanced talks with Kompany. got to be a load of tosh, surely.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 May 2024 10:38:13
It's a case of style over content.

23 May 2024 12:26:52
I was amazed at all the praise for Kompanys efforts at Burnley. Basically he sacrificed any slight chance they had of staying up by insisting that they play Manchester City’s passing pressing style with insufficiently skilled players. Cloughie always said he would never ask his players to do what they weren’t capable of doing.
Kompany was a great player and you could see him getting frustrated. But he should have done a Dyche and made Burnley difficult to beat and organised like Everton rather than 1970 Brazil. Just ludicrous at times. I mean our ex lad Muric isn’t chuffing Ederson and never will be.

23 May 2024 17:50:43
Just because your a very good footballer does not make you a great coach, Mourinho, Warnock, Wenger and Cooper, and at present McKenna didn't make a impact as a footballer.
And just an hunch, I think Cooper will be the next Sunderland coach.

23 May 2024 19:57:30
I thought he was favourite for the Plymouth job vespa ?.

24 May 2024 10:04:10
Looks like Plymouth are going for Rooney, must be the sea air sends some people wacky.

24 May 2024 19:55:40
Deffo red vespa
You just replied to one ??.

22 May 2024 21:51:16
Shows how finely balanced the form of a footballer is and whether he fits the system or enjoys playing in a team that suits?
Lookman was at Everton and deemed not good enough?
Tonight he's scored a hat trick in europa league final for atalanta
Not always about the players ability
It's also about enjoying and fitting in with the teamates, plus being happy in your living environment.

23 May 2024 07:54:04
I think Freuler the same, didn't work at Forest but playing out of his skin at Bologna.

23 May 2024 07:54:12
I think Freuler the same, didn't work at Forest but playing out of his skin at Bologna.

22 May 2024 18:44:27
Btw i think we need a set peace coach on here these days.
(Should i explain it to some, cough cough)
Sangare, awonwi I'd rather have china ornaments. Better looking less frail. Cost less from del boy.
Mgw reds, the lad gets bad press. And deserves a lot. Especially his price, wages etc.
But the times ya see him rallying the reds with that look in his eyes. He needs to work on his free kicks, set pieces loads more though. Reds you look at your Gascoignes etc. Total piss takers but absolutely loved training. Don't get me wrong gazza was totally gifted. Ok ok forget the past I'm on about footballing. Psycho that's all he done most of the time. The lot of them are either rusty on set pieces or we really have a sh1t coach set up.
And that goes for our defending. Your just expecting the ball back of our net against anyone. Or is it again players not putting the hour's in or coaching.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 May 2024 21:40:44
I suspect your last sentence is the reality Bowie - a mix of neither.

22 May 2024 17:51:03
Add Toffolo to that list also please!

Agree0 Disagree0

22 May 2024 21:45:20
I don't agree with you RHR. I think Toffolo, whilst not the best, is a very reliable squad-player. I'd keep him.

22 May 2024 22:06:46
Origi is not our player and gone back to Milan
Toffolo is back up
We have to have a squad
Two players for every position
So we get rid of Williams and Toffolo like you say yes?
So then we don't have left or right backs, except for Aina to cover for either?
So then we need to sign two right backs and two left backs?
Then you want danillo gone, not sangare?
You then want two centre backs gone
Unbelievable
You have us on minus twenty points overnight
We got four points for breaching it this season, you would take it to a new level pal
J7st saying.

22 May 2024 23:13:54
Good post DTP. I totally agree with you.

23 May 2024 07:53:12
Move Murrillo to left back Aina to RB you've got 3-4 CB at the club so with Toff, Richard's and Williams we have cover and I've not spent a penny bring in only Quality to improve those players.

23 May 2024 07:56:11
Are we getting Omar Richards back?.

23 May 2024 09:18:20
He's a forest player.

23 May 2024 10:49:26
Matip been released at Liverpool not sure on his fitness but big lad and experienced and free.

22 May 2024 17:44:47
Agree with everyone on here that the fringe players have to go to reduce costs and keep everyone happy. What some are missing on here is that these players are not playing in our away matches where our defensive capabilities are embarrassing and also at home where we are throwing away leads. It is these players that have to be upgraded to make any difference next season! I have watched every away game for the last 2 seasons either at the venues or on tv and the following surely are the problem?
Niakate
Williams
Danilo
Omabamadele
(and Origi for not scoring)
I'm surprised that other discerning fans who watch away game can't see the failings of these players. The defence and defensive midfield qualities have to be improved to give us a chance away from home - no point in sending the same players out - the terrible away form will continue and put pressure on us to win at home.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 May 2024 20:29:52
Danillo has been great and the Irish lad is young and has a touch of class, so is Danillo both 21
You have the patience of a nat mate
Luckily most fans and the staff see the quality.

23 May 2024 10:06:56
We finished 4th from bottom above 3 poor quality Championship standard teams, and below Everton with a 10 point deduction and the worst season from a Brentford team (small club) for a long time. The table confirms the quality of our weaker players and does not lie. We have been riding our luck and it will run out next season if these players continue not to turn up in games. We are not a charity.

23 May 2024 21:16:39
We've got rid of the players we don't need
Arter, origi, reyna, tavares, mckenna, fillipe, Hennessey, kouyate and montiel although I would like it if we signed him at the right price
We will sell Worrall, bowler, Hwang, obrein, and one of turner or the Greek or both
Expect awoniyi to be on his way aswell
What you forget is players like
Elanga, Hudson, danillo, MGW, Williams, murillo the Irish lad, are all 21 to 23 years old and will have learned a lot about the premier and just get better, what a tremendous bunch of young talent that is to build on
If we have to sacrifice one for ffp, it still leaves us with the nucleus of a good side with a few quality additions and a few loans
Other than montiel the loans haven't worked out this season, we just need to pick better in that market
I'm really looking forwards to next season as I believe we will bring in a few more south Americans with quality
We have quality players in Dominguez, wood, aina, boly, and the reliable Yates.

23 May 2024 22:44:36
Also got another 15 million coming in for mangala after his initial 10 million loan
Danillo a class player, sprays a great pass around, breaks it up and moves us forward fast, knows when to run with the ball, is powerful and can score, great box to box player and at 21 and with 18 months if the premier under hus belt will really shine next season.

22 May 2024 14:14:57
The Burning Question?
Have we been able to retain the services of the Set Piece Coach?

22 May 2024 16:19:19
I think negotiations ran into a wall mate, unlike the oppositions free kicks!

22 May 2024 16:35:27
Apparently l, negotiations for a new deal went over his head??.

22 May 2024 17:49:19
Think we should spray oops!. Draw a line under this!
???.

22 May 2024 18:04:56
It, s still all up in the air.
CARLO.

22 May 2024 18:36:32
I'd forgotten we had one McGovern.

22 May 2024 18:58:51
All in all it's just another, prick in the wall.

22 May 2024 20:41:56
Best one mate lol!

22 May 2024 21:34:41
Always a close shave if toney takes one against us.

22 May 2024 11:34:13
I will do a bit of sleuthing whilst I'm in Corfu. I've not been to Greece since Mr Marinakos took over. I invariably slob around in Forest shirt and many Greeks you meet ( and Europeans generally) love to talk football especially Premiership so I'd be interested to hear what they have to say about the big man!
I won't mention bakeries though.

Elanga
MGW
Danilo
Hudson Odoi

Awoniyi.

22 May 2024 11:10:53
Good shout Munmad but I’d have Yates in there somewhere and if the first game is Man City, Arsenal etc I’d have 3 at the back, so Niakhate?
As they say, if you fail to plan you plan to fail! Nothing like forward planning ??.

22 May 2024 13:07:12
MM Yates I think you have to fit in the team. He is an end to end player with amazing energy. Even his shooting has improved over this season. Sangare would have to prove himself to us all. Essentially you have 5 attacking players. MGW is the pivotal player of the team and should not have defensive duties. One of Elanga and HO need to drop to the bench to create a midfield. My choice would be Dominguez and Yates but a little unfair on Danillo. We have not had our monies worth out of Tiawo, and probably atm we would choose Woods over him, but he is also prone to
Injury so a new striker is required whether this the Costa Rican or the Portugese that we already have on our books. It is not clear why either have not been in the 21’s. Sels has done enough in goal to stay as no 1. There is a long term problem persuading players to come to our club. So my view is we have to use the players we have got and are paying the salaries of. Otherwise players we sign may just have come for their pension.

22 May 2024 13:19:41
Good post Doc. ?.

22 May 2024 13:52:04
Awonyi? ????.
Forest need and upgrade who can play more than 10 game's and who isn't made out of balsa wood!

22 May 2024 13:57:41
Good team MUNMAD but I'd play ???? before Sangare. He's 56 and been out of the game for a while. But he's stayed reasonably fit and you can't question the lads commitment. He also comes on a free for a couple of grand a week?.

21 May 2024 20:32:06
Pocchettiti on is way to forest ??.

Agree3 Disagree0

22 May 2024 11:13:09
Not surprised it’s a wonderful city if you’re a tourist. He’s a great manager imo, got handed the ?end of the stick at Chelsea but still turned it round. Perhaps he’s heard that justice is catching up with them?

21 May 2024 17:21:31
Agree totally, Murrillo could become a world class defensive midfield player who scores 8 goals a season from distance. He is not quite tall enough to play centre back in the modern game but makes up for it in physical strength - you are always going to be slightly disadvantaged and liable to give free kicks away. I would even give him a shot at centre forward in a game where we are comfortable (if there ever is such a game! ).

Agree6 Disagree0

21 May 2024 18:08:49
It will become his next step redhotred and will make him a world class player.

21 May 2024 19:26:34
Not a chance
He's a defender
How tall was burns
How tall was walker
Talking nonsense as usual.

21 May 2024 19:47:48
He's plenty good enough to adapt. We also need another experienced CB as Boly isn't that young.

If it wasn't for the pathetic set-piece defending and goalkeeping cock-up, Cooper and Nuno would not have been under so much pressure this season. Crazy amount of money spent just to avoid paying Navas good wages.

21 May 2024 19:59:23
Echo chamber or what.

Playing CB you have whole pitch in front of you, tend to have small amount of time to have a look and release the ball mainly long distance

CM is a 360 degree role receive from CB turn n spin short ball to creative player players coming at you peeling off etc

We've an absolute rough diamond of a class CB learning his trade and looking fantastic for a young lad on first season in prem why change it

Sangare the man we need to sort his stuff out he's the midfielder you want murillo to be.

21 May 2024 20:57:36
Hope so Skegs ?.

21 May 2024 21:57:04
Can't be as bad has you calling carvahlo the next Ronaldo wait and see Mr flat pack he's going to be great has a DM ?.

21 May 2024 22:41:45
Your words not mine skeggs
Liked him but never actually said that
Murillo is a central defender that has made a lot of pundits agree he 8s class
So wh6 would redhot and a skeggs be right that his next move is midfield?
Clueless.

22 May 2024 10:13:30
Nuno to Bayern Munich ???.

22 May 2024 11:09:44
Arter to Ilkeston Town.

22 May 2024 13:03:43
Jester ? if he goes to Ilkeston Town I hope he don't need a kitchen fitting ????.

22 May 2024 13:36:28
He's had enough time to go on a second fit course he's probably looking for someone to go into partnership with locally.

22 May 2024 21:28:20
Balloons, I've made a nice life working hard, no advertising just doing a good job for nice people.

Jester, I don't need a partner and I don't want much work, get my pension and work when I want to for who I want to.

I didn't spend my life like balloons taking the piss out of prisoners because he could, seems old habits die hard with balloons.

23 May 2024 12:30:09
Nothing wrong with taking the piss out of prisoners DTP however pensioners is another matter mate! ???.

21 May 2024 15:59:13
As far as next years Prem is concerned, there is hope from other teams problems imo
Everton will continue to struggle financially ( which equates to their best players like Branthwaite being sold to balance the books), Leicester will have some FFP issues to deal with, Ipswich will have the same disadvantages we had on promotion after many years away and I can see them becoming the new Luton ie plenty of team spirit but not much quality wise. Both Southampton and Leeds have ongoing issues in rebuilding for the Prem, in fact if Leeds don't get promoted they could face financial meltdown.
Of course there's always the prospect of justice catching up with Manchester City and Chelsea finally ????
I think if we can keep our noses clean, with 2 or 3 quality signings rather than the 20 or 30 largely mediocre ones we have a good chance of mid table.

21 May 2024 18:03:03
Wow stokey don't you think we have enough long posts of rubbish we after put up with on a Friday night from a certain Geordie gentleman ? are you on the tea time sherry's you need to go dust down your books down in the library so someone can hit you over the head with a candlestick I'm guessing that it could be balloons who does it ??.

21 May 2024 20:46:23
Well, we put up with your posts Skegs - so quid pro quo.

21 May 2024 21:00:53
I only do fridays skegs full of drink. You do daily. Day and night ?.

21 May 2024 21:23:36
Stella, mate, I hope the blow from the candlestick doesn’t cause me brain damage. After all, it’s my second favourite organ! ??.

21 May 2024 22:03:45
??? you 2 I climbed a mountain for charity and I climbed stairs for a fag ????.

21 May 2024 22:44:04
That could be taken many ways skeggs
Think about it?

22 May 2024 08:55:47
Nice one Ff.

22 May 2024 13:37:56
Very clever DTP!

22 May 2024 14:17:17
I ve never smoked in my life Stella but I always carried a packet of cigs and a lighter throughout my Police service. Apart from interviews I got 2 commendations for persuading 2 burglars to swap their knives for a fag ( and ten minutes to smoke them) and one for getting an AWOL built like a brick ?house to surrender into my custody for a smoke with both of us in the middle of a field outside Stapleford. More use than my baton which I never used in 30 years on the frontline except to break into houses ( smash the smallest window then use the strap to lift the catch ).

22 May 2024 21:32:07
Skeggs would of been wise to have a condom on him stokey.
