My Forest team for the European away trip-
All Edu signings plus Edu in the dug out organising his troops if gardening leave isn’t quite up to his tastes.
Stick in Abbott and a few of the young guys to show the flops what wearing a Forest shirt really means.

Let the whole world see what a giant pile of excrement Edu has signed.
Platt wasted millions, this guy is on a whole new level.

So Chelski are found guilty by the Premier League for illegal payments, and get a slapped wrist! 1 year transfer ban, suspended for 2 years! So is this justice?
Will Man City also dodge a bullet?
Is this punishment just for the so-called big 6, or will all teams get away with serious financial fraud?

Absolutely bent Redtree. There's an excellent article on it on the BBC football website. Apparently what saved them from points deduction was that the new company that bought Chelsea from Abramovitch self reported his corruption after going through the books on acquisitions. Also the money made didn't exceed the FFP limit.
I await with interest Man City's fate

I emailed the Prem last week and asked them why they haven't responded to my letter from last year. No reply or acknowledgement.

If it had been us, it would have been an instant points deduction. Two-tier justice in the Premier League.

Anyone want a spare Forest scarf? πŸ˜€πŸ™„
Can't criticise the lads for effort. It didn't have the energy of the Liverpool game but also it wasn't as lacklustre as Brighton. Fine margins again. What did Napoleon say about rather having a lucky General c than a good one? On another day we'd have won that by 2 or 3 goals.
I've previously banged on about VAR on here so I won't go on about "Refs calls, on field reviews by team captains, 2 or at most 3, each, 10 seconds to decide, like Cricket. Or to remove obvious reffing bloopers.
As VP rightly said, a goal allowed for Liverpool and ruled out for us by the width of a toenail. I'm interested in Arsene Wengers current experiment as part of his FIFA development role in the Canadian Leagues into VAR and the " clear daylight " rule in a new off side rule. I think that's going a bit far myself but VAR s use atm is killing the game.
As for our scoring problems it's a bit unfair on Jesus. He cost Β£10 million, what do you expect., He works hard and will cone good.

A world class striker costs northwards of Β£60 million. Instead our recruitment team decided we didn't need a standby for an excellent striker in the twilight of his career, and thus more liable to injury. Blaming Jesus, Taiwo and Lucca for their shortcomings is like blaming vinegar for tasting sour ( as the Taoists say).
So, decision time folks. Does VP send out his second string on Thursday and put his first team in a bandbox ( as Lord Raglan said of the Light Brigade in the Crimea) before the vital Spurs game?
I think Spurs will be obliged to send out their best available team on Wednesday in an attempt to retrieve their Champions League situation, perhaps rest players when it becomes hopeless ie when Athletico score a couple of it gets to half an hour to go with a 4 nil against aggregate. I think Mr M will insist on us doing the same, unfortunately.
I'd go reverse at one nil down. Start weak, stay in the game until half an hour to go then change itl up.
What do we think?

There was talk in the supporters club that Wood won't be available this season, but he was hoping to be fit for the World Cup. Mr M should insist that he stays in Nottingham and puts in a close season for the club. I'm not blaming him for our demise, as there are ten other players on the pitch, but I'm sure he would have made an enormous difference had he been fit.

As for the scarves, I saw two floating down the river as I crossed Lady Bay Bridge.

Put all our best players out, make them earn their money. We're only 1 nil down. Win against them at their place, confidence boost for the Spurs game. If you're going to save your best players for Sunday, keep them at home, no point bringing them on late in a game when you're already losing.

Stokie, if they had spent north of 60 million on a decent striker, that would still have left 120 million of the wasted 180 spent on the likes of.
Hutchinson/ Franz Carr 2.0, all speed & no end product.
Igor Jesus wept. Couldn't the striker match.
Bakwa, you came from, you fraud.
James, make the tea. Only fit for mashing at half time.
Cuhna, tackle as if his life depends on it.

Kilamanjaro. Quick sell him, he scores goals for fun.
Shambles of a window. Shambles of an owner trying to buy everyone's loyalty with a few Temu scarfs.
Shambles of a season & there was no need for any of it.
As long as he's got his double sized seat to dump his jumbo sized cannon on every match. With his personal TV screen to watch Corrie when he's bored with the woeful football. Jobs a gud un.

Excellent, Larry, and all. πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ‘ πŸ‘
Hey, Vale, as long as it was only scarves floating down the River, mate, and not Forest fans reaching the end of their tether.
By way of a grisly footnote, the River Trent was one of the boundaries between the old City and County Police Forces.

I heard many credible stories from some of the old timers, before amalgamation, of bodies found floating, being pushed during the night from one bank to another using rowing boats to avoid having to investigate the deaths on behalf of the Coroner. Highly reprehensible, of course.

Whatever happens, Spurs will get an extra day of recovery and prepare with no travel. Their game on Wednesday will be interesting. Effectively starting 3 nil down, if Atletico get an early couple of goals, making it, say, 5 nil at half time, then I expect Tudor to start withdrawing key players, ready for us on Sunday.

However, this may not be acceptable to Spurs fans and hierarchy, already on his back despite a better showing against Liverpool.
But, if Spurs get a first half couple, then he will keep his best 11 on.
Extra time and a few knocks will be very very helpful to us...

Why start a must win game with the same attacker up top? Jesus puts a shift in, but he doesn't score in the Premier League! Taiwo should have started!
So we need a goal and VP takes MGW off for Yates! I love Yatesey, he is Garibaldi through and through, but why?
Only positives really, we didn't lose to Fulham for a change, plus Spurs might not get rid of their interim manager before our visit!
COYR.

After that disappointing bore draw against Fulham, we have to target Spurs, Burnley, Sunderland and Bournemouth games to get the points we need to stay up, as I can’t see us getting anything against Chelsea and Man Utd.

We also have a chance of pts against Villa and Newcastle.

With our squad we should be able to beat Sunderland and Burnley; Spurs and Bournemouth might be more difficult.

VP imo should start Awoniyi and Ndoye up top for the rest of the season and go for a 3-5-2 formation.

We have to try something different and looked more threatening when those 2 came on.

Munmad, I agree about giving the striking dept a shake up. Jesus is a terrible player, and he has cost us this season. However, I was watching Lucca the other night and he was moving well, losing his defender, looking for opportunities but the ball didn't come into the box.

It was the same old yesterday. We get bogged down in wide positions with no idea of an early cross. I would play Hutchinson, Ndoye and Lucca. I think a confident Lucca will get the goals if we find him early enough.

3

16 Mar 2026 09:34:39
I applaud your optimism, Munmad, and of course hope you're right, but after yesterday I can only see a win against Burnley and maybe a few draws. Awoniyi was an improvement on Jesus yesterday, but he still didn't look like scoring a goal.

We need to play a weak side against the Danes to rest some players, and hope Cunha is fit for selection against Spurs. It's a shame Netz isn't available in Europe. Promote a couple of youngsters on Thursday to the squad also.

16 Mar 2026 09:39:34
Tiawo must be in the first 11 for every match till the season end. Accepting he did not score, but he had several chances to. A lot more than Jesus in half the time on the pitch.
If he can form an attacking partnership with Ndoye, so be it, starting Thursday. Let's face reality, the Danish side are unbeaten at home.

They beat us at our place with us playing a full-strength side. VP should use this match to sort out the chaff, ie, not use any player who will play on Sunday, except Big T and Ndoye. Just a final point, if we end up relegated, I think Big M will sell up.

16 Mar 2026 09:40:11
It's all sounds pretty desperate when we have to rely on them players you are asking to come up with something, apart from Hutchinson, who is a top Championship player. The rest have been crap since they've been here.

1

16 Mar 2026 09:56:07
As we saw yesterday, even a 'top six' side turns it on against a top six team, so I feel we might do better against Chelsea and Utd, Munmad?
Against the middling teams - sometimes we don't compete; we started against Fulham like we weren't interested!

0

16 Mar 2026 10:14:16
Apart from Burnley, don't really see anymore wins. They should let the Europa League go and put a few of the youngers out, give Blake a game. He's got to be better than Jesus. Noticed Mr M wasn't there yesterday.

16 Mar 2026 08:43:38
It goes without saying that has each game passes us by without a breakthrough win, we will have the must win scenario. Do you think this manager and squad can come up with goods? Personally don't think has a team we can do it at the moment. Maybe when it matters they will All step up. πŸ€‘πŸ€‘πŸ™πŸ™

Simple, we didn't turn up just as I feared. Why put MGW on the wing? Why lump straight balls down the middle? Is this any better than Dyche's tactics? The team looked unbalanced. Taiwo bustles and bruises but rarely gets the ball or can keep it.
Are we really going to put a second string side out in the Europa? Might as well concede defeat before we get there!
Bowie talks about dying for the shirt, but apart from MGW, Aina and Williams, I didn't see much of that today.

As for shooting, banjo and cow's botty come to mind.
There are points to be won but we aren't getting many, and no good depending on an unfit 35 year-old New Zealander to fix it for us.

2

16 Mar 2026 08:26:21
Hey bsered, that unfit New Zealander would still score more goals than the nil forwards put together. Hope he's back this weekend unfit or not.

Frustrating today, couple of centimeters on the Aina shot, goal n pen n it's different story. Guess that's the fine margins.

At least at HT he changed it, but the gaping hole left by Wood will never be filled, could play Jesus Big T and Luca n still not score.

Not sure why Domingez started, or why Yates came on when goal needed.

Fans tried a bit today but the anger disappointment n frustration bubbling very close to the surface now.

Massive next week, just think how many people they could cheer up with 2 wins.

Just got home. Did the enjoyment outweigh the hassle and time it takes to get there? I'm starting to think if it does because my word, that was dire. Because of the free scarf thing, the atmosphere at the start was quite good but as soon as Jesus lost a 5 yard race after having a 3 yard start, Anderson's first corner going straight out of play and his laughable left foot effort. It became a bit toxic around me. The toxicity didn't last long. It very soon turned to resigned pessimistic, embarrassed laughter.

Absolutely no pace, 5 yard passes way off the mark. The first half was awful. It got slightly better with the subs. Awoniyi putting himself about was entertaining and very much appreciated but not Premier League. I thought Hutchinson was our best player on Thursday and surprised he didn't start today, and again he added something. Without a centre forward we are going to really struggle, I'm sad to say. Until Wood is fit, Awoniyi is the best of a very very poor trio. Now I'm have the first of several glasses of red.

Gazzi, you nailed it, mate. That's exactly why I have stopped going. The effort far outweighs the reward - after all it's supposed to be entertainment.
Taiwo must start from now on - he did put himself about, and it's clear to everyone now that Jesus isn't a Premier League player. He couldn't trap a bag of cement.
I couldn't tell what the game plan was in the first half, but he did change it in the second period.

Spurs could have won at Anfield today. On that showing, they will easily beat us next weekend. Sad to say it, but I think we are gone, unless we start scoring soon, it's over. I hear it's 109 shots now at home for one solitary goal. Damn lies at statistics, and all that, but it's eye opening nonetheless.
