From what I saw of him live last year at Chelsea on a few occasions, he was more like Michael Caine... But I pray to God you are right.

What a major concern of mine for our club is who is in charge of recruitment of new players. Today we hear Watkins has left AV for 50m. Did we bid for him? We let a Moreira go out on loan - a wing back, yet we are in for another Brazilian one.
We sell Awonyi for a mere 9M but keep Jesus. On whose radar was the new central defender? If all these decisions were OGs I would be resigned to see how they work out. You can blame Big M as the buck will always be with him.
However he bankrolls our club and he is the reason we enjoy premiership football today. I have not enjoyed the first two matches of the season. Perhaps OG now understands the players better. There is no doubt all fans should be 100% supportive. There is no alternative. You have to believe it will come right. My understanding was a similar situation occurred with his previous club at the beginning.

Strangely I think the fate of OG will be up to the fans. The reaction to Posta-no-clue was unbelievable- I have never heard anything like it. Chanting, and boos, a very negative feeling around WFCG. That after only a small handful of games.
Looking at the fixture list we could well be in the bottom three after 5 or 6 games. How will the fans react?
Patience really is needed. I did think this may happen after a couple of those preseason games which were awful.
Score a few goals and still lose- the fans may buy into the longer term approach.
Lose without scoring and it’s a whole different kettle of fish. We are in unprecedented times, no club can keep changing managers at this rate and survive in their respective divisions. It must affect the players. There you have it. Support OG through this sticky patch or be prepared to really suffer. It’s up to us as fans to make the choice.

Well, if he gets the boot after 6 games, that will be 2 million a game plus extras. Doubt he'll moan, then end up at a club with a proper owner & win more silverware.
27 Aug 2026 13:31:43
He would fit the mold of our owners' managerial appointments, Larry. Mostly 2 years' wages for 2 months' work.

Today's posts include some heartfelt contributions with valid perspectives, in addition to some that are sarcastic in tone. On a more serious note, I anticipate a challenging season ahead. It is difficult to understand why Marinakis would replace VP, who had the team performing harmoniously, only to be dismissed.
Does OG possess the cunning and resolve required to successfully implement his strategic approach with the team?
Stability is essential, but results are needed as soon as possible, otherwise another roll of the will be on the table.
Hoping things will balance out for the greater good.

A very fair post. If we are guaranteed one thing with Marinakis, it is change. Last year, it was repeated change when it went wrong (or didn't go well quickly enough), but also change even when it went well (VP).
So, logically, if OG has a tough 6/7 matches, he will come under pressure, and he could even get the chop, therefore.
Let's hope it doesn't get to that. I can see us Supermarket Sweeping over the next week to get more signings, and let's hope there's enough in that. There's probably no great plan; it doesn't appear to have been since we came back.
What is intriguing about OG is that he is 100% his own person. He speaks his mind and is direct. So he could well clash with M even more than others (albeit both parties will have known that).
One thing is also for sure - OG is a very good manager. What he achieved with Frankfurt and also Palace was remarkable really. He's the real deal but that doesn't mean he will get the time and kind of support he probably needs.
26 Aug 2026 23:16:27
Very good and reasoned posts, guys. I still can't quite believe that Mr M threw out a coach, VP, who had our team cohesive, playing great football, and winning games. It simply doesn't make sense.
I don't buy into the debates about who is the better coach. I don't care. For me, I'm a great believer that the 'proof of the pudding is in the eating'. VP had Forest in the perfect place. Big M has ruined that.
26 Aug 2026 23:20:38
L, can't argue with that. VP did a remarkable job.
27 Aug 2026 08:49:59
Great posts all of the above. ? ?
26 Aug 2026 20:11:09
Ok, remember my predictions. ?
Nah, Reds seriously. I've seen more passion on a subbuteo table.
No passion, players looked clueless.
No fluency, any decent cross coming in over the two games were wasted.
Even our brilliant defence, to which we rely on, looked hapless.
Actually like to know how the coaching went over the summer went.
Coz from what I've seen so far, Leeds had an extra yard on us.
I know the new coach (hard to say his name atm, ) will be getting to know his players.
But what about the fans? Does he think we want to watch this boring sh#t?
Tell ya, his style and getting the players to respond just isn't gonna happen.
Even mgw can't be arsed to bring the oranges on.
Woods zimmer needs updating to aluminium.
Aye wa doomed.
Al my mates and two sons saying we messed up with delap. (Probably coz they were after him)
We try we faulter still got our family, friends and hope.

26 Aug 2026 20:35:28
And he's back in the room. ???
26 Aug 2026 21:31:14
Sorry for trying to be positive. I'll try not to drag you up in future. ?
26 Aug 2026 21:32:02
I keep seeing people saying these players have been terrible for years, it's not the manager... They were winning and playing well under the last manager.
26 Aug 2026 21:32:27
And the players looked like a team and happy.
26 Aug 2026 22:15:57
All joking aside, Cyclist, you are absolutely right, mate. ???
26 Aug 2026 22:16:47
Relax, Cyclist. ?
26 Aug 2026 18:40:30
I think OG was a bit disingenuous in his post-match comments, particularly saying we spent .9 months fighting relegation and there’s a lot to sort out, and it will take weeks and months etc.
Actually, statistically, I believe VPs spell in charge would have put us in the top 5 if achieved over a full season…. Just saying …….

Unfortunately, Stokey, we will never know how far we could have progressed with VP.
26 Aug 2026 21:05:41
He walked into a club that was really improving towards the end of the season...
Just own it, Ollie.
26 Aug 2026 21:18:06
Vd done the same thing at Wolves and flopped the next season, fact. That's why he was sacked, fact. ?
26 Aug 2026 21:22:05
The ever cynical Skeg.
The Arbiter of Wit.
The troll of Forest fans.
Welcome the Sheep. ??
26 Aug 2026 21:33:52
Wolves sold VP's best players over the summer. Look at his actual record on his CV. He's a good coach and has proven it for years.
26 Aug 2026 21:36:44
??? is that all you've got ripley ?? the man that slates Mr m at every chancehe gets. I think you need to look at yourself my little baaa baaa ? ?
26 Aug 2026 21:52:27
Vp has gone, and never will he come back, same as Cooper, Nuno, Dyche, blah blah blah. Let's move on. ?? Glasner is our manager and a top, proven Premier League manager, fact. And, according to some of you, he has also lost Forest's best player in Anderson. ?
26 Aug 2026 22:18:30
You are absolutely right, Cyclist, about Wolves selling VP's best players, but don't confuse Skeggs with the facts once his mind is made up, mate.
27 Aug 2026 05:41:45
Skeg I can throw buns all day if required.
Your post's are boring now.
Instead of repeating the same old tripe how about a constructive post.
Has anyone brought Dierby yet!???
27 Aug 2026 09:41:39
Skeggs, just a gentle bit of advice for the future, mate... Putting "fact" after everything you post doesn't make it so. Unless it's a stat or empirical deduction, which your opinions aren't. Just saying. (I know what's coming... fact.... ?????)
27 Aug 2026 09:54:54
Morning Stokie, I must be the first thing u think about in the morning. And, probably all day, living in your head, pal. ?
27 Aug 2026 08:13:27
Ripley im not the one thats been slating mr m in every post near enough.
That's you pal like i said before you only come on site when there's something negative going on at forest like the diomande where he wasn't going to be signed up couldn't wait to slate our owner then when he was signed you disappeared again like I said pal baaaaa baaaaaa ?
27 Aug 2026 11:08:12
Nah! ?
27 Aug 2026 11:20:15
Insofar as I think about you at all, mate, I share the opinion of many on here that you a small man in all senses of the word, self delusional, attention seeking and invariably wrong about everything you say.
You can’t even remember what you’ve posted apparently and are too frightened to respond to my perfectly reasonable question about your Nuno assertion in case you get caught out again.
Leaving aside that you are on the wrong site and routinely abuse anyone who beats you in debate, you just embarrass yourself virtually every day.
Part of me feels sorry for you. The other part of me feels contempt.
Fact ……
26 Aug 2026 12:17:13
Hi you guys, glad to see nothing's changed on here. Bring back Nuno, he will soon be available. OG reminded me of the Wally with the Brolly last night, clueless ? ?.

Og will be allowed 6 games to turn the team around. A loss against Liverpool will be on the cards, and a test of his management prowess. A loss against Coventry, however, with Awoniyi scoring will be a nail in the coffin.
26 Aug 2026 17:07:59
The return of the legend, super jester, welcome back, O mighty one. ?
26 Aug 2026 17:20:16

26 Aug 2026 18:09:46
I'm surprised you've managed to do 2 years being a Forest fan. ?
26 Aug 2026 18:53:22
Well, after last night, I was craving a spiced rum.
26 Aug 2026 19:31:18
