Yates is all heart, 100% effort and bleeds Forest. He lacks the technical skills of Anderson, MGW and Sanghere, which was as good a midfield as any in the Prem. He may get more of a chance now Anderson's and McAteer too possibly gone.


I've said on here many, many times that, before any architect can build anything beautiful, he needs a hod carrier.
Yates is one of the best in the business imo.

A lot of people who know nothing about football make the same mistake about McGovern. Immense workrate, great leader, won the ball and passed it, as Cloughie famously instructed, to "someone who could play."
There's a reason why Cloughie took him to virtually every club he managed.


I think he was as good as the great hod carriers like Deschamps and Kante.
Yates may not get much game time, but when he does, he will make the most of it.
He bullies and dominates very talented opponents. Glasner may take to him.

How can FIFA appoint an Argentinian referee for the England game? When there must be so many alternatives. Patently he will book Bellingham as he will be an Argentinian supporter. The FA should complain.
