I've just read an article about Mr M, being on trial in Athens, incitement to riot are the charges! A riot police officer died after being hit by a flare! Surely not our Mr M, he's a nice guy lol.

Just heard Stephen Crean on talksport.

What a guy!

Makes you feel humble.

Be nice to see him on the pitch Sunday to get the applause he deserves.

Many of his goals were struck from 25 yds or more, one of the hardest shots in football along with Hinton and Lorimer. at the time, with a much heavier ball that soaked up the moisture.

Get well soon to the people on the train on Saturday, especially if any of them are Reds fans from the London area. Fair play to Mr M for offering financial assistance for medical treatment, the man has a heart!

I'm just reading that at least one Forest supporter Steven Crean? ( and probably more) on the train "had a go" at the attacker before his arrest. He received knife wounds but looks likely to survive.
Well done fellow Reds and my very best wishes for recovery to the one man still in a life threatening condition in hospital, a LNER staff member.

The train driver, who's quick thinking in raising the alarm and organising help ahead at Huntingdon Station saved many lives, Andrew Johnson, is a former Royal Navy Chief Petty Officer served 17 years and raises funds for the Royal British Legion.
It's very moving to still see heroes come to the fore in dire circumstances.

02 Nov 2025 20:26:30
I've been reading there were a fair number of Forest supporters on that train Stokey. What a nightmare for all involved.

I know that the media always loves to report a 'working class hero' story from such events. But I was reading today about a guy who apparently picked up an empty whisky bottle to defend the people in his carriage from the knife-wielding attackers.

If this is a true story, I'd love to think that bloke is a Red. Wishing a quick recovery to all those injured yesterday. I also wish that swift and severe justice is served on the attackers.

Agree3 0Disagree

02 Nov 2025 20:54:14
Agree with that Lego, my friend. Apparently itโ€™s one attacker, the other man arrested released without charge. Sounds like a lone butter but time will tell.
Andrew Johnson is a Gulf War veteran, served on a ship engaged in minesweeping operations on the Tigres River.
In that enclosed situation any object will do as a defensive weapon.

I once hit a bloke coming at me using his own TV set in his living room. Yet I never used my truncheon on anybody in 30 years service. Only used it to gain access to houses by smashing a small window then using the leather strap to lift the catch.

02 Nov 2025 21:53:18
Confirmed Steven Crean is an Irish Forest fan Rogie who defended a group of kids on the train and sustained injuries.

I've been reading-up on this guy Steven Crean and also about the Honours System today. I've decided to wait a few days for the full story to filter-through, then - if everything is correct, I will be nominating Steve for an MBE. From what I've read about him so far, this guy thoroughly deserves to be officially recognised for his selfless actions.

From the pictures I've seen of him, he isn't the biggest guy in the world. However, he certainly showed his massive spirit in wanting to protect others during that horrible incident. A proper bloke with a big heart. A Red Dog through-and-through!

Also, I've read more today about the guy stood in the isle with an empty whisky bottle in his hand - trying to protect the people fleeing behind him from the attacker/ s. I don't think this was Steven, so if any of you know who this person is please pass his details onto me. I'll travel anywhere in the UK by train to deliver a fresh bottle of quality whisky to this guy. He deserves it.

A lot of people moved to Norfolk during and since the pandemic. One more has joined that list! Moving to a large cottage on an estate.

Andrew Mountbatten will probably stroll his way down to the marsh and look over The Wash, see the rare birds and in the fading light of evening smile at the lights of Skegness across the water. I think he'll take a deep breath, and, well penny for them Andy?

Wonder if he follows football, Skegs.

My Son Served for 27 years, was front line in Iraq, rose to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and came out highly decorated.

I've just looked at this again in sobriety. I'm touched by the lovely birthday messages - thank you Reds.

I'm intrigued though which 'keyboard warrior' out there disliked my first post. What is there to dislike? I was just talking about my previous ill health and my beloved family.

I'm not posting this with any intention of confrontation. I'm still too hung-over from last night for that! I'd just love to know, from a psychological viewpoint, which poster out there didn't like my first post and the reasons why.

I'll respect that poster so much if he replies to this.

Legolas, on the BBC HYS on the passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andrea, there was down votes on there, you just hope when they think about it they have some regret?. even here for our own Stuart's son Harley, some down votes on people's feelings.

I suppose life is too short to worry about such things too much. However, I wish that negative people like this would have the balls as men to step out the shadows and explain their reasoning.

They dissappear anyway once it goes to banter 2

I've had a couple of wines to celebrate my birthday chaps (against Dr's orders as usual. ). However, we've just had a very surreal experience here which, initially, I put down to the booze. When Mrs Legolas got involved though I realised that I wasn't seeing things!

I went out earlier to our back door to find a Canadian Goose sat there. He didn't shy away or flinch. Initially I thought it was injured but no - I opened the door and he casually wandered into our house, shitting profusely in our kitchen as he went. He wandered around in our house for around 20 minutes, including warming himself by the fire.

Surreal to say the least. I like to think that it was my late Mum/ Dad coming to wish me a happy birthday.

Wow. Thank you Silkman for your kind and heartfelt message. That means a lot to me mate.

FYI I was close to getting the ultimate birthday present today but, unfortunately, I didn't quite secure it. My 3 year homeless client has now moved into his council flat that I got for him, but I was hoping for good news today on the ยฃ3.5K I'm trying to scrounge for him to get it carpeted and equipped with white goods/ a sofa etc. The poor soul only has a bed and a microwave oven. He sits on a cheap camping chair in the evening trying to relax. Noone should have to live like that nowadays, especially someone who served for 14 years in our Armed Forces.

I'll keep fighting for him and, hopefully, I'll get that money for him over the next few days. That'll be a a nice, belated, birthday present for me.
