I think Group C of the World Cup is the most boring group since Coldplay started in the 1990's . 🫩🥱.

Having watched him playing alongside my boy, to the great man he is now. True ambassador to the game, gets stuck in. Can dribble, amazing passing sense. Just reads the game like a true professional. Amazing red. Never forgotten. When we all thought he'd be down, just lifted us up. Thank you sir for your brilliant service. Good luck.

Good luck Elliot. I have been so impressed by you and I believe you are the best midfielder in the Prem. Man City are so lucky to have got in first, as there is so much more to come from you for sure for them and England.
Thank you. Just like to echo Red Frogs' words to Forest: not to blow it, average players like last season. Quality not quantity must be the priority from now on. U REDS.

Managed to get back into the site today. Had to reverse my username, but I'm glad to be back. Sorry to see Anderson go, and I feel he will be sadly missed. I don't know who could take his place.
The young lad from Spurs is being mooted, but is still a bit of an unknown. Mr M needs to buy wisely, and bring in a player who can work with MGW and give confidence to the team.

Welcome back, Red Rogie!
🤣🤣🤣
26 Jun 2026 20:29:32
Thanks, Rogie, much appreciated. I'd be very surprised if MGW and Murillo stayed. I just think they see what money Anderson will be getting and think "I like a piece of that".
{Ed001's Note - the 6m Anderson got as his cut of the transfer fee will be enticing too!}
26 Jun 2026 21:00:07
Really hope not, mate...
If that was the case, we'd be going backwards.
26 Jun 2026 21:02:51
Absolutely ed.
26 Jun 2026 21:49:55
Well, we started it off with Francis. Now Anderson. What a club, hey. We get to dizzy heights and outdo ourselves. We will now be paying over the odds for any half decent players. Think it will again come back to bite us in the arse.
26 Jun 2026 22:43:30
Spot on, Skeggs, everyone knows we've got the cash, so the price on any player we want will go higher than their worth. Pants down again!
26 Jun 2026 11:41:53
Good bit of business for Anderson and I genuinely wish the lad well. He's a real talent and deserves to play in a top team.
My only worry is we will waste the transfer money on players like we signed last season.
Our recruitment department over the last 14 months has been absolutely awful. We need a couple of solid signings or players like MGW and Murillo will look around the dressing room and think what they hell am I doing here?
26 Jun 2026 16:44:02
Aina, Sels, and The Serbinater aren't bad mate, but I do agree most are dogs 💩. 🌳
26 Jun 2026 17:11:06
Sangare is coming along fine now...
26 Jun 2026 19:40:52
Don't know how we missed out on Harry Wilson... Especially for nothing.
26 Jun 2026 21:33:36
He doesn't fit the recruitment model, Rogie, but, yeah, agreed, quality player. 🌳
26 Jun 2026 10:25:59
Just a couple of points .
Anderson was always going to go and well done Mr M for getting the mega few for him. Obviously, I'd have preferred him to stay but a good piece of business all round, astutely taking advantage of Newcastles FFP problems. £30 m plus a useless Greek goalkeeper. Born in Newcastle, made in Nottingham, will shine in Manchester. Good luck to the lad. The "Judas" comment on here is ludicrous as I think we all know. It's better to have had it and lost it rather than never to have had it all. A pleasure to see a Ando play.
For us, FFP sorted. My biggest wish is that we keep the teams core, Sels, Murillo, MGW, Sanghere, Aina, Williams. My second wish is that we don't spaff our largesse up the wall on a dozen mediocre ( at best) players and we get the business done early. 4 players at the most I think. Replace Ando ( I've always rated Bergvekdt at Spurs, don't know much about Frattesi), beef up the goalkeeping department and a striker perhaps. Woodys not getting any younger though Taiwo was coming good towards the end of the season.
For Man City, I think their punishment will emerge after the World Cup but before the pre season. It's doubly unfortunate for them that Andy Burnham will be PM, knows his football and is all for Government regulation of the Premiership, absolute anathema for any corrupt and money orientated body. So, they will ( belatedly) make an example of the biggest transgressors ( and long overdue).
I honestly share the view of Ed1. City will take the points hit and even spend a season in the Championship before they start cheating again for the next decade.

Pundits say Wharton is a comparable player and offer them a 100 M for him. We do not want left overs, ie players who have moved and not made it. Fratessi is an example of a player not making it in his current club. So why would he make it at ours? I am doubtful if Wharton would want to come to us, unless he spoke to Anderson. It’s obvious to me and many that Anderson is a future England captain and a world class player. Citehs new manager should build the City squad around him.
We can be very proud, as a club, that we nurtured him. He will leave a big hole. However, although not everyone’s cup of tea, McAtee will come good this season. We cannot allow the club to fritter away this cash injection. Somebody sensible needs to make the final decisions. This next season is critical for us, and Bowen, as an example signing, would be a mark in the sand for us. Add him to Wharton and the next season I would have no worries at all.
26 Jun 2026 19:33:24
It's a nice thought, Nuno, but Wharton won't come to us, he's got some Europa League football to play for next season, mate.
100 million is excessive anyway for a midfielder unless you're a Declan Rice. Such fees are well out of our market range. I like the Spurs lad Bergvekdt when I've seen him play.
26 Jun 2026 10:21:16
Now Elanga is liberated from Newcastle, he's playing well and scoring goals. I'd have him back if Howe doesn't rate him.
26 Jun 2026 12:15:51
They know we've now got plenty of money and we had their pants down last time. They'll be looking for payback.
26 Jun 2026 09:56:35
Who will score first? Mmmbop or Ahaland?
26 Jun 2026 15:43:24
I got it oggy. 🤣
26 Jun 2026 08:09:20
Well, looking at results last night, it looks like there's been some, shall we say 'jiggery pockey' for finishing positions! Some sides not wanting to head groups, or finish second! Maybe that's what Tuchell did against a very good Ghana side. Try not to win lol
But the Jock Army look like coming home, so the bars will be quieter without the bagpipes!
26 Jun 2026 08:05:06
Good luck at Man City, Elliott, thank you for wearing the Garibaldi with pride. It's been a pleasure watching you play lad, all the best!
